Appearance -- Ginger classic tabby with green eyes and long whiskers
Backstory -- He was born to Rosestripe and Owltail in early Greenleaf, without any siblings. Two days after his birth, his mother contracted a bad sickness from an ill crow, and died a week later. Tawnykit, eyes just peeking open, was given to another queen - Cloudfeather. She had recently given birth to her own three kits, and was happy to take him in, as she and Rosestripe had been close friends. Owltail soon disconnected from his son, as Tawnykit only brought back memories of Rosestripe. Cloudfeather raised Tawnykit to know her as his mother and her mate, Nightfur, as his father. His three siblings - Havenkit, Crowkit, and Mothkit - opened their eyes after him. Tawnykit was already trying to escape the nest and get outside when they first began to crawl. Nightfur and Owltail, however, often glared at one another with hatred in their eyes. Tawnykit was always confused by this, though Cloudfeather just told him it was because Owltail had wanted kits as well. At Tawnykit's third moon, he still didn't know that Owltail was his true father. Fast-forward to his sixth moon, in mid-Leafbare, he's apprenticed a week before his siblings. Owltail is the mentor to Tawnypaw, as the leader - Fennelstar - wants the two to grow closer together. On Tawnypaw's first day out as an apprentice, Owltail takes him into a secluded hollow and informs him that Nightfur and Cloudfeather aren't his real parents. Tawnypaw takes this in a surprisingly calm way, stating he always knew something wasn't right, as neither of his 'parents' were ginger or tabby. Owltail is happy with this, and brings him back to camp, telling him to keep quiet about their kinship. Tawnypaw's adoptive siblings are apprenticed, and he goes with them on their first look of the territory. Mothpaw and Crowpaw run ahead and nearly run over the border, but their mentors stop them in time, teaching them a strong lesson about how fierce RiverClan can be, which makes Mothpaw yowl across the border, saying "Fish-faces, come out and fight us!". Havenpaw stiffens and tries to hide, while Crowpaw unsheathes his claws. They quickly return to camp, Mothpaw and Crowpaw being sent to clean out the Elders' Den. Fast-forward two moons, and the season is beginning to warm up. Havenpaw has switched to being medicine cat apprentice, as fighting just isn't for her. Mothpaw and Crowpaw have grown distant from Tawnypaw, caught up in their own games and training.
