Evina stared out the balcony window, the cracked doors allowing a warm breeze to cause the crimson curtains to flicker and flare. Her wings hung at her back and they neither glowed, nor filled with Fairy Dust in her sadness and melancholy.

A knock on the door pulled Evina out of her thoughts and tore her eyes away from the window.

"Evina?" Pimret murmured.

"I don't mean to be rude, Pim, but I'm not really in the mood for antics right now." Feeling tears burning her eyes, Evina's gaze shifted back to the balcony that overlooked a bustling Kypha below. A crowd of protesters had already gathered, demading to know why the Magi were in terrible states after two tasks had come out with a harsher outcome than intended.

"I'm not here for antics, dear Evina." Pimret planted himself at the corner of her bed and Evina soon joined him, staring at her bare feet. "Do you want to talk about it?" For once, Pimret's voice was void of sarcasm and the lighthearted, joking tone it always took.

Tears escaped from the prison within Evina's eyes and she couldn't help but sob. "Oh, Pimret! Several Magi are in terrible condition. We still don't know what's happening to Alastair and that... That being he encountered. Kyren - Kyren flatlined and the healers aren't sure if they can keep him alive. Other members from other guilds have been... left in terrible states from their fears; Eskander from Guild Valkyrie, Eris from Silent Pheonix... One of the members of Iscariot Sin was badly injured and we don't know how. It's - It's a disaster and Pim, oh Pim - it's all my fault!"

Pimret opened his arms just as Evina fell into them, sobbing and hiccuping harshly. "No, Evina, no... You couldn't know that Kyren or Eris' pasts were far deeper than we could have imagined. We cut off the feed before Eskander's fears were, well, televised. Mostly. It wasn't as if we knew anything about him either. The spells were only supposed to make them imagine their worst fears, but for some people - " Pimret paused with a sigh as Evina sat up, wiping her eyes. "Some people have deep fears that they have never dealt with and that can cause them to be locked within their own minds, trapped inside the fear with or without a spell. It is not our doing."

Evina nodded her head with a sniffle. "Pimret, I - I want to change up the battle challenge a bit."

Pimret cocked his head. "How so?"

"Well, I don't think the mirrors should copy images of themselves, their friends, or their enemies. Let's just put them in a room full of normal mirrors in two-on-two battles with the Magi picked from the crowd favorites. They have been through enough."

Pimret nodded as he stood up, holding out his hand for her. "Shall we?"

Evina slid her hand into his, interlacing their fingers. "Wait, you should go," Evina said suddenly. "I'll stay here."

Pimret clenched her fingers, not letting her go. "Oh, no you don't. You're coming with me."

"But people are already protesting. They hate me Pimret!" Evina argued.

With a mischievous grin, Pimret shook his head. "Nonsense! They love us; some people will take any excuse for a public protest!"

Welcome, everyone to Battle Task 3: Mirror, Mirror

This battle will be a paired battle - you and a teammate fighting against two other Magi from another guild. It will take place inside a room of mirrors surrounding all of you on all sides. The mirrors reflect your opponents and yourselves perfectly, creating a maze of reflections that make it somewhat difficult to navigate, however, it's all light fun - nothing too serious. The Gamemakers have become quite upset that some of their challenges have caused too many... uh, problems *ahem*

Below are the list of paired writers:

ariel_paiment1 versus Several7s

wordsmith- versus Sara_R_Stark

MusicgirlXD versus D-Willy45

These two writers have immunity:

JesterheadJohnSnow

Katie3887750

Remember that you both can choose to battle against me (since Black Dragon has no one to Battle against) or each other. Or you can hand in a mini task only consisting of guild interactions and mentioning that the Gamemakers gave your guild immunity, or you can choose not to write anything at all and take a break. The choice is up to you, just let me know what you decide, either here in the comments or PM.

ariel_paiment1 and wordsmith- remember that you can choose one item for me to ignore in the grading rubirc, so please tell me that at the beginning of your entries when you hand in.

wordsmith-, MusicgirlXD, and me, remember if you lose that you can earn up to 5 POINTS, but how many between 1 and 5 depends on your writing score.

wordsmith, JesterheadJohnSnow, Several7s, Katie387750, jesusfreak202, remember that you have an extra 2 days deadline (which is mentioned below).

ariel_paiment1, MusicgirlXD, Katie387750 don't forget to PM me for hints/questions about two tasks of your choice.

ariel_paiment1, Several7s, MusicgirlXD, remember that you guys have an extra 500 words for the battle itself and you can design the arena however you like as long as it makes sense magically (rather than the mirrors) but feel free to use the mirrors if you want.

JesterheadJohnSnow and Katie, remember that you both won immunity but you have many options to choose from - see what's mentioned above and please either COMMENT or PM ME to LET ME KNOW WHAT YOU CHOOSE.

wordsmith-, even if you lost this battle, you win an extra 10 points on top of the number between 1 and 5 points you will receive based on your writing from an award you won.

All of you know how this goes by now. Be realistic to the magic, DONT MAKE IT TOO EASY FOR YOUR CHARACTERS TO WIN. I get so annoyed with that - make it realistic! I'll also make note of who hands in sooner but that won't necesarily reflect in my decision of the winner.

Word count:

Minimum of 400. Maximum of 500 (unless you have an award that states otherwise - Ariel, Several7s, MusicgirlXD - 500 extra).

If you wish to include a before or after scene you have an extra 1,000 words to split between them. Remember to keep the word count for each one separate, so don't use 1500 words for your battle. 500 for the battle only and 1,000 for before and after scenes only, unless your award states otherwise!

Due date:

June 25th, Monday 6pm central.

wordsmith, JesterheadJohnSnow, Several7s, Katie387750, jesusfreak202, we all have until June 27th, Wednesday 6pm central to hand in.

Anyone who hands in before June 22 (which is my Mom's birthday!), will receive an extra 2 points. Before June 23rd is 1.5 points, before June 24th is 1 point, and anything after that is nothing, other than the main deadline. Anything before June 22 is 2.5 points added. (Yes, I'm doing this just for fun but remember it's optional).

Anyone want some tiebreakers? Me too.

Kiss - anyone who includes a man/woman couple kissing will receive an extra 0.5 points.

Opposite moods - anyone who makes a character be in a mood completely opposite of their normal personality with something that makes sense will receive an extra 12 hour deadline extension for the deadline perk points.

Black Dragon - anyone who includes a scene with Black Dragon will receive an extra 2 points onto their rankings - but they must be characterized write and it cannot be brief - as in one glimpse of a black dragon member and nothing else! Lol.

Disney songs - anyone who includes a Disney song in their entry indirectly will receive an extra 1 point onto their Task 4 score - DONT LET ME FORGET THIS ONE LOL.

Good luck. Let me know if I forgot anything or anyone - I hope not, but I usually do LOL.

Time for Battle!
