(Y/n) and Alex wake up and see nothing but darkness. "Oh, my head!" Alex bumps his head on the top of the crate. "What the...? Wait. Where? What?" He feels around. "I'm in a box! Oh, no. No, no! Not the box! Oh, no, they can't transfer me. Not me!" Alex said. "Oh, I can't breathe. Can't breathe. Darkness creeping in. I can't breathe. I can't breathe. Walls closing in around me. So alone. So alone." (Y/n) said. "(Y/n)?" Alex asked. She looked around, but couldn't see him. "Alex?" She asked. "(Y/n), you there?" Alex asked. "I'm here." She said. "Alex! (Y/n), are you there?" Marty asked. "Marty?" (Y/n) and Alex asked. Marty is in another crate next to Alex. "Yeah! Talk to me, buddies." Marty said. "Oh, Marty! You're here!" (Y/n) said. "What's going on? Are you two okay?" Marty asked. "This doesn't look good, Marty." Alex said. "Alex, (Y/n), Marty, is that you?" Gloria lies in a large crate under (Y/n), Alex and Marty. "Gloria!" (Y/n) said. "You're here too!" Alex said. "I am loving the sound of your voice." Marty said. "What is going on?" Gloria asked. "We're all in crates." (Y/n) said. "Oh, no!" Melman is in a long crate next to Alex and Gloria, but he's upside down. "Sleeping just knocks me out." He said.

"Melman!" Gloria said. "Melman!" (Y/n) said. "Is that Melman?" Marty asked. "Are you okay?" Gloria asked. "Yeah. No, I'm fine." He yawns. "I often doze off while I'm getting an MRI." He said. "Melman, you're not getting an MRI." (Y/n) said. "CAT scan?" He asked. "No! No CAT scan. It's a transfer. It's a zoo transfer." Alex said. "Zoo transfer?! Oh, no. No, no, I can't be transferred. I have an appointment with Dr. Goldberg at 5:00." Melman said. Everyone tries to calm Melman down. "There are prescriptions that have to be filled. No other zoo can afford my medical care. And I am not going HMO." Melman said. "Take it easy, Melman. It's gonna be ok. We are going to be okizay." Marty said. "No Marty, we're not going to be okizay. Now, because of you, we're ruined!"Alex said.

"Because of me? I fail to see how this is my fault." Marty said. "You're kidding, right, Marty?" (Y/n) asked. "You. You ticked off the people. You bit the hand, Marty. You bit the hand." Alex said. "I don't know who I am. I don't know who I am. I gotta go find myself in the wild." Alex said mockingly. "Hey hey!" Marty said. "Guys." (Y/n) said warningly. "Oh please." Alex said. "I did not ask you to come after me, did I?" Marty asked. "He does have a point." Melman said. "What?" Alex asked. "I did say we should stay at the zoo, but you guys..." Melman said. "Melman, just shut it! You're the one that suggested this whole idea to happen in the first place!" Alex said. "Alex. Leave Melman out of this, please." Gloria said. "Thank you, Gloria. Besides, Alex, it's not my fault that we were transferred." Melman said. "Melman, shut it. Does anyone feel nauseous?" (Y/n) asked. "I feel nauseous." Melman said. "Melman, you always feel nauseous." (Y/n) said. Alex tries to open the box, but it's useless. "Guys!" (Y/n) said.

"I was the star in the greatest city on Earth." Alex said. "Guys, listen." (Y/n) said. "A king." Alex said. "Ok, look..." (Y/n) said. "Loved by my people." Alex said. "Let's just be civil." (Y/n) said. "And you've ruined everything!" Alex, out of anger, bumps Marty's crate. "Loved"? Marty asked. "Guys, guys." (Y/n) said. "If the people loved you, it's only because they didn't know the real you!" Marty shoves Alex's box harder. "Don't make me come up there. I'd get to woopin' on all of y'all." Gloria said. "Okay, mother." (Y/n) said sarcastically, and Alex snickers. "Excuse me?" Gloria asked. "I'd like to see you try, Gloria." (Y/n) said. "I thought I knew the real you!" Alex and Marty shove each other's boxes. "Your black-and-white stripes, they cancel each other out." The latch on the rope holding onto Marty's crate starts to break. "You're nothing!" Alex said.

"Stop it, stop it, stop it!" Melman said. "You're not helping the situation." Gloria said. The last hit causes Marty's box to fall off the pile. Due to the force, the chain breaks, causing the crates to float in the ocean. Inside Alex's crate, Alex tries to steady himself. "Guys?" Alex looks through a hole and sees his friends' boxes floating away. "Oh, no. (Y/n)! Gloria! Melman! Marty!" He said. "Alex!" (Y/n) shouted. "(Y/n)!" He shouted. "Alex!" (Y/n) shouted again. "(Y/n)!" The waves cause the boxes to float farther away from Alex until they disappear. "No, wait. Come back, (Y/n)! Don't go." Alex said. Alex was asleep until he felt a thud. His box started to roll, causing Alex to fall. The box crashes on an island and it opens. Alex rolls out and lands on the sand. As soon as he stops rolling, Alex opens his mouth, and sand comes out. Alex spits out the last of the sand until he saw that he was alone with a field of palm trees. Still holding his tongue, he calls out his friends' names. "(Y/n)? Marty? Melman? Gloria?" He looks around and panics. "(Y/n)?! Marty?! Melman?! Gloria?!" Alex runs around, avoiding the small waves. "(Y/n)?! Marty! Melman! Gloria! Hey, anyone! Hello!" He called.

