The train station buzzed with energy and Daffy was sure to explode with excitement. "Katie! Hallo Katie, you beast, don't you hear me!" Exclaimed Daffy running towards her friend, who was engrossed in looking at the sky. "Awfully sorry Daffy, didn't hear you." Katie said with a sky wide grin. A girl with boyish messy red hair and huge blotchy freckles walked up to Daffy and Katie, and saw their friendly and playful chatter. "Hallo, Im Bobbie!" she said with a glowing smile. "Hallo there!" Daffy said. This girl is sure to be some fun, Daffy thought. Katie however thought differently. She didn't quite like sly grin the two where sharing, she quite disliked being left out on all the fun. "Well me and Daffy better be off" Katie said tugging Daffy's arm ever so slightly. "Why, wouldn't be simply splendid if you rode with us!" Daffy offered. Bobbie smiled brightly and nodded violently. "Careful, you might shake your head off!" Daffy said cheekily. Bobbie roared with laughter doubling over. When the group arrived at their carriage, they found someone else their already. "This is our carriage, I demand you leave at once" Daffy snapped angrily. "Oh hallo there, well i'm simply so very sorry but you see, I have already claimed this spot and have no intention of leaving it." the girl said, smiling snidely. "I see Eva has been left behind because she's too young." Said a peeved Daffy as they boarded the carriage. Suddenly, another girl climbed into the carriage. The girl was short and had a long nose that stuck up at the end and short silky blonde hair. "Aren't you Susy Glute?" Katie asked, surprised. "So what if I am?" She answered snootily. "Your not supposed to be with us third formers, go back to the second form carriage you little shrimp" Daffy said impatiently. "Well i'm much smarter than you lot, why I may even sit with the sixth formers!" Susy said, her tiny upturned nose high in the air. "Out now you conceited second former!" Daffy said, swatting her away. With an angry squeal, Susy crossed her arms and left the carriage. Abruptly after, another girl slipped into the carriage. She had a small nose, rather large light blue eyes and short blond locks that framed her round face. "Hallo there." She said. "Im Dolly, I was in the third form last year but was too young for the next form, so i'm in the third again." Dolly said. Daffy snorted, "Dolly, how unfortunate." Katie and Bobbie laughed and Dolly's complexion pinkened. Eva saw Dolly as an opportunity to prove to the third formers and her old enemies from the fourth, that she could make grand friends. "Hallo Dolly!" Eva said. "Hallo." Dolly said, examining Eva's stout dark hair and plain appearance. The two chatted a bit and Daffy became quite confused. Could Eva be turning over a new leaf? Eva didn't much care to let anyone do the talking, but this time, she was letting Dolly domineer the conversation. Then Daffy noticed Eva nodding and agreeing with Dolly's every word and she realized all Eva wanted to do was prove she could have a grand friend. How beastly of her, Daffy thought, a look of disgust crossing her face. Then, as the carriage moved on, Malory towers came into view. All the girls gasped with anticipation and joy, and even Eva grinned. It was going to be a simply splendid term!
