Huzaifa's POV

" Sir we have lost control over the case. " My PA Hamid said.

" So? Aren't you guys aware of the protocols? Just go for it. "

" But sir... "

" You guys just know how to disappoint me. " I shouted.

" Sir, it's not like that. We tried our best. "

" You what? Tried? I wanted results. I lost the project because of your so-called tried effort. She was in my house, Dammit! Where was your security protocol, huh? You should have checked her background properly. Shit!! " I was in so much anger to kick the window of my car only to get my knuckles injured.

" Sir, I think it's better if we stop for a while. "

" And what will that reward me with? "

" Sir, please. Your knuckles are bleeding. "

" As if you guys care. "

" Sir please give us instructions. "

" I think there is some unknown waterfall nearby. Let's stop there for a while. I'll take care of my wounds. Please don't call the doctor and don't be stupid to call my mother. " Hamid nodded.

It had been a while since I had been traveling here and there. I just had one dream. Having my own family. After losing my father, it was very difficult for me to get over his tragic accident and all responsibility for his business landed on the shoulder of a teenage guy. It was the last year of my college but I couldn't have more fun. It was time for me to take over the position my father left for me. And since then, my Ammi is laying on the bed in grief.

" Sir. We have reached. " I woke up from the nap and walked out of the car.

" Hamid. " I called for my PA who is also my friend. He understands that the work zone is over whenever I call his name.

" I am sorry for the frustration. But you know na, the loss of deals and Ammi's health is troubling me. "

" I understand, Huzaifa. But believe me. We were close but... "

" It's okay Hamid. You guys have a party. You all tried the very best possible. "

" What kind of party? We disappointed you. I am sorry. "

I looked at the dull face of Hamid who was looking at the still water. There was a wooden bridge to cross over and follow the path to see the waterfall.

" Don't tell me you are planning on jumping that bridge because of this loss? " I joked and Hamid chuckled at it.

" I won't. I'll show you that it might be not meant to be ours. But I'll grab every opportunity after this even if it's not to be ours in the first place. " Hamid replied.

" Ohh come on. Relax now. Get the packed food from the car. We will eat here. " Hamid chuckled and I looked at him with a confused look.

" What? " Hamid pointed at the wet soil.

" You want to sit here and eat? Are you sure? What about your tuxedo? " I smirked and said,

" When the big deal is lost, then this little useless stuff doesn't even matter now. "

" Huzaifa! " Hamid called him out of concern because that does not sound like me.

"It's okay Hamid. I am in a better mood for now. Don't miss the chance and order the rest of the guys to have a party. And you come back here with me. It's been a long since we talked about life. " I looked at him leaving and then I looked at the sky and whispered,

" Why me? Why do I have to go through this? I am on the edge of losing both special things in my life which belong to my father. His business and his wife, my mother. Why are you taking both from me? It won't be good if I don't have something better... for sacrificing them from my life when I need them the most. "

I wiped the tears so that Hamid won't see them. I gulped down and looked at the road bridge where there were some noises of people talking.

" I can't even get some peace in nature. " I gritted at this loser feeling and sat on the rock under the big tree.

" Can't they just vanish away? " I whispered as I rested my head on the tree stem and closed my eyes.

" Though it would be the best time for Thanos to snap... If it was real. " I chuckle and looked for Hamid.

" Why is it taking so long for him? " I looked at my mobile and there was a poor network. I moved it in different directions when I saw a figure standing near the border of the bridge. I kept away my mobile and tried to get a clear picture of her.

" Why am I taking interest in her? " I waved away my thoughts but couldn't help and peek at her from time to time. It was good weather. I looked at the sky, birds, and the wind blowing.

" Did she just smile at me? " I wasn't sure of it. I smiled back unknowingly and that's when I saw the most frightening step she took.

" HAMID!" I screamed his name for help and I ran to get her.
