Nandu wokeup on her usual timing due to the ringing of her mobile....She received the call still in sleep...

Nandu(sleepy):h.e..l..l..o... M..a..n!!

Before she could complete the voice on the call startled her a little...it was someone else!!she woke up with a jerk and checked the time...it is 7am!!

Nandu(annoyed):yah Dr.Maddy!!how come you called at this hour of the day??

Maddy:i wanted to inform you about our night shift timings...

Nandu:oh!!that...from when is our night shift starting...

Maddy:from today!!

Nandu(thinking):hmm...so!!today morning iam absolutely free right??

Maddy:yah!!

Nandu:ok!!

Maddy:so what are your plans??

Nandu:nothing!!

Maddy:how about a lunch together??

Nandu:no Maddy!!I have an important work!!

Maddy:hmmk!!see you in the hospital then??

Nandu:yah!!bye..

She immediately hung the call and got freshened!!she is still in her night clothes...

Nandu reached the kitchen and found Swara preparing breakfast...nandu hugged her mom from behind...

Nandu:good morning amma!!

Swara(smiling):good morning bacha!!

Nandu:amma!!bhai aur appa Kahan hain??

Swara:tumhara bhai kisi meeting ke liye gaya hain!!aur appa!!study mein hain!!

she nodded her head and helped her in arranging dining table...meanwhile Vishnu too reached downstairs...

Vishwa(smiling):arre waah!!Meri doll Aaj itni subha!!yeh kya ho raha hain bhai??

Nandu(grumpy):appa!!

Vishwa smiled and hugged her...

Vishwa:good morning Meri nandu rajkumari!!

Nandu too hugged back..

Nandu:main apse baat Nahin karoongi!!

Vishwa(smiling):tu kitni bachi hain nandu!!

Nandu broke the hug,crossed her arms on her chest and turned her face to other side...

Nandu:main bachi Nahin hoon!!

Vishwa:acha Meri doll!!you are a big girl!! Ab toh wish Karo???

Nandu(smiled widely):good morning appa!!

He too smiled and they all sat down for breakfast..nandu is serving them..Just then the doorbell rang!!nandu stood up and went to open the door as she didn't started her breakfast yet...

As soon as she opened the door...she is shocked to see the person..yah!!she is expecting him but not like this..

(Manik's outfit)

Manik(smiling):andar aane dogi jaan!!

Nandu blushed and moved aside...he moved inside and she too followed him closing the door...

As soon as he entered the dining room...vishwa and swara stood up from their places....he touched their feet and vishwa hugged him while Swara side hugged him...

Vishwa and Swara are not too old type parents...they are just like Raj and nyo!!too understanding and too caring...

Vishwa:manik beta!!aao..betho!!have breakfast with us...

Swara:haan bacha!!baetho..

Manik nodded and smiled...vishwa and Swara too took their seats beside each other while manik sat adjacent to
nandu...opposite to them!!

She served him breakfast and started with her food...they are stealing glances with each other from time to time...

Vishwa:waise manik beta!!aise achanak kaise aana hua??

Manik(stammering):woh...woh.haan!!uncle!!woh..nandu ko hospital mein drop karne ko!!Kal seedha pick kiya Na issliye..(nandu already informed them about his new concert and her lunch with them!!)

Vishwa(sternly):uncle??

Manik(stammering):jiii....

Vishwa(laughing):arre appa bolo Na beta!!

Manik(smiling):ji...Appa!!

Swara(puppy face):aur main??

Manik(smiling broadly):amma!!aap kitni cute ho!!

Everyone smiled at this new found mother-son duo!!suddenly nandu remembered something...

Nandu(frowned):par...meri toh aaj se night shift start ho rahi hain na!!

Manik(shocked):yeh kabse!!you didn't informed me then??

Nandu:I too forgot that thing..aaj subha hi Maddy ne Bataya...

Manik(frowned):maddy??

Nandu:mera colleague...Dr.Maddy baba!!

Manik:hmm...

Vishwa and Swara smiled at them...

Manik:acha!!timings??

Nandu(smiling): 8 pm to 8 am!!

(iam choosing randomly..dont mind guys!!)

Manik(shocked):what??

Nandu(frowned):haan!!

He remained quite and soon finished breakfast...after breakfast he bid bye to everyone and both manik vishwa left for office...

Swara moved towards kitchen while nandu returned to her room...its her daily routine!!whenever she used to have night shift in previous 2 yrs she always used to either research on new found diseases and their symptoms or help Swara in kitchen and spend time with her!!

She went to her room and sat on her bed...she took the teddy which manik gifted her in her laps and made it stand!!(previous chapter guys...Remember??)

Nandu(to Teddy):tujhe bhi lagta hain ki manik gussa hain??par!!main kya Karoon..jabse woh aaya hain!!Meri poori din raat bas usi ke aage peeche ghumtha rehta hain!!what's my fault in this ki I forgot about night shift..aur i was about to call him only Na after breakfast...phir??mujhe kya pata ki woh aise achanak aajayega!!par..ab gussa toh hogaya!! Kya Karein??