It was morning and Alex spent all night trying to look for his friends. "(Y/n), Marty, Melman, Gloria. Gloria, Melman, Marty. Marty, Gelman, Gloria." Alex said. "(Y/n), Marty, Melman. Morty, Morty, Gelman. Regis. Kelly. Matt, Katie, Al." "Alex?" (Y/n) asked. He quickly looked around. "Alex!" (Y/n) said as she ran over. He smiled. "(Y/n)!" He said. He ran to her and they hugged. "Are you okay?" Alex asked. "I'm fine. You?" (Y/n) asked. "Fine now. Where's everyone else?" (Y/n) and Alex heard a distant call for help and see a tall box running around. "Get me out of this thing. Somebody. Hello?" (Y/n) and Alex jump over a wall of rocks. "Get me out of this thing right now! Hello? Somebody?" Melman asked. "Melman!" (Y/n) and Alex said. "Alex? (Y/n)? Is that you?" He asked. "Melman, I got you." Alex said. Melman stumbles in his box.

"Hang on! Hang on. I got you." Melman bounces on Alex's head, burying him in the sand. Alex digs away from the box, but he bumps himself before jumping out. "Melman!" Alex takes the boards off the top of the box. We got you, buddy." (Y/n) and Alex pull on Melman's antennas, putting him in pain. (Y/n) and Alex kept pulling, but Melman's body was still stuck. "Wait a sec, Melman. Wait right there." Alex runs back with a log. "Alex, what are you doing?" (Y/n) asked. "I'm getting him out of the box. Relax." Melman sees Alex sets the log to his bottom half. "Alex?" Melman asked. "Giraffe, corner pocket!" Alex makes a run for it while Melman tries to stop him. "Wait, wait, wait, wait." Melman said. "Alex!" (Y/n) said. "Wait, wait, wait, wait." Melman said. "Hold still!" Alex said. "Wait, Alex." (Y/n) said. "Hold still." Alex said. "No, come on." Melman said. "Here I come!" Alex said. "Look! Look! Look! Look!" Alex immediately stops, almost an inch from Melman. "It's Gloria. It's Gloria!" (Y/n), Melman and Alex see Gloria's box washed up on the sea. "Oh, hey, it is Gloria. Oh, my..." Melman fainted. "Gloria!" (Y/n) and Alex run over to her box and Alex knocks on it. Gloria kicks it open, throwing Alex to where Melman was, crashing into his box. "Gloria!" Alex steps on a piece of wood, hitting Melman's jaw and causing his legs to go up. Melman's legs fall back down on a board, hitting Alex.

Gloria comes out with seaweed hair, starfish bra, and crab underwear. "Alrighty, boys, fun's over." Gloria said. The starfishes and crab crawl away as Alex runs to her. (Y/n) snickered. "Perverts." She said. "Gloria!" Alex said. Gloria takes off the seaweed wig. "Alex! (Y/n)!" (Y/n) and Alex hug Gloria until they hear Marty. "Marty?!" (Y/n) asked. "Marty!" Alex said. They see Marty on the ocean riding two dolphins while surfing a wave as two other dolphins followed. "Yeah! All right! That's right! Left! Left! Left. No, no, your left! Your left! Your left! Right here's good." Marty gets off and the dolphins and speaks their language. "I don't have anything on me right now. I'll have to get you later." The dolphins said goodbye as Marty mimicked their sound. "To you too." Marty shakes himself dry. "Marty!" Marty turns around and sees Alex running to him. "Marty!"

"Alex!" They both run to each other in slow motion, looking happy to see each other. "Marty!" Alex said. "Alex!" Marty said. "Marty!" Alex said. "Al!" Marty said. "Marty!" Alex said. "Alex?" Marty asked. Alex's expression goes from happy to angry. "Uh oh." (Y/n) said. Marty runs away. "Oh, sugar, honey, ice tea." He said. (Y/n) tried her best not to laugh. He basically just swore. In regular speed, Alex chases Marty as he runs away. "Marty!" Alex said. "Hey! Hold up! Hold up!" Marty said. "I'm going to kill you! Come here! Don't run away from me!" Alex said. "Calm down! Calm down!" Marty said. "If you keep running, I'm going to just kill you more!" Alex said. Gloria and Melman intervene by wrapping themselves in a group hug, with (Y/n), Alex and Marty in the middle. Alex looking furious and Marty looking nervous. "Oh, look at us. We're all here together. Safe and sound." Gloria said. "Yeah, here we are. Where exactly is "here"?" Melman asked. Their eyes widened and they turn around to see a rustic scenery. Melman, with his long neck, takes a closer look. "San Diego." "San Diego?" (Y/n) asked. "White sandy beaches, cleverly simulated natural environment, wide-open enclosures. I'm telling you, this could be the San Diego Zoo. Complete with fake rocks." He kicks a rock. "Wow, that looks real." He said.

