Deep in the night

A window bright

Gives me a fright

What is that light?

My groggy head

From hours in bed

Takes up a thread

That leads to dread

I pull aside

A curtain wide

And what I spied

Leads mind to chide

No need to swoon

This night in June

For it's the moon

Feel like buffoon