She thought of something and a big smile appeared on her face!!she rushed towards kitchen and found it to be empty...

She called their servant and asked him about Swara...

Nandu:suresh chacha!!amma Kahan hain??

Suresh:bitiya!!meimSahab bahar gayi huyi hain...bola!!agar aap poocho toh Kahein ki shaam tak wapis aayengi..

Nandu:teekhe!!aap jayiye!!

He nodded and left...

Nandu(pov):wow!!amma bhi Nahin hain!!ab main aaramse Apna khaam kar sakthi hoon...

She made a call to Nyonika and talked with her for a few minutes...then she started with her work...

Nandu finished her work in 2 hrs and ordered something to workers...she then moved towards her room and got ready after freshening up...

She soon came downstairs and moved towards living room...nandu called suresh and other servants...they placed a bag in the car and returned back to hall...

Nandu(smiling):chacha main bahar jaa rahi hoon...amma pooche toh bol Dena ki main khana khake lautungi...aap sab bhi khalijiye...mujhe dheri hogi aane mein!!

Suresh:chinta math Karo bitiya!!aap aaram se jayiye!!

She smiled and left from there in a car with her driver as her car is still at hospital from previous day!!nandu treats all the workers as her family members...they too are equally loyal to them...same case is in even Malhotra mansion...

None of them in these two families ever mistreat workers...yah!!they are strict but as much as it is required...especially in office!!too strict...same with nandu!!But...when it comes to patients health regarding tablets and all..then no mercies!!

After about 30 min nandu reached her destination....

Nandu reached main branch of Malhotra industries...she got down from the car and moved inside with a bag and reached the reception...

Receptionist:yes mam!!

Nandu:could you tell me the status of Mr.ManikMalhotra!!

Receptionist:he is in a conference mam!!

Nandu:how long will it take??

Receptionist:it will be over by 2pm mam!!

Nandu:ok...what about Mr.Raj Malhotra??

Receptionist:he is in his cabin mam!!

Nandu:can I meet him??

Receptionist:just a sec mam!!your name!!

Nandu:Nandini Murthy!!

Receptionist made a call to raj...

Call

Raj:yah Sheela!!(receptionist name is Sheela)

Sheela:sir!!Miss Nandini Murthy came to meet you...shall I send her to your cabin??

Raj(astonished):what did you say??

Sheela:Nandini Murthy sir!!

Raj:iam coming!!You make her have a seat!!

Sheela:ok sir!!

She disconnected the call and asked nandu to have a seat...nandu being an obedient child sat down in the waiting seats...

Raj rushed from his cabin and reached reception which is in the ground floor while his cabin is in third floor...the entire building belongs to Malhotra's and is entirely occupied by their offices itself!!

As soon as nandu saw Raj she stood up from her place..sheela too saw Raj and stood up from her seat...raj immediately sidehugged nandu with a broad smile and she too responded...

Sheela stood there in shock as she never saw raj smiling and hugging a person other than manik which too she witnessed mistakenly while Manik and raj are in raj'a cabin...

Raj(to nandu):tum kab aayi nandu?? And y are you calling me..this is your office...tu jab chahe tab jaha chahe waha aa sakthi hain??you don't need any permission...k!!

Nandu(smiling):ok uncle!!

Raj:thats like my doll!!

Nandu(puppy face):aapki bhi doll hoon??

Raj(proudly):ofcourse!!

Nandu nodded in disbelief while Raj immediately turned towards Sheela...

Raj(sternly):she is my daughter in law!!manik's fiancee...i should not find you repeating this mistake again...or else you will be fired!!got it!!

Sheela(frightened):iam sorry sir!!I will never repeat this...

Raj:you better won't!!

Nandu(to Raj):uncle!!kya aap bhi..darayiye math!!none of them knew about my and manik's relation...leave it na uncle...she is just doing her job...

Raj:ok doll!!tu keh rahi hain toh iam leaving her...

Nandu(smiling):thats like my uncle!!(to Sheela)aap Apna work resume Kijiye..

Sheela:thank you mam...and iam sorry!!

Nandu:its K!!(to Raj)chale uncle??

He nodded his head and broke the hug...nandu held his arm and he escorted her to his cabin...

On the way

Raj:waise yeh bag mein kya hain??manik ke liye kuch!!

Nandu(teasing):haan uncle!!woh...it's a surprise for him..

Raj(sadly):acha!! Mere liye kuch Nahin??

Nandu nodded her head in no showing fake sadness...they soon reached near manik's cabin which is adjacent to Raj's cabin...

Nandu:uncle!!main abhi aati hoon...aap apne cabin main jayiye!!

Raj nodded his head and moved towards his cabin...nandu entered manik's cabin and placed something on his desk...she quietly returned to Raj's cabin...