"San Diego? What could be worse than San Diego?" Alex asked. "I don't know. This place is crackalacking!" Marty said. "Oh, I could hang here. I could hang here." Marty said. Alex chases Marty again. "I'm gonna kill you, Marty!" Alex said. "Take it easy! Take it easy!" Marty said. "And then strangle you!" Alex said. "Calm down!" Marty said. "Then bury you, dig you up, clone you, and kill your clones." (Y/n) bursts into laughter from that.

Marty hides behind Gloria while Alex tries to grab him. "20-second timeout." Marty said. "And then, I'll never talk to you again." Gloria stops the fight by grabbing a hold of Alex. "Stop it! Look. We're just going to find the people, get checked in, and have this mess straightened out." She puts Alex down. "Oh, great. This is just great. San Diego. Now I'll have to compete with Shamu and his smug little grin. I can't top that. Can't top it. I'm ruined! I'm done. I'm out of the business. It's your fault, Marty! You've ruined me." Alex said. "Come on, Alex." He uses Gloria as a shield as he gets closer. "Do you honestly think I intended all of this to happen? You want me to say that I'm sorry? Is that what you want? OK, I'm..." Marty began. "Sh!" Alex said.

"He just shushed me." Marty said. "Marty, you've got to be just a little bit more und..." (Y/n) began, but Alex shushed her too. "Don't you shush me." (Y/n) said. "Do you hear that? Don't you hear that?" Alex asked. In the distance, music can be heard. They run into the jungle and follow the sound of the music. "I hear it now." Marty said. "Where there's music, there's people." Gloria said.

"We'll go right to the head honcho." Alex said. "A sidewalk would be nice." Melman said. "Yeah, what a dump." (Y/n) said. "They should call it the San Di-lame-o zoo! First they tell you, "Hey, we got this great open plan thing. Let animals run wild!" Alex said. Melman gets his neck stuck on a vine of flowers, but makes it out. "Next thing, flowers in your hair, everybody's hugging everybody." Alex said. "This place kind of grows on you. This way, guys! Come on! As they all follow Marty, Gloria accidentally hits Alex with a tree branch, leaving him behind. Alex clutches his nose and cries in pain.

As he tries to catch up, his foot hits a rock and he steps on a vine of thorns. "What the...?" He wasn't looking where he was going, so he runs into multiple spider webs. Everyone else was running to the music, but Alex tries to get the webs out of his mane. He stumbles on rocks and trees until he crashes into a tree and sees it's about to fall. "Oh, no!" (Y/n), Marty and the others made it to where the people were partying behind a curtain of palm leaves.

"OK, let's make a good impression on the people. Smiles, everyone. Let's get it together." (Y/n) sees Melman's smile. "Is that the best you can do?" She asked. "Oh, I'm not smiling. It's gas." Melman said. "Okay, well, great. Let's make gas look good." Gloria opens the curtains to reveal that they weren't people, they were partying animals, specifically lemurs. "It's not people. It's animals." Gloria said. "California animals. Dude." Melman said. "This is like a Puffy party." Marty said. Up on a tree is King Julien, the King of the Lemurs, who is in charge of the celebration.

KING JULIEN: I like to move it, move it
I like to move it, move it
Ya like to
LEMURS: Move it
KING JULIEN: I like to move it, move it
I like to move it, move it
I like to move it, move it
Ya like to
LEMURS: Move it

King Julien jumps off his tree into the crowd. Some catch him and lift him up.

KING JULIEN: I like to move it, move it
You like to move it, move it
She like to move it, move it
He like to
LEMURS: Move it

King Julien is thrown onto a rock stage with two lemurs dancing on each side.
KING JULIEN: All girls all over the world
Original King Julien!
What a girl's, man!
I love all them girls
I love to move them body!
When ya move your body
You know, move it nice
And sweet and sassy, all right

King Julien jumps on a vine as small fireworks go off. "What kind of zoo is this?" (Y/n) asked. "I just saw 26 blatant health code violations." Melman said. "I'm loving San Diego. This place is off the chizain." Marty said. "Twenty-seven." Melman added.

Meanwhile, King Julien joined everyone in the dance.

KING JULIEN: Woman, physically fit, physically fit
Physically, physically, physically fit
Woman, physically fit, physically fit

Marty was getting into the music and started to dance. "We should've brought chips and dip." He said. "Wait. Where's Alex?" (Y/n) asked. Gloria closed the curtains and brings Marty back in. "What happened to him? He was right behind us. Wasn't he?" (Y/n) asked. "I don't know where he's at, but he's missing one heck of a party." Marty said. All of a sudden, a random lemur came in running. "The fossa! The fossa! The fossa are attacking!

Run for your lives!" The lemurs scream and run as the fossa came. They see a small helpless lemur, Mort, and cornered him, ready to eat him. "Fossa hungry." The first one said. "Fossa eat." The second one said. Alex finally catches up as he got the last of the spider webs out of his mane. "I hate spider webs. Yeah, thanks a lot, guys. Thanks for waiting up. Really appreciate it." Alex opens the curtains to see the fossa making a salad out of Mort. "Hey, hi. We just got in from New York, and we're looking for a supervisor.

Because we've been sitting on that beach back there for hours, and nobody's even bothered to show up." The fossa looked at him in confusion. This gave Mort a chance to escape. "I don't know how things are... Yeah, I don't know how things are normally run around here," Behind him, everyone spots a large spider crawling on Alex's back. "But obviously there's been some sort of major screw-up, which is cool." (Y/n) slowly grabs a stick, getting ready to whack the spider.

