Booming fireworks

Startle me from sleep

Words pour from my mouth

Only fit to bleep

Sparkles in dark sky

Are awesome to see

But booms in my ears

My feet want to flee

Pick a silent show

One that's always free

Mother Nature's gift

Step outside and see

Arrives each year near

The fourth of July
