Elio was relieved to see his home world once again as they went through a portal and ended up in the skies above Akala Island. "We're going to the lab down in Heahea City!" Elio shouted to the Ultra Recon Captain.

Phyco nodded and the group descended toward the building with a large satellite outside it. "Wow, this place looks almost unrecognizable to a few years ago." Selene mused.

"Sure does! Actually, since you were last here we also had the Tide Song Hotel open back up!" Elio told Selene. Elio had been hard at work with the Trial Captains and the newly instated Kahunas to bring Alola back to its former glory and Heahea City had been one of their most successful attempts at that.

The buildings were all mostly repaired, shops had reopened, people had moved back in, and even the hotels were reopening slowly, bringing in many tourists.

Lunala came to a stop as it hovered just above the paved road next to the satellite. Elio slid off and waited for everyone else to disembark.

The Dimensional Research Lab had taken lots of time to get back into operation but thanks to Selene and Nebby, they were able to do lots of research on Ultra Wormholes.

Elio led the group into the main lobby and everyone packed into the elevator. The doors went up and Elio relived the time Selene and he had gone up this very elevator in hopes of sending Selene home only to be ambushed.

The doors slid open and the lab was anything but orderly. Scientists were running around the room, checking computers and shouting things at each other.

Selene and Elio looked at each other and Elio shrugged. "Let's try and find Professor Burnet," Elio said to the group.

They walked past the laboratory and to the back office where a woman sat with her hands on her temples while she stared at the many papers on her desk.

"What does all of this mean?" She wondered. The woman had white hair and very tan skin with a grey tank top on. She looked up and jumped slightly. "Elio! I didn't see you come in!" She looked behind him. "And who are these new faces?"

Phyco and Zossie did their square wave in unison. "Greetings!" Phyco said. "We are the Ultra Recon Squad! I am Captain Phyco and this is Zossie!"

"Ultra Recon Squad? I've never heard of it." Professor Burnet said. "I'm sorry to say I don't have much time to chat right now."

Selene looked back over at the laboratory. "What's all the commotion about?"

"That's why I can't talk." Professor Burnet said. "Wormholes have been opening up all over the world and we've been getting some insane readings, even some that match Nebby's wavelength."

All the breath seemed to evaporate from Elio's lungs. "Wormholes? With Ultra Beasts?" He confirmed.

Professor Burnet nodded. "They've been attacking all day and since we're the only ones who have significantly researched them we need to find a solution to it."

Anger began to bubble up in Elio from his gut. "We can stop him." He said with a clenched jaw.

"That's actually why we're here," Selene added.

The Professor grinned. "Really? Well, how can I help then?"

Phyco stepped forward. "You said some of the portals had their Solgaleo's 'wavelength.' Can you track it down?"

Professor Burnet stood up and started looking for papers. "Not quite. We found that any creature who creates Ultra Wormholes creates them all with the same wavelength. That's at least what we thought but it sounds like you all haven't been with Nebby."

Elio shook his head. "Nebby was attacked and taken control of by a Pokémon known as Necrozma. It's using Nebby's powers to open portals and attack every realm so we need to track it down and stop it."

Professor Burnet's eyebrows went up. "Strange, I've never heard of a Pokémon that could just take control of another... well according to our machinery, Nebby opened a wormhole above the Hoenn region."

"Could I see the exact readings?" Phyco asked. Professor Burnet nodded and pulled out a paper which she handed to him. Phyco stared at it and began cross-referencing it with his device. "Aha!"

"Phyco did it!" Zossie sung.

"You found Nebby?" Selene asked eagerly.

Phyco shook his head. "Not quite. I have a map of Ultra Space that would show me where the portal would lead but I needed to know the exact coordinates of the wormhole, and with this I do."

"Then there's no time to waste." Elio cut in. "Let's move out. Thanks for your help, Professor." Elio said and he hurried out of the laboratory.

The group got back into the elevator and Elio began tapping his foot impatiently while waiting for the box to reach the ground. "Elio, what is the hurry?" Selene asked him.

"We have to stop Necrozma and get Nebby back, remember?" Elio snapped. The doors opened and he hurried outside. Come on, come on, come on!

