Mother: Ambertuft, a ginger ticked tabby she-cat with amber eyes and long fur (I learned just recently that a ginger cat can only have faint tabby lines if they are a ticked tabby)

Father: Hawktalon, a light brown (cinnamon) tabby tom with green eyes and medium fur.

Original appearances:

Shadeheart: A ginger and black tortoiseshell tom with green eyes and long fur.

Sandystrike: Light ginger she-cat with very faint tabby stripes, amber eyes, and long fur.

Rabbitclaw: Dark ginger tom with green eyes and short fur.

Genetically accurate appearances:

Shadeheart: Tortoiseshell toms are INCREDIBLY rare, so if you wanted to keep him as a tortoiseshell, he'd be a cinnamon and ginger tortie with green eyes and long fur. However, he would MOST likely be a ginger tabby tom with green eyes and long fur.

Sandystrike: Cinnamon and ginger tortoiseshell she-cat with amber eyes, and long fur.

Rabbitclaw: Dark ginger tom with green eyes and long/medium fur.

Explanation:

I'm gonna be a bit brief with this one, since I know you have a great knowledge on cat genetics already.

For Shadeheart, if you wanted him to remain a tortoiseshell, he would be a cinnamon and ginger tortoiseshell tom with green eyes, and long fur. However, tortoiseshell toms are rare, so if you wanted him to be more realistic, I'd make him a ginger tabby tom. I will explain both outcomes!

The reason most toms can't be tortoiseshell cats is because a tom normally has one X and one Y chromosome, while she-cats have two X chromosomes. Since the genes for fur color are found in a cat's X chromosome, a cat needs two X chromosomes to display both ginger and black/chocolate/cinnamon on their pelt. However, a genetic mutation can sometimes occur where a tom is born with two X chromosomes, and one Y chromosome.

Sandystrike would be a ginger and cinnamon tortoiseshell. The genetics for Sandystrike is the exact same thing as the genetics for Shadeheart's tortoiseshell variation (except without a Y chromosome) so I will skip this one.

And finally, Rabbitclaw would be a dark ginger tom with green eyes, and long or medium fur. The genetics for his fur color are exactly the same as the genetics for Shadeheart's most plausible approach. However, he can't have short fur. Short fur is dominant to long fur, and after doing some research, medium furred cats actually have the same genotype as long furred cats! They just happen to be on the lower end of the long furred cats spectrum, if you know what I mean. Since both Ambertuft and Hawktalon have the genotype for long fur, and neither one carries a dominant gene, Rabbitclaw would either be a medium or long furred cat.

So that's it, thanks for reading this!
