Dipper's POV

Mabel and I were talking. We wanted to go monster hunting. Especially after Gideon almost killed us. I hate his guts. He ruined everything.

"So epic quest? I really want to go!!!" Mabel said, while clapping her hands.

"Yes! We deserve it!" I said like it was obvious.

"Yay, yay, yay!" Mabel exclaimed.

We both went downstairs. We told Grunkle Stan we were heading out for a couple of hours.

"Okay. Come before sundown!" he said.

We got some stuff. Mabel got the grappling hook. I took Journal #2, and a lantern. We headed out the door and went into the forest. I held onto Journal #2. Mabel was holding the lantern, we were walking side by side. We were talking about stuff. Laughing along an unknown trail.

"Hey I got a good one!" Mabel said,"When the new father asked his friend about the name he picked. Which was Dorito. The friend said: 'You can't name your son Dorito. One, because it's not even a human name, and that's stupid. Two, you can't really name him in the first place because he's nacho son!" she said. We both laughed.

"Why'd the chicken cross the road?" I asked.

"I dunno, to get to the other side?" she said.

"To get to the idiot's house. Knock knock," I said.

"Who's there?" she asked.

"THE CHICKEN!" I said. We laughed even harder than before.

"Dipping Sauce you are hilarious!" Mabel said.

We kept going on this trail, until we found a clearing. There was three paths. Everything was covered by trees and brush.

"Which way should we go?" I asked Mabel.

"To the left!" Mabel said loudly, while marching to the left pathway.

I followed close behind her. We were walking for like 29 minutes. We walked right into a cave.

The cave was filled with bones.

"Ewwww.... Bones...." I whispered silently.

"I know... What did this?" Mabel asked.

"I don't know... There's lots of things that do this...." I said.

There was a doorway. I didn't want to go in there. But, Mabel went forward. I didn't stop her. I went forward, too.

"Mabel I don't think we should be-" the door closing interrupted me.

"WAAHH!" Mabel and I said at the same time. My heart was beating out of my chest.

"Guess.... no..... going.... back..... now......." Mabel said, trying to catch her breath.

We kept walking. There was some light.

"We're.... getting to the surface!" I said. I started running to the light.

The light was immense. We kept running. I finally reached the surface, with Mabel panting behind me.
