Ten Word Prompt – this is an exercise to help overcome writer's block.

What would you get if you had to use ten random words in order? Every minute or two add the next word on the list or use one per sentence.

This is what I got.

She had always hated pigeons, they were nothing, but sky rats and she despised rats too. It wasn't until she noticed the red painted on their gray beaks that she realized something was wrong. She followed the fluttering of the flock and the cacophony of their bickering to the bloody mess they were haggling over. It was a woman in a lavender sundress. Her face was freckled with the pecks of the scavengers. Marlana ran to the rail and vomited into the water. The waves washing away her lunch before she fainted onto the brick path. She knew why her sister was late for lunch now. Mary's sparkling blue eyes would never smile at her again. Marlana had now lost the last person in the world who truly loved her and she couldn't even stay awake to call the police.
