SUMMER WAS BACK and Mia couldn't be more excited.  Belly and the Fisher Brothers (she didn't really care for Steven) were coming back to Cousins Beach. There was just one problem: her lingering crush on Cam. It's like Cupid had shot arrows at her, making it impossible to get rid of. It was no surprise to her friends that she liked him.

The death of Susannah was an anchor weighing on her heart. It was hard for her to believe, sometimes crying when remembering the blonde. It was even worse since she had lost her grandfather many years ago, knowing what it's like for Jeremiah and Conrad.

But the weather was getting warmer and the water was cooler. Mia looked really pretty, at least that's what Cam noticed.  Wait... why was she on his mind all of a sudden?

The curly haired boy was supposed to hate Mia Knight, they were academic rivals after all! So why wasn't his mind listening to him? Maybe a spell was placed on him, cursing him to suddenly have her on his mind (guess he was blind to see that she was right in front of him the whole time).

It's like they were in some cheesy romcom.  Mia was the leading lady, a hopeless romantic chasing after the guy she liked.  Cam was the infuriating yet charming character she meets at a coffee shop, library, or wedding who don't like each other at first (and yes, I'm referring to 27 Dresses).

All they needed was a push, a push for a spark to happen.

But sometimes summer has the most unexpected ways  of helping you.