"So if you could point us towards the administrative offices, we'll just uhh..." Alex looks at his shoulder and sees a spider smiling at him. "Well, howdy-do." Alex screams and flails his arms. And this scared the fossa away. The lemurs, including Mort, King Julien, and his servant, Maurice, watch as the fossa fled. "Spider! Spider! Spider on my back!" Alex said. "Maurice, did you see that?" King Julien asked. "He scared the fossa away." Maurice said." (Y/n) hit Alex with the stick as Gloria, Marty and Melman cheered her on. "Come on, (Y/n). Get it." Melman said. However, the spider wasn't on Alex anymore. "Get it! Get it! Get it!" The spider said. The lemurs watch as (Y/n) beat Alex up.

"That's it! Smack it!" Melman said. "Get it, get it!" The spider said. "Whip it! Whip it good! Where'd it go?" Melman asked. "King Julien, what are they? What are they?!" Mort asked. "They are aliens. Savage aliens from the savage future." King Julien said. "They've come to kill us. And take our women. And our precious metals." Maurice said. Everyone gasps. Mort cries on King Julien's feet. "Get up, Mort. Do not be near the king's feet, OK?" King Julien asked. "Shh!" Maurice said. "Shh! We're hiding. Be quiet, everyone. Including me. Shh! Who's making that noise? Oh, it's me again." King Julien said. "There it is! Get it! Come on (Y/n)!" Melman said. "Enough! Enough with the stick." Alex said. "I think she got it." Melman said. Everyone helps Alex back up. "Is it still on me? I hate spiders." Alex said. "It's OK. It's gone." (Y/n) said. "They are savages. Tonight we die." Mort grabs onto King Julien's feet.

"The feet." King Julien shakes Mort off. "I told you... I told you to... I told every... Didn't I tell him about the feet?" He asked. "He did tell you about the feet." Maurice said. Mort laughs. "Wait. I have a plan." King Julien said. "Really?" Maurice asked. "I have devised a cunning test to see whether these are savage killers." King Julien kicks Mort into the animals. They turn around and see Mort hugging his tail. "Hi there." Marty said. Alex clears his throat.

"You let me handle it. Alex handles it. Marty does nothing." As Alex walks closer to Mort, Mort shakes in fear. "Hi there." Mort sees Alex's large teeth and cries. "Oh, jeez. Sorry." Alex said. "Oh, Alex, what'd you do?" Melman asked. "No, no, no. Stop. Stop. It's OK. It's OK. I'm just a silly... Just a silly lion." Mort cries loudly. "Oh, jeez!" Alex said. The lemurs watch. Everyone pushes Alex away as (Y/n) walks over. "Aw, Alex!" Marty said. "Oh, you poor little baby. Did that big mean lion scare you?" (Y/n) asked. "Mm-hm." Mort said. "He did? He's a big, bad old puddy tat, isn't he?" Mort puts his arms up so she can pick him up. "Come on. Mama'll hold you. Aww, look at you." (Y/n) said.

"They are cute from a reasonable distance." Melman agreed. "Aren't you the sweetest little thing." (Y/n) said. "They are just a bunch of pansies." King Julien said. "I don't know. There's something about that guy with the crazy hair-do that I find suspicious." Maurice said. "Nonsense, Maurice. Come on, everybody. Let's go and meet the pansies!" Everyone comes out of hiding and cheer around the gang. Melman saw lanterns come down on either side and they hear a horn blown. They all look down and see Maurice blowing the horn. "Presenting your royal highness, our illustrious King Julien XIII, self-proclaimed lord of the lemurs, etc etc. Hooray, everybody." Large palm fans open to reveal King Julien dancing with fans in his paws. He walks down a path sending air kisses to the crowd. "He's got style." Marty said. King Julien jumps on a lemur as the other climbs on another lemur so that King Julien is at eye level with the larger animals. A tower of lemurs carried Maurice.

"What is he, like, king of the guinea pigs?" Alex asked. "I think it's a squirrel." (Y/n) said. "Welcome, giant pansies. Please feel free to bask in my glow." King Julien said. The lemurs under King Julien spin, making it look like King Julien was twirling. "Definitely a squirrel." Alex said. "Yep. Squirrel." Melman said. "We thank you with enormous gratitude for chasing away the fossa." King Julien said. "The "whossa"?" Gloria asked. "The fossa. They're always annoying us by trespassing, interrupting our parties, and ripping our limbs off." King Julien said.

"Yes, sounds good. Look, we're just... We're trying to find out where the people are, so..." Alex said. "Oh my. What big teeth you have. Man!" Maurice said. (Y/n) glared at Maurice. "Shame on you, Maurice! Can you not see that you have insulted the freak?" King Julien scolded. "You must tell me, who the heck are you?" King Julien asked. "I'm Alex. The Alex. And this is (Y/n), Gloria, Marty, and Melman." Alex said. "And where are you giants from, hmm?" King Julien asked. "We're from New York, and..." Alex said. "All hail the New York Giants!" King Julien said. "NEW YORK GIANTS!" The lemurs said. Alex gets the group into a huddle so that they can speak in private. "What are we doing, some sort of inbreeding program? I say we just ask these bozos where the people are." He said.

