As we feel long pendulum swing

Emotions strong with words that sting

Policy paths are set aside

To swim in bath were sharp tongues chide

Insults are lobbed in endless streams

And we feel robbed of hopeful dreams

Hear fuzzy truths as voices rise

Leaves us to sleuth verbal disguise

And in the end, we cast our votes

We must transcend those bitter notes

Step in a booth and mark our choice

And speak our truth with fingers' voice
