Sometimes, you can know too much

Knowledge brings a painful punch

Thought and feelings tangled bunch

Panic sweeps from inner hunch

Long ago I took a course

Viral nightmares, scary force

Ignore danger? Feel remorse!

Mind is screaming 'til it's hoarse

Saw crisis two months ago

Prayed we'd never see the blow

Now it's here and heart feels woe

Now each day we fight this foe

Life will never be the same

Loss of life will be our shame

Lack of data will sound lame

Viral experts know the game

Experts often know the score

Learn to listen though a chore

Can prevent an illness war

If we listen; don't ignore