"Excuse me. We bozos have the people, of course." King Julien said from under Alex's legs. Alex jumps, startled. "Hey, the bozos have the people." Melman said. "Oh, well, great. Good. Phew." Alex said. "They're up there." King Julien points to some human skeletons hanging from parachutes snagged on the branches of a large tree. "Don't you love the people? Not a very lively bunch though." He said. "Oh. Wow. So do you have any live people?" Alex asked. "Uh, no. Only dead ones." King Julien said. "I mean, if we had a lot of live people here, it wouldn't be called the wild, would it?" Maurice asked. "The wild?" Marty asked. "Whoa. Hold up a second there, fuzzbucket. You mean, like, like the "live-in-a-mud-hut, wipe-yourself-with-a-leaf" type wild?" Alex asked. "Who wipes? Ha ha!" King Julien said. "Gross." (Y/n) shivered. "Oy vey." Gloria said. "Oy vey." King Julien said. "Oy vey, everybody!" Maurice said. "Oy vey!" The lemurs said. "Could you excuse me for a moment?" Alex asked.

Alex runs out of the jungle and gets back to the beach as (Y/n) runs after him. "Get me out of here! We got to get out of here!" Alex said. "Alex!" (Y/n) said. "Help!" Alex was about to jump in the water, but (Y/n) pulls him back. He struggles against her. "What are you doing?!" (Y/n) asked. "I'm swimming back to New York." Alex said. In the background, Marty celebrates. "I know my chances are slim, but I have to try!" Alex said. "You can't swim!" (Y/n) said. "I said my chances are slim!" Melman's head gets caught in a bush.

"Nature! It's all over me! Get it off! I can't see! I can't see!" Melman said. Gloria steps on a vine, taking the bush off of his head. "I can see!" Melman panics and puts his head in the sand. "OK look. There's obviously just been a little mistake. I'm sure the people didn't dump us here on purpose. As soon as they realize what happened, they'll come looking for us, right?" Gloria asked. "Yeah, right." Melman said. "I don't know the words. But we're born free." Marty said. "You know something? I bet they're already on their way." Gloria said. The sun sets and Melman writes a long will on the sand while in his grave, holding flowers with (Y/n), Alex and Gloria on each side.

"Well, since I'm doomed to die on this forsaken island, I, Melman Mankiewicz, being of sound mind and unsound body, have divided my estate equally among the three of you." A wave comes in and wipes off the bottom half of the will. "Sorry, Alex." Melman said. "Hey! A latrine. Nice work, Melman. Outdoor plumbing." Marty said. "No, it's not a latrine. It's a grave. You sent Melman to his grave. Are you happy?" Alex asked. "Aw, come on. This isn't the end. This is a whole new beginning. This could be the best that's ever happened to us!" Marty said. "No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. No. This is not the best thing that's ever happened to us." Alex walks away. "Yeah. You abused the power of the birthday wish and brought bad luck on all of us. Why'd you tell your wish? You're not supposed to do that." Melman said. "Wait a minute. I didn't want to tell you. Remember?"

Alex comes in carrying a piece of log. "You guys made me tell you." Marty said. "Oh, OK." Melman said. Alex drags the log to make a line between them and Marty. "Besides, this isn't bad luck. This is good luck. Look around. There's no fences, no schedules. This place is beautiful. Baby, we were born..." Marty said. Alex throws the log. "OK. OK. I've had enough of this. This is your side of the island, and this is our side of the island. That is the bad side, where you can prance and skip like a magical pixie horse and do whatever the heck you wanna do all day long. And this... This is the good side of the island for those who love New York and care about going home." He said. "Come on." Marty said. Marty tries to step over the line, but Alex always blocked him. "No, no. Back! Back!" Alex said. "You know what? This isn't good." Gloria said. "You think?" (Y/n) asked sarcastically. "OK! You all have your side, and I'll have mine. And if you need me, I'll be over here, on the fun side of the island, having a good old time." Marty said.

"This is the fun side, this is the fun side where we're gonna have a great time surviving until we go home." Alex said. "A yabbadabbado old time!" Marty said. "I love this side. This side's the best. That side stinks! You're on the Jersey side of this cesspool!" Alex shouted, and (Y/n) face palms "oh god... " she said. "Wilma!" Marty shot back. (Y/n) rolled her eyes. "These two fight like children." She said. "Well, now what do we do?" Melman asked. "Don't worry, Melman. I have a plan to get us rescued." Alex said. Alex uses a rock to hammer down a nail on a pile of wood. "Can't wait to see the look on Marty's face when he sees this." Alex sees Marty putting a pile of palm trees together. "Just look at him. He's helpless without us." Marty unties a rope and a boulder drops to make a hanging roof out of palm leaves with shells hanging around. Marty looks back at Alex with pride. Alex gets angry and looks over his shoulder.

"Shut up, Spalding." Spalding is a basketball with a handprint with a face and hay coming out from the top. In Melman's grave, Melman tries to make a fire by rubbing wood together. Gloria holds a large flower. "I've been standing here for hours, man. How long do I have to pose like this?" Alex ties the last knot to his tower. "She is finito." Gloria turns around and is shocked by what she sees. It's a replica of the Statue of Liberty. "I defy any rescue boat within a million miles to miss this baby. When the moment is right, we will ignite the beacon of liberty and be rescued from this awful nightmare!

