Selene

The girl ran as quickly as she could through the Ultra Space. She clutched the only Pokeball she had in her hand. The Pokeball had a blue wire-frame design and was black where there wasn't wire-frame, with four golden arches along the diagonal directions. In the center was a white button that would send out the Pokemon inside of it.

She leaped from island to island in the floating nightmare realm. She risked a glance back and saw the white and squid-like Pokemon still giving chase. Her feet were complaining after every time she landed, the distance between each island becoming increasingly larger.

Selene was mentally scolding herself for bringing only one Pokemon, she should've known better if she was going into such a dangerous place. But the girl refused to risk all of her friends getting lost in the never-ending Ultra Space.

She landed again, wincing as she forced herself up, this time the distance would be impossible for her to make, but she had to try. Nihilego was in no condition to battle another Ultra Beast so it was either jump or be killed.

What Selene regretted most out of all of her mistakes was that Nihilego barely had any time to say goodbye to its home. Selene had taken it back for one last goodbye since she felt bad about catching it and taking it from the home it loved. Although she wasn't sure her Pokemon had even liked this place with all the enemies that attacked the poor thing.

She got a running start and vaulted off the ground right before she ran off the island. The experienced seemed to happen in slow motion as she closed the distance, just a little more and the girl could make it. Selene turned her head back to see the Ultra Beast was coming at her full speed. There was no way she'd make it to the island before it killed her with its poisonous bombs.

Selene did the stupidest thing possible and pressed the button on her Beast Ball. Nihilego popped out, covered in bruises from their last fight.

"Use psychic!" Selene shouted, trying to balance the battle and not missing the island and not breaking her legs all at once. A bright blue glow surrounded the other Nihilego and threw it into the island she had previously been on. Selene returned her focus to the new island and right before she hit the ground she tucked into a roll, salvaging her feet.

"Great job Nihilego, sorry I had to call you out." Selene apologized, she held out the beast ball and it shot out a red light, which began sucking Nihilego back into the ball. Before it was sucked in Nihilego let out a pleasant cry to say it was OK.

Once Nihilego was safely in its Pokeball Selene turned to see where to go next. Much to her dismay there was nothing there but the darkness of Ultra Space. The enemy Nihilego was regaining its senses and roared angrily.

"Oh no..." Selene muttered, just as she thought she was doomed a bright light shone from behind her, she turned around to see a portal. She couldn't see exactly where it led but she made out the Malasada Shop, which meant her friends had found a way to open a portal. Eagerly she threw herself through it before the Nihilego could get her, then she passed out.
