"Why, Bhai??" Virat said whinily.

"It's not safe, Cheeku, that's why." Mahi Bhai replied from other side on phone.

"I'll come by chartered plane and follow all the covid norms and wear mask and won't touch anything and will sanitise myself properly." Virat said in the whiniest voice possible. "Please, let me come."

"No, Cheeku, you're not gonna travel in current situation." Mahi Bhai said sternly.

"But it's your birthday.. "

"Cheeku.. "

"And it's been over an year we met.. "

"We will.. "

"And I can't wait till IPL happens.. "

"You.. "

"And I want to wish you in person.. "

Mahi sighed. "Okay, I'm not saying anything. You continue and tell me when it ends then.. "

"Then I can come?" Virat asked hopefully.

"No!" Mahi Bhai said hastily. "My answer will be the same even after two hours of repetition of your ranting."

"Okay then." Virat was crestfallen.

"Kiddo, it's just my birthday, you know it's not safe to travel right now." Mahi Bhai explained hopefully.

"It's not special for you but it's very special for me, Bhai." Virat said grumpily.

"I know, Bacha, but it's okay if we aren't together this time. We will be meeting during IPL anyway." Mahi Bhai said as he wondered how even after years of experience he feels the same emotion every time he has to explain to a stubborn and gloomy Cheeku. His 32-years old, not so grown up kid!

"You always say that but somehow we never get much time during IPL and this year, it's worse." Virat said as recalled that they will be staying in bio bubble and CSK's last match is with their team. How very unfair it is! And even more cruel that MI will be playing opening match against CSK! Virat thought gloomily.

"Cheeku, I know my kiddo loves me a lot and you not wishing me in person won't be making any difference, bacha. Your wish was and will always be the most special to me." Mahi Bhai said lovingly while he had a wild imagination of Harry and Rohit overhearing this.

"I'll send this recording to our group, Mahi Bhai!" Virat exclaimed excitedly with a smirk.

"You will not!" Mahi Bhai said sternly.

"I think someone is calling me. Bye, Mahi Bhai!" Virat quickly hung up smirking.

Mahi shook his head fondly. How did he end up with Cheeku at the top of list of his kids? Not that he's complaining, that was the best thing that ever happened, wasn't it?!

Jinks - We know that you kept him on phone till 12:30 so that he couldn't recieve our calls!

Kul - So we know that you wished Bhai first!

Rohit - So we want to kill you for doing this pretence now! 😑

"He could still let me visit him!" Virat complained to himself for the umpteenth time in the day as he scrolled through his phone.

Suddenly, something caught his eye.

Hardik Pandya and Krunal Pandya visit Ranchi to join the birthday celebration of MS Dhoni!

Virat's jaw dropped.

"What?"

"When?"

"How?"

Virat immediately dialed Mahi Bhai's number.

Mahi didn't answer.

Virat called Hardik.

Hardik didn't answer.

Virat called Krunal.

Krunal didn't answer.

"Good. Very good. Don't even answer my calls now." Virat said indignantly.

Virat called Sakshi.

"Virat?" Sakshi answered.

"Thank god at least you picked up, Bhabhi!" Virat said in annoyed tone. "Bhabhi, Hardik and Krunal are really there?" He asked hoping against the hope.

"Yes, Virat. They came just few hours back." Sakshi said looking towards Mahi knowing what's coming.

"Uh.. Okay!" Virat said, disappointed.

Hardik sends some pics in the group. And Virat, being the first one to see them, fumed in jealousy.

Virat's possessiveness was kicking in from every side in his body.

No one can visit Mahi Bhai if Virat couldn't!

Mahi Bhai was his and no one can meet Bhai if he can't!

End of the debate!

Virat fumed in silence for another an hour till he made Mahi Bhai call him ten times before answering the call.

"That was so unfair, Bhai!" Virat whined even before Mahi could speak.

Mahi sighed. He knew this was coming.

"Cheeku–"

"You didn't let me come but you allowed Harry!"

"Cheeku–"

"You didn't even tell me he was coming!"

Mahi didn't even try to speak.

"I wanted to meet you but you asked me not to travel but you met Harry! You spent all your day with him and didn't even answer my calls! You guys planned it all without me!You told me not to come and was clicking pics with Harry! I won't talk to you!" Virat finished with using all his top notch whining skills.

I knew Harry won't listen and will share the pics.. that's why I didn't want to take any! Mahi thought ruefully.

"Cheeku, I didn't know he was coming." Mahi said drily.

"You knew!" Virat said stubbornly.

"I didn't, Cheeku, really. He had informed Sakshi, not me." Mahi said earnestly.

"Bhabhi would have told you, of course?" Virat said accusingly.

"You think so?" Mahi sighed.

"Next time I'll also plan it with Bhabhi only!" Virat mumbled.

"What?" Mahi raised his eyebrows.

"Nothing!" Virat snorted. "I'm still angry. You didn't let me come!"

"I'd have never let Harry either, kiddo!" Mahi said.

"I don't care!" Virat said grumpily.

"Cheeku, we will soon meet during IPL, kiddo!" Mahi Bhai tried as he walked out of the room so as to not wake up Ziva and Sakshi.

"It was your birthday today!" Virat accused.

"Guess what, Cheeku, I do know!" Mahi said resentfully.

"Then why didn't you let me come too, Bhai?" Virat whined again.

"I told you, I never knew Harry was coming, Cheeku," Mahi said plainly.

"So you don't love him more, right?" Virat asked childishly which sounded more like a statement from five year old.

"Never, Cheeku!" Mahi Bhai smiled.

How does he even come up with such conclusions?

"So you love me the most, right?" Virat grinned broadly.

"I do!" Mahi Bhai said sincerely.

"Not like this, Bhai! Say I'm your favorite brother and just I'm your favorite brother and you love me the most!" Virat said mischievously.

"My favourite brother is just you and I love you the most, Cheeku!" Mahi Bhai repeated after Virat. "And I love you even more when you get jealous." He added teasingly.

"Jealous? Me? About you? I've official rights over you, Bhai, and no one can claim you illegally. I will file FIR against that person. You are mine officially!" Virat said smirking gleefully.

"As Rahuliya said, all rights reserved!" Virat added smugly.

Mahi Bhai laughed hearing him but couldn't lie that he didn't feel warm. He was indeed very lucky to have Cheeku, wasn't he? My Cheeku! He thought fondly.

"Promise me all your time during IPL is mine too!" Virat demanded.

"I promise, kiddo!" Mahi chuckled.

"Aur iss Harry ko toh mai dekhta hoon!" Virat mumbled to himself.

"Kya?"

"Nothing, Bhai. I said I love you so much!" Virat grinned.

"I love you too, kiddo!" Mahi Bhai smiled.

"Bye, Bhai."

"Bye, kiddo!"

Mahi hung up the call and as soon as he did, he noticed their group was full of messages.

Virat had sent some recording which had replies something like—

Hardik - THIS IS NOT DONE!

Rohit - 😑

Jinks - Can't believe! 😐

Rohit - 😑

Wait, wasn't Virat talking to him that time?

Mahi thought suspiciously.

Damn!

He started the audio and it was exactly what he had expected.

*Mahi - My favorite brother is just you and I love you the most, Cheeku!*

Mahi shook his head as he laughed out at Virat's antics.

"Cheeku, when will you grow up?" Mahi said to himself laughing. "On second thoughts, don't grow up!" He added chuckling.

My possessive little brother! Mahi thought to himself with a smile as he saw the last message of the day in their group.

Virat - No one will ever argue on this from now on! Mahi Bhai is just mine! 🌚🌚
