KAREEM'S POV

"Still no word from her?"Jamila asked when she saw me looking at my phone for the nth time during supper.

I shook my head before shoving my phone back in my pocket.

"Give her time, it's not that easy of a decision to make."Jamila consoled but it did little to ease my worry.

It had been a week since I'd asked Diana to move in with me but she hadn't given me an answer back. Each time I tried to bring up the topic she quickly changed it. She also didn't let me visit her at her apartment anymore and our conversations over the phone were short and weird. I felt like she was pulling away from me because of the proposal I'd made. I didn't want to loose her just because she wasn't ready. I was willing to wait for her but she wasn't talking to me.

"I'll pass by her place tomorrow after church so we can finally talk about it. I don't care if she's banned me from going there, I have to see her."I declared shoveling some food into my mouth.

"It's going to be fine. Diana loves you, she'll make the best decision for the both of you."Jamila encouraged.

I just grunted an inaudible response not really in the mood to talk about it. I finished my food quickly, watched TV with Nuru for half an hour before I put her to bed.

"You know if Diana agrees to move in with you, we won't see you as much anymore."Jamila commented sadly.

I hadn't really thought about it like that. With Diana in my home I wouldn't be able to see my sister and Nuru every night and morning like I was used to.

"I live five minutes away, we'll see each other a lot. Maybe less than now but I think we're all ready for that change."I commented.

"Yeah you're right but you'll have to find a way to break it to Nuru, you know how attached she is to you."Jamila reminded me.

"I know and I will. I'll still take her to school everyday, that won't change. Story time days will definitely reduce but I'll try and do it from time to time. She's also growing up and won't need me as much anymore. This is all if Diana says yes."I concluded with a frown.

"She will."

"You guys talk more often now, has she said anything to you?"I asked Jamila.

"No, sorry."She replied with a shrug.

"It's fine. Goodnight siz, I'll see you tomorrow morning when I pick you guys up for church. Don't be late like last time, you know I hate sitting at the back."I scolded Jamila.

"Yeah I know sorry, won't happen again. We'll be on time."She assured me.

"Great."I replied before grabbing my jacket and keys.

I left the apartment and got into my car heading to my place. It was a short drive since I lived very close to them. When I arrived I immediately noticed that something was off, there were too many cars parked outside my apartment. I had neighbors yes but only two of them had cars. Maybe there was a party in one of my neighbors home. I shrugged it off and hoped they wouldn't make too much noise. I was in need of a good night's sleep and loud music would just piss me off.

The lights to my place were on which was weird since I made sure to switch them all off when I left each morning. But I had also been preoccupied a lot lately so I probably forgot. I opened the garage doors and parked the hellcat next to the GTO making sure the garage door was closed securely behind me.

When I walked out of my makeshift garage and into my apartment space I noticed that everything around me was different. I almost questioned whether I was in the right apartment but the GTO proved that I was in my home though nothing was the same as it had been in the morning.

It was a lot more colorful than the normal greys and blacks and there was more furniture than usual. I started noticing that most of the new stuff in my apartment was familiar. Before I could question anymore, Diana walked down the stairs from the top floor where my bedroom was looking sexy as hell in a yellow romper.

"Surprise."She grinned sashaying towards me.

It took a few moments for me to connect the dots and understand what seeing her and all the new stuff in my apartment meant. I took long strides towards her and picked her up before her feet could touch the last step. Diana laughed her hands wrapped around my neck as I twirled her around.

"I love you."I declared setting her down to kiss the breath out of her.

"I hope you don't mind, I made myself at home."Diana said blinking up at me her lips swollen from our kiss.

"I don't mind at all, mi casa es su casa."I replied pulling her into my arms for a giant hug unable to stop the face splitting grin I had on.

"Guys you can come out now."Diana announced pulling away from me.

I was surprised to see her family walking out of different parts of the apartment. Everyone was there, her parents, siblings, Salome and Oliver. I had no idea where they had all hidden seeing as my apartment was a very huge open space but they had made it work.

"Do you want to do it or shall I?"Ashton asked his dad before I even had the chance to say hello to them.

"You do it."Harold replied.

"Kareem man, this is not personal."Ashton apologized.

Before I could ask what he was talking about, he punched me hard in the stomach making me double over in pain.

