Despite how hard he tried to rest his eyes, Y/N had found the task of going back to sleep to be difficult and taxing. When had first came back to the dorm, he hugged both Alexis and Leona, expressing his happiness. After that however, he got changed, walked over to his bed and fell over, falling asleep as soon as his head hit the pillow. Now, he laid with his eyes open wide and his gaze focus towards the wall. He had believed that maybe he had fallen asleep too early and his body needed to move.

Deep down however, a different feeling came about. One involving Bliss. No matter what, Y/N's guilt over what happened still remained. Bliss was someone that he cared for. The person he had fallen in love with. It would truly hurt him if she didn't make it through her injuries. Perhaps this was what was keeping him up. The thought of losing Bliss.

But what if she's already gone?

The very thought had brought tears to Y/N's eyes. If he was the cause for her death, he could never forgive himself. He would drop out of Beacon and never think of becoming a huntsman again. Y/N closed his eyes and tried his hardest to go back to sleep, but it didn't work. A few minutes went by and he was still awake. He was just lying there in his bed, his eyes closed and his mind clouded of thoughts that he didn't wish to have. His friend was hurt and it was all his fault. His friends had shunned him and it was all his fault.

"I need to check on Bliss." Y/N ripped the covers off from his body and ran towards the door, only to stop and grab his jacket, shoes, scroll, and key. After grabbing his needed materials, Y/N ran as fast as he could towards the infirmary, praying that Bliss was still breathing. Each step that he took caused flashes of memories to flood his mind. Memories of Bliss lying on the ground, writhing in agony. Memories of her crying out to Y/N. She told him that she didn't want to die so early. She had so much that she wanted to do with her life. Save thousands of people, help build peace between the faunas and humans, have a family, grow old, and other things.

If Y/N took that away from her, would he deserve the things that she wanted? She wanted to live, but she didn't. So why did he get to live? Why did he get to have a family when she didn't? Why did he get to see peace when she didn't? As far as Y/N believed, he had hurt Bliss the most. If she died that would make him her murderer.

And why would her murderer deserve to have a life when she had her life taken?

"Poor Leona. I hated her so." A sickening grin formed on Ruby's face as she made her way towards the roof. Killing both Bliss and Leona had brought a sense of clarity to her mind. Not only that, but everything around her felt more real. When her hatred of Y/N's team arose, she had seen nothing but fog. A fog which covered Beacon and its students. Y/N had been covered in it the most.

The only thing being visible to her being his jacket. However, now that she's killed Leona and Bliss, the fog had subsided. She could make out most of, if not all of Beacon. However, there was still one thing being covered. Y/N's head was still covered in fog and Ruby could hear Alexis' laughter. All Ruby needed to do now was take out Alexis.

That was she could see her beloved in a clear view.

"Should I slip into their dorm and take a shower there? I'd already be near him. I could just take off my towel and we could go from there. But he would probably question how I got in there. I could say that the door was unlocked. What if he asks why I'm taking a shower this late? Or why I'm in there. Screw it, I'll figure this out later."

Finally getting to her location, Ruby spotted Alexis sitting in a cross-legged position, her back turned to her. However, something was off and Ruby knew if. Alexis might have already known someone was coming. Readying Crescent Rose, Ruby dashed towards Alexis, only for Alexis to roll out of the way and create a staff from her aura. "What was that supposed to be?"

"Nothing. Just wanted to see if you were paying attention." Ruby flashes a grin, but Alexis narrowed her eyes. She was quick to notice the blood on Ruby's attire and wanted to know whose it was. "The blood. What did you do?"

"Oh this? No, no. It's just-"

"Don't bullshit me!"

"Are you telling Alexis? People are trying to sleep. Like Y/N..."

"Is... Is that his blood?"

"Of course not! I would never think of killing my lover in cold blood! Ever! Now killing the people who blame him... the people who hurt him and try to take him away from me? I kill them."

"Blame him? What are you..." Alexis' eyes then widen in realization. "Bliss and Leona... you-"

"I did. Your friend had the audacity to lie to my face. She said that Y/N could never love me. Could you believe that? I have never met such a liar in my life! Not only did she lie to me, but to herself and the world! How could Y/N fall for someone who can't even move their fingers?"

"You finish those words and I swear you'll be looking worse than that corpse of a friend!"

"I... I can't believe any of this. You're a monster. An obsessed murderer. I swear... I will avenge my teammates!"

"Another lie! Wow! Your team is just filled with liars!"

"Damn it, stupid doors locked!" Y/N's panicked voice filled the halls as he pulled on the doors. Even though he knew that they wouldn't open, he still persisted and pulled. "Just open up. I... I just want to see if she's okay." Y/N then dropped to his knees, his hands still on the handles. Each time he pulled on the door, Y/N could feel cracks form on his heart.

She's gone. Stop it. Go back to bed. Don't. Go to your dorm. This only hurts because you pull the door. Please go back. It's your fault. It's not your fault. You tried to help. You failed. She's dead. You're alive. Don't let guilt take over. A huntsman saves people. You can't save everyone. It's impossible.

