Cindy didn't go to school at the age of 4 to 6 years-old (unlike most children in her area) because none of the local schools wanted to accept Cindy, because she had no money and was orphaned at that time. But she still tried to look for ways so she could study at that time.

When she was 5, she met Mallow and studied with him.

Finally when she was 7 years-old, Cindy was able to go to school. But, she was bullied because she didn't have a mermaid tail like the other children.
