Elarinya POV

I was sitting on the bed in the room Lord Elrond has been letting me use and I am staring out the window at the wondrous place that is Rivendell. Out of all the bad things that have been going on, being in Rivendell seems to calm me somehow.

I hear a knock on my door. "You may enter." I say and an elleth opens the door.

"Lord Elrond summons you, my lady. He wants you meet him at the Gardens." She says to me.

"Thank you for letting me know. And you can call me, Elarinya." I say kindly to her.

"You are welcome, Elarinya." She says to me with a smile on her face and I smile back at her.

I head to the Gardens thinking 'why has Lord Elrond summoned me?' I wonder if it has to do with what he and Legolas had been talking about earlier. I guess I'm about to find out.

I finally get to the Gardens to see Lord Elrond, and two other ellons standing there.

"What is it that you have summoned me for, Lord Elrond?" I ask him as I walk closer to him and the two ellons.

Lord Elrond explains, "I am sending you on a very important mission. One that could be very dangerous, so I will not have you go alone. These two ellons standing next to me will be joining you."

Legolas POV

~conversation from before the incident with Elarinya and Lithóniel~

I was walking along a path outside of Rivendell to clear my head when I hear light footsteps following me. I assumed it was probably Tauriel and kept walking.

After a while I turned my head around to see, not Tauriel, but Lord Elrond. He nodded his head in the other direction and I walked by his side as we headed back towards Rivendell.

"Legolas, there is a task that needs to be done. And I would consider you and Tauriel to do the task, but your Ada needs you. So you and Tauriel need to head back tomorrow." Lord Elrond tells me.

"What is the task that needs to be done?" I ask him.

"I need someone to go inform Lady Galadriel what is going on. She needs to know that Lithóniel is planning to start a war and she also needs to know that your friend, Aerlinniel, has been taken. Since you and Tauriel are needed elsewhere, I have decided to send Elarinya." He explains.

"I do not think that's a good idea, Lord Elrond. She could be killed." I say to him.

"Yes, that is true. But I am sure she will be fine. I am having someone go with her." He informs me.

"Who?" I question.

Yay! Its another update!!! :D :D :D I hope that you guys like this update. I am so glad to be back I've missed writing and I've also missed you guys so much. Yes, this one is also short but, like I said in the last chapter, I have some exciting and shocking things coming up. Can anyone guess what is going to happen There might be an update later today or tomorrow. Depends on how much time I have today. :)