Y/N looked up at the doors for a split second and let go of the handles, placing his hands on to the ground. The tears in his eyes began to slip down his cheeks, hitting the ground at some points. "Why won't they shut up?" After a couple moments of sitting there, Y/N rose up from his spot and wiped his eyes. He knew what he had to do. To get the real answer, he would have to wait. To see if she was really dead or alive. "Where are Leona and Alexis when I need them most?" With a heavy sigh, Y/N made his way towards his dorm, trying his best not to think of Bliss and he injuries. Instead, he tried to think back to earlier. When he was with RWBY, JNPR, and the two parts of SSSN.

They were an odd bunch, but Y/N believed that was what made them special. Nora was probably the most energetic person he had met. If he didn't know her, he would've believed that she was drinking coffee every five minutes. Thankfully, Ren had told him that she never drunk coffee. If she did, Beacon would become nothing but ruins. Ren was the silent type, but was obviously one of the most caring in the group. To think that he and Nora were a couple would be ludicrous. Her personality mixed with his? It would look like disaster at first, but once one understood their relationship then it would become clear.

Pyrrha was interesting to say the least. A girl who hated living in luxury. She believed that everyone would see her as the "Golden Girl", but surprisingly that wasn't the case. While she does have her fans, Pyrrha isn't as adored by the people at Beacon as she was at Mistral. They basically kissed the very ground that she walked upon. The person most oblivious to her status was Jaune who only saw her on a cereal box. The first time Y/N heard that, he could only stare at Jaune in amazement.

Speaking of Jaune, the boy was unbelievably dense. For as bright as he was when it came to combat, he couldn't tell if a girl was flirting with him or if she was asking for directions. Later on, Y/N knew that the two would have to speak about it. That's why he brought up the licking technique in the first place. Just to help Pyrrha out. At least now he knows.

When it came to Sun and Neptune, all Y/N could say was that they were similar only a little bit. That fact being that they were a hit with girls. Neptune is just a bit more of a playboy. So he believes. The first time he heard of Neptune's fear of water, Y/N was tempted to throw it on him to see what would happen. He then decided against it, saying that he was no villain. Though if Cardin feared water, that would be another story. However, Neptune did do one thing that made Y/N question things. How did he get Weiss to like the name "Snow Angel" when Jaune couldn't? It was odd to him.

Just as his thoughts went to RWBY, the wandering Y/N felt his scroll go off in his pocket. It was a text from none other than Ruby Rose herself. At 1:56.

"Can I come to your dorm?" Raising an eyebrow curiously, Y/N answered back.

"For?"

"So Yang had this guy over and they took over the room. I don't know where Blake or Weiss went to, but I went to the library to sleep. It didn't work out for me."

Y/N read the text with some suspicion. Why didn't she ask JNPR? She asked them if he could sleep there so what exactly was the problem? As he started to text that, he paused and erased it, seeing as how she came to him and asked. It would be rude since she did help him out after all.

"Okay then. I'm not at my dorm at the moment, but just wait at the door."

"Thanks! Hated sleeping with books. Already have to read them for class."

Turning the corner of the hall, Y/N spotted his redheaded friend with numerous things in her grasp. Mainly things that signify someone is going to take a shower. She was wearing a white t-shirt along with what seemed to be tight black shorts.

"Hey Ruby. Sorry if I took a little long. I was just going for a late night walk. What's with all the stuff?"

"Oh, I couldn't shower in the dorm so I thought maybe I could do it over here. Sorry if it seemed like it's a bit extra, you know?"

"It's fine. Kind of rude that she kicked you out." As Y/N began to unlock the door, a thought came to him. "Hey have you seen Leona or Alexis?"

"I don't think so. Why?"

"Well I didn't see them when I woke up and when I tried to call them on my way here it went to voicemail. Did they have some boyfriends I don't know about?" Chuckling to himself, Y/N opened the door and allowed Ruby inside. "Again, thanks for this. I really hated sleeping in that library."

"Could only imagine. So, you can just sleep in any bed that you want after you shower." Ruby smiled at Y/N's words and entered their bathroom, shutting the door lightly as she entered. "Now then, I gotta think."

Y/N walked over to his bed and sat down, running his hand over his head. First Bliss, and now Alexis and Leona. Maybe they did have some sort of boyfriend that he didn't know about. Maybe they went out to Vale as soon as he went to sleep. But surely they would've sent him a text telling him this, right?

As he sighed, the sound of the water hitting the wall reached his ears. It was still odd that Ruby chose his dorm of all places to go to. He was sure that JNPR would've been the first people she went to seeing as how they were all close. This had also got Y/N wondering about RWBY and JNPR as a whole. If there were any closer teams than theirs at Beacon, then that would be impossible.

"I still wanna know how a girl like Ruby was teamed up with someone who used to be a bitch, someone who's more silent than a shadow, and someone who... well is just Yang. You surprise me Ruby. You really do."

"This is it. The final stage of the night. Just need to seal the deal and Y/N will be mine..." As Ruby's hand moved across her body, her mind began to form a scene of Y/N in the shower with her.
