The next day

Ryan black p.o.v.

Today i was visiting another pack known as blood sun they are known for being agressive, but we are on good terms with them, i was acompanied by my friend and beta allen.

Allen had already found his mate about 3 months ago and they planned to marry in a month. I have yet to find my mate which makes me a little sad...

It was around twelve in the afternoon when we arrived, they expected us so we were offered to eat lunch with them.

I wasn't very hungry so i just sat and talked to alpha jones when all of a sudden i caught the most beautiful scent ever, it was a mix of coconut and vanilla.

("Mate") my wolf jasper whimpered in excitment

(Yeah but where?) I questioned searching the room but couldn't identify the person

"Can i gather all the females together?" I asked alpha jones

He shrugged before going back to his beer

"Every girl stand in front of me please" i said

At once every girl in the room stood in front of me, i walked uo to each of them individually and sniffed them recieving a weird look from each of them.

I growled there has to be another one "where are the other females?"

"What do you mean that is all the females" he said nervously

"Your lying, bring me to the other females" i shouted

In fear he stood up sweat beads coming down his forehead "ok alpha ryan follow me"

As we entered the basement as we came to a metal like cell door, from the outside i already smelt piss, shit,blood, and trash, it made me gag like crazy

(Why would anyone even be down here) thats when i smelt the delicious aroma again

Jasper whimpered ("shes gotta be in there")

He opened the door and what i saw made me sick to my stomach, i was mortified, there was blood and feces on the floor, trash overflowing a small trash can, a messy couch cousion that lay in the middle of the room a tattered old blanket barley covering the edge of it, then innoticed the chain attached to the wall and it led to alpha jones feet were i saw my mate...

She stared at the floor her head lowered whimpering, as though she was a puppy who just got into trouble

She had black hair, not sure what color her eyes were since it was covered by her hair but i could tell she was the most beautiful girl i have ever seen

It made me pissed to see her like that and i knew jasper was pissed as well because he was growling

"Alpha ryan this is lucy the blood suns mutt, lucy this is our guest alpha ryan" he said nudging lucy with his foot

She crawled over to me whimpering, she rubbed her face against my pant leg her face was so dirty, her hair was oily and tangled as though she hadn't taken a bath in so long, pain and tears were evident in her eyes

Jasper was pissed ("they have been treating mate like a dog")

It also pissed me off but i didn't want to scare her any more than she already was

"Have you been a good girl today lucy?" Alpha asked

Lucy nodded still not looking up from her position at my feet

"Why the hell do treat her like a dog" i growled

"W..what?" Alpha jones said

"Shes not a dog she is a human being" i shouted causing lucy to cower in the corner, curled into a tight shaking ball

"Well you see alpha ryan...you see um..." he tried making up an excuse to why he treated her this way, i punched him in the gut making him gasp

"Release her from the chains, right now" i growled

He quickly took out the key and unhooked her chains

"And the collar" i said angrily

He hurried and took the collar off and underneath it revealed her bruised neck from where it dug into her.

I walked over to her causing her to whimper in fear

"Its ok don't be afraid i am not gonna hurt you" i whisper feeling sorrow that she was treated so bad that she is afraid of her own mate

("I tried to talk to her wolf but i get no response, like she is gone") jasper whispered sadly

"Sweetie can you stand?" I asked and she flinched as i reached down to help her up, so i quickly retracted it and watched as she attempted to stand but her legs wobble so much she ended up back on the floor as though she doesn't ever walk on them

"When do you let her walk?" I growled scaring her once more and causing her to curl into a fedal position

Alpha jones glared at the floor

"Never unless she is chained up by her arms for punishment"

I grabbed him by the collar i tried to calm down so i don't scare lucy anymore

"Listen don't touch her ever again or we are going to have a problem" i threatened letting him go pushing him towards the stairs

"Who gives you the right to tell me what to do in my own territory" he growled in response

"Because shes my mate" i shouted before walking back over to my mate who was still curled up in the corner trying to shield herself from harm

"Hey i told you baby i am not gonna hurt you" i whispered "and neither is alpha jones as long as you stay with me"

She froze up as i scooped her into my arms, i carried her up stairs and to the dining hall i saw her eyes fill with wonder as though she had never seen this part of the pack house

"Why did you bring the bitch down from her kenel" kera the alphas oldest daughter sneered

I growled at her and she fell silent

I sat lucy down beside me and allen

She continued staring at the floor

"Hey what's wrong?" i whispered looking down at her

She shrugged sadly, i took her chin in my hand to look into her eyes, her dark brown eyes were terrified and looked like they held no life left in them,they sure were gorgeous though

She whimpered in return

I was mad they treated my mate like this now she wont talk and fears everything it made me sad that i cant have a conversation with her because all she does is whimper.
