I've given up wheat

And sugar so sweet

It is quite a feat

To give up old treats

Grains not on food list

Potatoes I miss

No alcohol trysts

Did I hear you hiss?

To start was a grind

I've not lost my mind

Good health I will find

A body streamlined

I have lost much weight

While eating full plate

Fruit, vegetables great

Seeds, nuts, they will sate

I still can eat meat

But beans are a cheat

There's still much to eat

I still feel replete

Hunger does not drive

A late night food dive

My energy thrives

I feel more alive