"Ashton what the hell!"Diana exclaimed rushing to my side.

It had been a long time since I'd been hit and I had to admit that Ashton packed a mean punch. I straighted up holding my arm over my stomach protectively.

"Did that hurt?"Ashton asked ignoring Diana's cry.

"Like a bitch, so you wanna tell me what I did to deserve it?"I asked him.

"Good, I'm glad it hurt. Never forget that pain you've just felt because if you ever hurt Diana it will be a thousand times worse. I won't, sorry let me fix that, we won't stop at one punch and by the time we'll be done with you, your sister will be scraping pieces of you off the concrete. We helped Diana move in today because we needed you to see that she is not alone. She has a family that loves her and has her back. You're a good guy Kareem so it would be a shame to disfigure that pretty boy face of yours. Treat my sister like the queen that she is and we won't have a problem. You understand?"Ashton demanded and I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little bit afraid of his threats.

"Yes I do. I'd never do anything to intentionally hurt Diana, she's my world. Thank you all for trusting me enough to put her in my care. I promise to treasure and love her."I promised addressing all of them.

My stomach still hurt but I ignored the pain and turned to face Diana taking her face into my hands.

"Baby I'm making you this promise in front of your whole family on the day they've entrusted your care to me. I promise to take care of you, listen to you, love you, cherish you and honor you. Thank you for trusting me to take care of you. I love you so much plus I don't think I can take another punch from Ashton let alone the rest of your brothers and dad. I actually like my pretty boy face."I chided making everyone laugh.

"I like you pretty boy face too. I love you Kareem and I can't wait to start this next phase of our lives together."Diana replied leaning up on her tiptoes to peck my lips softly.

I wanted to deepen the kiss but I reminded myself that her whole family was there watching so I had to behave myself. I reluctantly pulled away from Diana and turned towards her family. I held my hand out to Ashton who looked at it skeptically before he smiled and shook my hand pulling me into a bro hug. I did the same with the rest of her brothers and her dad.

"Please take care of my baby."Edith pleaded holding back tears when I got to her.

When I'd asked Diana to move in with me, I had no idea that I would be affecting so many lives in the process. But it was nice to know that she had that many people caring about her.

"I will, I promise."I assured Edith who pulled me into a hug showering me with motherly love.

"You do know that I own a set of very sharp knives that can cut through bone and an oven that can fit a human body right?"Salome asked when I faced her.

My eyes widened in alarm when her words registered in my mind. Diana's family sure was filled with some twisted people but I had to remind myself that all their threats came from a place of love.

"Yes but unlucky for you, you'll never use them on me."I retorted.

"Good, I'm glad we could come to an agreement."Salome replied smiling at me.

I was lucky that Oliver still couldn't form a complete sentence otherwise he would have threatened me too. Though I could have sworn I saw him glaring at me.

"Okay guys time to go, let's leave these two lovebirds alone so that they can enjoy their first night of living together."Edith declared as she started handing everyone their belongings.

The guys were reluctant to leave but Edith put on a mean face that had everyone scrambling outside to leave. I stood by Diana's side as she hugged her family goodbye thanking them for helping her move and for their support.

"If he does anything at all that you don't like call me."Ashton whispered in her ear as they hugged goodbye but he was loud enough for me to hear.

"I still have half a mind to kick your ass for hitting him but you're lucky I love you and no I will not be calling you. I'm a big girl now so I can handle myself."Diana replied.

Ashton didn't look pleased with her answer but Edith pulled him away by his ear before he could protest.

"Ow ow ow, mom stop. I'm coming."Ashton whined making Diana and I laugh.

We stood outside as they all left until Diana and I were finally alone. I pulled her back into the house and locked the door behind us. I turned her around and trapped her against the door with my body, my hands on either side of her head.

"Alone at last. What do we do now?"I asked her my voice lowering a few octaves.

She swallowed hard and I knew she could feel the electricity between us but she was trying to fight it.

"Help me unpack the rest of my stuff."She mumbled staring at my lips.

"Is that what you really want?"I whispered lowering my head to kiss the corner of her mouth barely touching her lips.

"No... I mean yes."Diana stuttered her breath hitching slightly.

All you could hear were our rugged breaths as our bodies reacted to each other and our rapidly beating hearts.