What do you think? Pretty cool, huh? How's the liberty fire going, Melman?" Alex asked. "Great." He said. "Idiot." He mumbled to himself. "I heard that." Alex said. (Y/n) snickered, causing Alex to glare at her. Melman sighs. "Why can't we just borrow some of Marty's fire?" He asked. Alex looks over at Marty's side and is angered by how laid back Marty is with his shelter and fire. "That's wild fire. We're not using wild fire on Lady Liberty." Alex said. ""What's the difference?" (Y/n) asked, "Fire is fire." Alex rolls his eyes. "Now, rub, Melman." Alex said. "I've been doing... I can't. I can't. I can't do it. I ju... I can't do it!" All of a sudden, fire ignites. "Fire. Fire." (Y/n), Gloria and Alex are happy. Melman dances with the sticks. "Fire! Fire!" He said.

"Oh, my..." Melman realizes that the sticks were still attached and panics. "Fire!" He said. "Not yet! No, no! No!" Alex said. "Fire!" Melman runs passed the Statue of Liberty and accidentally sets it on fire. "Melman, hold still!" Alex said. "Jump! Alex, jump!" (Y/n) shouted. Alex jumps off. "Don't worry, cats always land on their..." Instead of his feet, he lands on his face. "Face? Man, what kind of cat are you?" Gloria asked, and (Y/n) snickers. Melman sets the fire out in the sand as everyone watches the statue burn. "You maniac! You burned it up! Darn you! Darn you all to heck!" Alex said. "Can we go to the fun side now?" Melman asked. In the jungle, the lemurs were having a meeting in the wrecked plane. There was commotion going on while Maurice was trying to get everyone in order before King Julien comes out.

"Everybody, calm down. Come on. Into your chairs. Yes. Everybody, please. Calm down. Let go of his tail. Separate those two, would you, please? You over here, you over there. Everyone... Shhh" Maurice presses the seat belt button to quiet everyone. "Calm down, people, OK? Now, presenting your royal highness, the illustrious blah, blah, blah. You know, et cetera, et cetera. Hooray. Let's go." He said. King Julien turns his chair around,

sitting on the skeleton of the pilot and using the arm as his cane. "Now, everybody, we all have great curiosity about our guests, the New York giants." An enthusiastic lemur raised his paw. "Yes, Willie?" He asked. "I like them." Willie said. "I like them. I like them. I like them first. Before I even met them I liked them." Mort said. "Yes, yes! Yes--" King Julien said. "I liked them right away. You hate them compared to how much I like them--" Mort went on. "Oh, shut up. You're so annoying!" King Julien snapped. Mort looked like he was about to cry, but only for a second. "Hee hee." Mort said.

"Now, for as long as we can remember, we have been attacked and eaten by the dreaded fossa." As soon as he said "fossa" everyone panics and hide. "The fossa! The fossa are attacking!" As a lemur jumps out the window, Willie showed everyone a cookbook that said To Serve Lemurs. "It's a cookbook! It's a cookbook!" Willie said. "Please. Maurice." King Julien said. Maurice repeatedly presses a button. "Shhh. Quiet! Come on, y'all. They're not attacking us this very instant." He said. Everyone sighs in relief. "So my genius plan is this: We will make the New York giants our friends and keep them close. Then, with Mr. Alex protecting us, we will be safe and never have to worry about the dreaded fossa ever again." Everyone cheers. "I thought of that. I thought of that. Yes. Me. I did." King Julien said.

"Hold on, everybody. Hold on. I'm just thinking now. I mean, does anyone wonder why the fossa were so scared of Mr. Alex? I mean, maybe we should be scared too. What if Mr. Alex is even worse than the fossa? I'm telling you, that dude just gives me the heebiedabajeebies." Maurice said. "Maurice, you did not raise your hand." He pokes his nose with the skeleton hand. "Therefore, your heinous comment will be stricken from the record." He points to a chameleon who licks off Maurice's words. "Does anyone else have the heebie-jeebies? No? Good. So shut up. When the New York giants wake up, we will make sure that they wake up in paradise." He laughs. "Now, who would like a cookie?" He asked. The lemurs cheer. Back on the beach, Alex sits alone while a big "HELP" sign made out of logs stand behind him.

(Y/n) sighs and walks over. "Alex?" She asked. "What, (Y/n)?" He asked. "I really think you should come over to the other side with us." (Y/n) said. "No, (Y/n). I'm not coming." He said. "Please? You'd have a good time. And everyone really misses you." She said. Alex turned to glare at her. "If you want to go and waste your time with those losers be my guest." He said. "Alex." (Y/n) scolded. "What? I'm sick of this, (Y/n).

I'm sick of Marty and his childish dream about the wild, I'm sick of being stranded out here with no humans whatsoever. I'm sick of not being able to perform on my rock. I hate it here!" Alex said. "Well maybe you wouldn't if you actually gave it a try." (Y/n) said. "Why? We're zoo animals, (Y/n)! Not wild animals! We don't belong here!" Alex snapped. "Well I highly doubt we all just came from the zoo to start with." (Y/n) said. "Whatever, (Y/n). Like I said, if you really want to waste your time with them go ahead. I'm done." Alex said. "Fine, I will." (Y/n) said. "Go then! I don't need you anyway!" Alex said. "Fine!" (Y/n) said. "Fine!" Alex said.

