A/N: Hey guys! Silvally here with the first chapter of my story! It's all about how Lydia meets her best friend! Enjoy and sorry if it's bad!

Lydia's POV

It was late at night and I was sitting on my bed in my room looking out the window. It was just another night not being allowed outside. I lost all hope of being able to go on a Pokémon journey, and I never snuck out in fear of being caught. It was a beautiful night with the alolan palm trees swaying and dancing in the wind. I missed my home back in Unova. Despite the nice weather here, I don't feel like I belong.  I miss home....and I felt like there was more to explore. Just when I thought I would never get the chance to leave, my mom yelled up the stairs "Lydia! Your father and I are going to Tessa's Dance Recital! Don't sneak out or get any ideas! Bye!" My mom closes the front door
behind her downstairs. Tessa is my annoying 12 year old younger sister. She is obsessed with dance, which I think is quite stupid. Another reason I never sneak out while I'm home alone is because of her, since she will tattle on me if I escape. But since she was gone, I could escape without getting caught. I knew what I had to do.....I had to go to Hau'oli city, which is not far from my house on Melemele island, to catch a ferry to Casteilia city in Unova. I snuck out my window and jumped down. I packed up everything I needed and started to head off until I heard a noise in the bushes. I slowly crept up to the bush and cautiously pushed the leaves out the way,only to find a mysterious Pokémon. It looked like an abomination of a ton of different Pokémon fused together,and it had a mask on its head. I've never seen anything like it. It looked scared and tried to attack me but it stopped when I flinched. "Shhhhh....it's ok...I'm here to help..." I whispered. It looked at me unsure, but eventually it held out it's paw and whimpered. I saw it had a thorn in it's paw, but it was way too big for me to pull out without hurting it. "I don't want to hurt you....I think it's best if I take you to the Pokémon center! They are great at helping Pokémon! I may not know what species you are,but I'll be sure to help you!" The Pokémon nodded and made a happy cry. I helped it crawl out of the bush and to my suprise, it sparkled. Realization hit me and I realized it was shiny! How Amazing! People must have been chasing after it trying to catch it, and it tripped and fell on the thorn. I helped it stand up, and held on to it while it limped, as we headed to The Pokémon center. "Hey even though your a gold color, I think it would be cool to call you Silver, don't you?" I asked. Silver cried happily, as we continued on.