He suddenly heard several screams from somewhere in the city and his heart sank when he peered around the wall to see a foreign creature standing down the road.

The creature was made of multiple grey stones and looked like a giant stone box standing on flimsy stone legs.

Occasionally a blue eye would open on part of the wall and Elio could see the same blue eyes on each brick making up the legs.

The rest of the group joined him and Rotom Dex wasted no time scanning it. "Uh, this is way not awesome guys! Zzt Zzt! I have no information on this dude!"

"That is a Stakataka!" Phyco spoke up.

Zossie gasped. "I've heard of these things before! They're made of a bunch of tiny brick Pokémon and form one super strong wall thing!"

The Stakataka slammed its legs on the ground and began tearing up the street. Rocks rained down from above and started pelting the homes around the Ultra Beast.

Elio wasn't sure how to process seeing the town he had worked so hard on restoring be destroyed right before his eyes at first but anger soon took over.

Elio reached for his belt and sent out Primarina. "We have to stop him right now before he's destroys everything! Use Sparkling Aria and quickly!"

Primarina summoned a ball of water and destroyed it with a high pitched scream. Pillars of water flew across the street and into its target.

Smoke erupted from the Stakataka but it let out a cry to assure Elio that it was nowhere near defeated. Boulders began to fly from the smoke cloud and towards Primarina.

"Incineroar smash the boulders!" Selene yelled from behind Elio. Her Incineroar leaped up and shattered rock after rock before landing. "Now use Darkest Lariat!" Incineroar started charging across the street towards the Ultra Beast.

Elio smiled at Selene. "Thanks, Selene! Primarina use Ice Beam and get Stakataka's attention!" Elio's ace fired three rays of ice that hit Stakataka and briefly froze it over.

"Incineroar if we can knock it down then this is over!" Selene called. "Give it your all!" Incineroar jumped up and swung its arm at the Stakataka. To Elio's surprise, Incineroar managed to knock the stone monster off of its legs and send it tumbling to the ground.

The Ultra Beast's legs squirmed for a bit but Elio was relieved to find it couldn't seem to get back up.

Elio looked around at all the damage that had been caused by just one attack. His home region was likely destroyed in dozens of different places.

"Let's go stop Necrozma now," Elio said, walking back to Lunala after returning Primarina.

Selene got to Lunala first and took the opportunity to remind everyone of the plan. "Remember, nobody is going to attack it. We're here to help Necrozma."

Elio could barely keep himself from shouting at her again. There was no way he was going to show an ounce of kindness to the Pokémon that had done this to his home region. After everything he had done to try and restore it to its former glory.

Lunala took off and went into Ultra Space yet again. "Lunala, I'm going to guide you to our destination. With any luck, Necrozma will still be roaming around the Wormhole since it's fairly long."

Lunala flew through Ultra Space and the wormhole soon fused with another. Lunala made a sharp turn and the unmistakable Necrozma-Controlled Nebby was flying not too far ahead of them.

"There he is!" Elio shouted.

Selene's blue eyes glimmered with hope. "Nebby... we're coming!"

Lunala sped up and came closer and closer to their target. Necrozma seemed to be completely oblivious as they approached.

Elio could practically reach out and touch it. He wanted so badly to get his revenge and make it pay. It had attacked HIS home. It had crossed a line in Elio's mind.

Anger swelled in Elio the more he thought about it and he suddenly shouted. "Stop running you scum!"

Necrozma suddenly turned around and Lunala was forced to come to a stop so that it didn't run into it. "Elio! What are you doing?" Phyco shouted.

"Necrozma!" Selene called to it. "I just want to talk to you!" Necrozma growled and began to glow.

Elio's eyes widened. "It's going to attack! Lunala move!" Lunala tried to get into the air but Necrozma sped forward and slammed into its right wing.

Selene and Zossie were thrown from Lunala's back while Elio and Phyco held on. "SELENE!" Elio shouted. He watched his friend be pulled away by a portal while Lunala began to spin and fall.

Elio looked ahead to see they were on a crash course for another portal. He looked back and Necrozma was watching him as he vanished into another realm.