Time Skip

Marty disregards the line and crosses over to where Alex is. "Yo, Al. (Y/n), Melman and Gloria are over there having a good time. There's room on the fun side for one more." Marty said. "No, thanks." Alex said. "Look, I've been thinking. Maybe if you gave this place a chance, I don't know, you might even enjoy yourself." Marty said. "Marty, I'm tired. I'm hungry. I just want to go home." Alex said. "Could you just give it a chance? Think about it. It really isn't the fun side without you." Marty walks back to his side of the island as the "HELP" turns into a "HELL" sign.

Alex walks to Marty's hut. There was a sign saying "No Soliciting" on the door. He could hear everyone laughing and talking inside. He's thinking that he should go back, but knocks on the door. Everyone quiets down as they heard. "It's him." Melman said. "Who is it?" Marty asked. "It's the pizza man. Who the heck do you think it is?" Alex asked. "Yes? Can I help you?" Marty asked through the peephole. "Beg your pardon?" Marty asked. "You know, I've been kind of a jerk, Marty.

But I've been thinking about what you and (Y/n) said, and I'm sorry." Alex said. Marty unlocks the many locks on his door and opens it. "Welcome to Casa del Wild. Take a load off. Hey, hey, wipe your feet." Alex looks down and sees a welcome mat that says "Wild Sweet Wild." Alex walks in and is surprised by how beautiful Marty's place is. There was a bar, a fire pit, lanterns, and a lounge area where (Y/n), Gloria and Melman are sitting. "Alex!" Gloria said.

"Mi casa is su casa." Marty said. Alex saw (Y/n) look at him and then she looked away. He sighs and walks over. "(Y/n)." He said quietly. "Yes?" She asked. "I- I'm sorry. I didn't mean any of that. I just... I was just..." he said. (Y/n) smiled at him. "It's okay Alex, I understand that you're just a little homesick." She said. He smiles softly and she smile back. "Hey, have a drink. It's on the house." Marty said. Alex drinks, but spits out the drink, realizing its seawater. "This is seawater." He said. Marty spits his out. "Oh, you don't swallow it. It's just temporary till the plumbing's done." Marty said.

"Hey, y'all look hungry." Melman spits his water. "How would you like some of nature's goodness?" Marty asked. Gloria spits out her water. "You have food?" She asked. "The Fun Side Special, coming up. As Melman does another spit tank, Marty pulls a lever and a tray of seaweed on a stick comes down. "Seaweed on a stick." He said. "Seaweed?" Alex asked. "On a stick. Don't love it till you try it." Everyone cooks their seaweed on a stick over some fire. Alex hesitates eating Melman's was burned. Nevertheless, Melman blew out the fire and ate it. "That's unbelievable." Melman said. "So good." Gloria said. "Well, thanks. It does kind of hit the spot, doesn't it?" Alex coughs up the seaweed.

"Well, maybe it could use a little lemon." Marty added. "No, it's great. It's really great. Doesn't get any better than this." Alex said. (Y/n) chuckled. Everyone tosses their sticks in the fire. "Oh, but it does. Check this out." Marty pulls a lever and the ceiling opens to the night sky full of stars. "Wow. Would you look at that." Gloria said. "It's beautiful." (Y/n) said. "It's like billions and billions of helicopters." Alex said. A shooting star passes. "It's a shooting star. Make a wish. Quick!" Marty said. "Ooh! How about a thick, juicy steak?" Alex asked. "You know what, Alex? I promise you I'm going to find you a steak tomorrow if it kills me." Marty said. "Thanks, Marty." Alex said. "It is getting late. I guess I'm going to..." Melman snores and falls asleep. "I think I'm going to hit the sack too. Sweet dreams, everyone." Gloria said.

(ALEX'S DREAM)

Piles of steaks rain down from the sky. Alex couldn't keep his eyes off the falling steaks as they land around. He creates a steak angel and catches a big juicy steak. He looks at it and licks it until he heard Marty call his name.

(ALEX'S DREAM ENDS)

Alex wakes up from his dream and notices he's licking Marty. Everyone stares at him. "What are you doing?" Marty asked. "27, 28, 29, 30. Hmm 30. Thirty black and only 29 white. Looks like you're black with white stripes after all. Dilemma solved. Good night." Alex turns away as he pretends to sleep. What they didn't realize is that King Julien and Maurice were hiding in a tree, and saw the whole thing. "You see, Maurice,

Mr. Alex was grooming his friend. He is clearly a tender, loving thing. How can you have the heebie-jeebies for Mr. Alex? Look at him. He's so cute and plushy." King Julien said. "I don't think he was grooming him, Julien. Looked more like he was tasting him to me." Maurice said. "Suit yourself, no matter. I don't care. Soon we will put my excellent plan to action." King Julien said. All the other lemurs were hiding too. "All we have to do is wait until they are deep in their sleep...... How long is this going to take?!" King Julien asked. King Julien's shouting caused everyone to wake up.

