As the voices beat

Coaches jump from seat

As the voices run

Faces reveal stun

As the voices growl

My voice wants to howl

As the voices sway

My knees want to pray

As the voices peak

Love's salvation seek

As the voices pound

My soul swirls around

As the voices rise

Tears flow from my eyes

As the voices pour

I feel my hear soar

As the voices cruise

Singers are my muse

As the voices send

Words are quickly penned

What more can I say

The Voice makes my day!

Author's Note: For those of you not familiar with The Voice, the show gives singers (contestants) the chance to work with famous singers, polish their skills and compete for a recording contract. The Voice, inspired me to write lyrics and then poetry on a consistent basis. The words would flow from my pen each week as I listened to singers pour out their hearts in song. I am not connected to the show in any way. I am just a fan of the show.
