"What did you say?" he asked me with his signature smirk plastered across his face.

"I will win-"

"Let's be honest, everyone knows I am going to win," he says cutting me off midway, with his stupid smirk still planted on his face.

"Let's not, I don't want to hurt your feelings," I reply while smirking myself.

"Aww!! You care for me. As much as I care for you too sweetheart, but the word 'losing' is not in my dictionary."

"Where did you buy such an old, under graded dictionary? Wait, I know from a second hand shop right? Just suits your standard," I reply while smirking as he stares at me in shock.

"I am going to win," he replies, narrowing his eyes at me.

"This time you will lose, the tables have turned around. After all, things need to change with time," I answer him back, never breaking my eye contact.

"And how do you plan to do that sweetheart?" he asked me, closing the distance between us.

"That you will have to wait and watch."

"I would love to," he said moving towards me to cage me between his arms. But, I was too used to his regular tactics and easily moved away.

I smirk seeing his lost expression, "You call me sweetheart, I guess then, at times even sugar can taste sour."

"We'll see about that. The game is on," he said with determination shining through his eyes, before he turned around to leave.

"You are playing with fire that is bound to burn you and I will make sure it does because as you said the game is on. It has always been, between you and me," I say to myself as I watch the retreating figure of Hunter, Hunter Cross.