They turn around but see nothing as the lemurs hide in the trees. (Y/n), Alex, Marty, Gloria, and Melman shrug it off and go back to sleep. In the morning, Alex is still asleep, but hears King Julien. He slowly opens his eyes. "Wake up, Mr. Alex. Wake up, Mr. Alex. Rise and shining. Wakey-waking, Mr. Alex!" He shakes him awake. "Wake up! Alex!" King Julien sees Alex sucking his thumb. "You suck your thumb?" He asked. They wake up screaming and see that the floor they were sleeping on was moved into a forest surrounded by the lemurs. The lemurs cheered as they wake up surprised.

"Where are we? What the heck is going on?" (Y/n) asked. "Where's the beach?" Marty asked. "What is this?" Alex asked. "Take it easy." King Julien said. "Who built a forest?" Maurice and King Julien are on the same bamboo stilts so they can be eye to eye with the larger animals. "Don't be alarmed, giant freaks. While you were asleep, we simply took you to our little corner of heaven. Welcome to Madagascar." King Julien said.

"Mada-who-ah?" Marty asked. "What?" Gloria asked. "No, not whooha. Ascar." King Julien said. They turn and are stunned. All of them walk into the beautiful field. The sun shines over the clear blue water surrounded by green plant. "Marty. It's..." Alex said. "Just like my mural back at the zoo." Marty said. "Oh, no, fella, that is the real deal right there." Gloria said. "Look at that, that's not a bad view." King Julien said. "I mean that's the thing that you were... always looking at, but it's actually there. I mean that's like the real version of..." (Y/n) said. "Hey! How about once around the park? Let's get our blood pumping, get those lungs breathing at all this fresh air. Who's with me?!" Marty asked. "Ah, naw. I really... I don't think I could... You're it!" He tags (Y/n) then runs away. "Hey!" She said playfully.

"Hey! Want to play around?" Marty asked. (Y/n) and Marty chase Alex into the field as they play. Everyone watches. (Y/n) trips Alex. "Got you there!" She said. "Come here!" Alex said. "You're it. Hey, stop that! Hey, you're crazy!" Marty said. "OK, Marty, I'm it. I'm it. I'm it. You win." Alex said. "Come on, Alex, get in the groove." Marty said. "I haven't eaten in two days. My blood sugar's real low. I just don't have the energy." Alex said. "I don't think that's your problem. First of all, that's not how you run in the wild."

Marty pushes Alex to the ground and uses his tail like a jack to get him on all fours. "Let's go. Put the rubber to the road! You have to let out that inner lion." He said. "Now, who's the cat?" Marty asked. "Marty, I really don't..." Alex said. "You are, that's who." Marty kicks Alex. "Come on! Here we go!" Alex runs on his paws. "That's it. Now let's build up some steam! You the cat." Marty said. "Who's the cat?" Alex asked. "You the cat." Marty said. "Who's the cat?" Alex asked. "You the cat." Marty said. "Who's the cat?" Alex asked. "You the cat." Marty said. "Who's the cat?" Alex asked. "You the cat." Marty runs ahead of (Y/n) and Alex as he builds up energy and speed.

"Who's the cat? Who's the cat? Who's the cat? Who's the cat? Who's the cat? Who's the cat? Who's the cat? Who's the cat?" Alex's blue eyes dilate as he feels his endorphins rushing. "I'm the cat!" He said. Alex runs so fast he passes Marty and stops him in the middle of his run, like in his dream. "Surprise!" Marty and (Y/n) crash into Alex, tumbling down until they stop. Now extremely energized, Alex does a flip in the air and tags Marty. "You're it. You're it! Can't juke the cat. Cat's too quick." (Y/n) get Marty back on their feet as Alex does flips.

"I feel like a mile-high pastrami on rye on the fly from the deli in the sky! Let's go wild!" Alex said. "Now you're talking!" (Y/n), Marty and Alex swing in on a vine, screaming like Tarzan. They land in the middle of a lemur party with fruit and music. "Man! I feel... different." Alex noogies (Y/n). "Noogie, noogie, noogie. Noogie, noogie, noogie!" "Ah, Alex! Stop!" She said playfully as Alex flips over to a waterfall where Gloria is pampered. "Kind of charged up or something." Alex said. "Marty! Marty! Marty! Like you said, baby, it's..." Alex grabs a fanning lemur.

"Crackalacking. Ain't that right, Melman?" Alex asked. Melman gets a massage from lemurs as Alex does an Irish jig on his neck. "Oh, yeah. Oh, yeah. I'm in heaven." Melman said. Maurice and King Julien are dancing. "You see, Maurice, Alex is now our friend and the fossas are nowhere to be seen. It could be said that my plan is working in a very good working kind of way." King Julien said. Alex flips to Marty where he's looking at a fruit bowl. "Alex. You got to try some of this." Marty shoves a whole pineapple in Alex's mouth, but Alex spits it into King Julien's arms. "I feel good. I feel like a king again. What about you (Y/n)? Feeling like a Queen?" He asked. After hearing this, King Julien throws the pineapple at Maurice. "King? Queen?" He asked. "You should see their act. Come on, guys, why don't you show him some of your act." Marty said. "Oh. No, I really don't think I could..." (Y/n) said. "Oh come on, (Y/n)!" Alex said. "Okay..." she said.