"I'm so happy you said yes and are here with me. I want to show you how much I like having you here by worshipping you all night long."I declared kissing her neck.

"So what will it be cupcake? Do you want me to help you unpack or do you want me inside of you making you scream my name all night?"I asked Diana pulling away to look into her eyes.

I was painfully hard and the wanton look in her eyes showed that she wanted me too. Instead of replying with words, Diana launched herself at me, meeting my lips with hers in a fervent kiss.

I kissed her back harder my hands going around her thighs to hoist her up so she could wrap her legs around my waist.

"Good decision cupcake."I mumbled in between kisses.

I moved away from the door and carried Diana up the loft to my bed, correction, our bed laying her down carefully on the cool sheets. I leaned up on my elbows and took my time to admire her and appreciate the beauty lying under me. Diana was a naturally gorgeous beauty and she was all mine. I could now have her in my bed every night for the rest of our lives if I played my cards right. She had no idea but now that she had moved in there's no way I was letting her leave ever again.

"I've never been threatened so many times in my life in such different ways but getting to see you like this at the end makes it all so worth it."I said kissing Diana's nose.

"I was really scared at first even when I started planning it all and honestly I'm still scared but I love you and I can't wait to begin this journey with you."Diana replied.

"Cupcake, it started the minute your family walked out the door."I replied before kissing her deeply.

Diana threaded her fingers in my long curly hair and tugged making me groan. I slowly sat up with her still in my arms and pulled my shirt over my head separating our lips for just a moment before they were attached back together. I tossed my shirt aside but I must have flung it too hard because it knocked something over. Diana and I pulled apart to look at the mess I'd made. I'd knocked over a box with some of Diana's stuff. I was going to ignore it and get back to kissing my girlfriend but a pink object peeking out from under a box of pads caught my attention.

By the time Diana noticed what I'd seen, it was too late and I had jumped out of bed to reach for it.

"Kareem no! Put it back."Diana demanded jumping out of bed and trying to take it away from me.

I was a foot taller than her so I had no idea why she was even trying.

"You naughty, naughty girl. What is this?"I teased holding the pink vibrator in my hand out of her reach.

"You have eyes, you can see what it is. Now give it back Kareem."She demanded jumping up to reach for it but I was too tall.

"Is this yours?"I asked in disbelief.

Who knew that sweet nerdy Diana had such a naughty side to her?

"Yeah, so?!"She retorted giving up on reaching for it.

Diana pouted and crossed her arms usher her chest.

"So this is very unexpected."I replied turning it on.

It vibrated in my hand causing a tingling sensation.

"Please stop and give it back."Diana requested looking mortified.

"How often do you use it?"I asked switching it on and off in a sequence.

"Anytime I need to, now please stop, you'll damage it."Diana pleaded.

"Have you ever used it while thinking about me?"I asked my tone getting husky and serious.

Diana blushed looking at her feet and I knew I'd hit the jackpot.

"Strip."I demanded.

An unquenchable thirst began to form in me when I imagined the many games Diana and I could play with her little toy.

"What?!"Diana breathed out matching the look on my face.

"Don't make me repeat myself a third time cupcake, strip now."I replied.

The tone of my voice didn't allow any more room for defiance so Diana did exactly as I'd asked. She took off her romper leaving her in a red floral crop top lace lingerie set.

"You look divine baby but those have to go too."I said running my eyes over her body hungrily.

Diana didn't even question me, just stripped completely leaving herself naked for me to feast my eyes on.

"Get on the bed."I instructed.

Diana walked backwards and when the back of her legs hit the frame of the bed she sat on it before lying back and pulling herself to the middle of the bed. The whole time, her eyes never left mine. I stripped naked too before joining her on the bed hovering over her making sure not to crush her with my weight.

"Do you trust me?"I asked her looking into her brown orbs.

"Undoubtedly."She replied without hesitation.

"Good."I said leaning in to kiss her as I turned the vibrator on.

Diana's gasped when I trailed it along her naked thigh, her breathing getting heavier as I neared the apex between her legs.

"To the rest of our lives baby, I love you."I declared before I reached my destination making Diana scream in pleasure.

It's just like I had promised her, I spent the rest of the night showing her just how grateful I was that she had said yes. With the help of her little pink vibrating friend Diana and I had an amazing night together enjoying the first of many nights to come.