Imagine chairs for visitors on either side of the round table opposite raj chair...

Raj is reading a file while nandu entered...he saw her and gestured her to sit and give him 2 minutes..nandu nodded in assurance and smiled at him.she sat on the couch in the cabin...she saw the time...it is 1am exactly...

Nandu slowly removed a lunch carrier from the bag she is carrying and placed it on the table infront of the couch...raj is busy in a file...so it went unnoticed by him...

Nandu removed all the boxes and opened them one by one...the smell of all the dishes tempted him and he turned towards the couch...

(That black one is dum aloo)

Raj(excitedly):yeh mere liye hain kya nandu??

She nodded with a Smile and he immediately moved towards the couch..but nandu stopped him by gesturing her hand...he raised his eyebrows as if questioning her and she signalled him to washroom which meant wash your hands...

Raj obeyed his doctor bahu baat and washed his hands...he then settled down beside her and nandu served him the food...

Raj(frowned):sirf ek hi plate!!tu Nahin khayegi Kya??

Nandu(blushing):uncle!!woh...main...Manik!!

Before she could complete her statement raj laughed and she blushed more...

Raj(laughing):Samajh gaya!!manik ke saath khayegi...r8??

She nodded and he smiled...

Raj:acha!!toh main nazar na lagau issliye mere liye bhi lekar aayi na!!

Nandu(sadly):uncle!!aap aisa kyun soch rahe hain??maine apke liye poora dil se banaya hain!!

Raj: arre!! Main Mazaak kar raha tha bacha!!acha sorry!!

Nandu:Nahin uncle!!aap kyun sorry Bol rahe ho??

Raj: then smile!

Raj signalled with his fingers and she smiled...he then took the plate from her and started eating...

Raj(while eating):nandu!!tune toh kaha tha ki manik ke liye kuch surprise hain...

Nandu(smiling):hain na uncle!!par aap dono ke liye...main toh bas apko tease kar rahi thi...

Raj:acha!!meri doll toh bahut shaitaan hain!!not bad...

Nandu(proudly):abhi apne dekha Kahan hain uncle...aur bhi bahut hain Jaanne ko...

Raj:philhaal toh yeh jaan liya ki Meri bahu kamaal ki khaana banati hain!!

Nandu blushed on hearing bahu word while Raj smiled proudly...suddenly his smile vanished...

Raj:aur yeh kya uncle!!uncle!!laga rakha hain!!call me papa beta...

Nandu(smiling):teekhe papa!!

Raj:thts like my princess!!waise...sab kuch sirf mere Pasandh ka banaya...aur sab kuch mujhe hi khiladiya...manik kya khayega??

Nandu:par paa!!paa bhula sakthi hoon Na papa??

Raj smiled at her and blessed her...

Nandu(excitedly):maine manik ke liye Uski fav banaya hain...and Uski cabin mein carrier rakha hain!!jab woh conference se aayega Na!!he will be surprised...

Nandu smiled while Raj too smiled at her...he finished his lunch and went to wash his hands while nandu packed everything and placed in the bag...she called the attender and he cleaned everything...

Meanwhile Raj returned back and both settled down on couch....

Raj:how come you know our favourite dishes...and they are exactly as I wish with less spices!!how doll??

Nandu(excitingly):i asked Nyonika aunty!!

Raj remembered something and rushed towards his mobile which is on his desk...

Nandu:kya hua paa??

Raj(tensed):nyo humare liye tiffin bejti hogi...i need to inform her that you brought lunch for both of us!!

He dialled nyo's number but nandu stopped him and made him sit back on the couch...

Nandu:paa!!aap tension math lo...i have already informed her and then asked Aunty both of your favourite dishes,the way you both eat...she was so happy!!so no worries now!!

Raj(smiling and relaxed):so...you are fully prepared Haan!!

Nandu(proudly):yes paa!!

He asked her to sit and she obeyed him...

Raj:acha batao!!Aaj Meri princess Ne khaana banane ka kaise socha??I heard that you are a very loyal and punctual doctor...

Nandu:woh toh iam paa!!kya hain na...from today my night shift is going to start....so till my night shift ends...daily I will be sending lunch for you both!!Aaj first day hain issliye I came to meet you two and dono ke Pasandh ke bane hain!!but from tomorrow...till my night shift ends.as a doctor and your princess I will send those foods which are best for you both!!and yah!!don't dare to stop me from cooking paa...i have full rights!!I have na(making a puppy face)??

Raj(smiling):of course my doll!!

She too smiled widely and hugged him instantly from side!!

Nandu:thnkuu paa!! You are the best!!and you know what...aunty also gave me permission to do whatever I wish...and haan!!don't worry!!appa and bhai also eat those food only which I cook...as it's my daily routine from the time my first night shift started!!

She broke the hug...

Raj(laughing):then OK!!I will also eat as I have company...r8??

Nandu:right!!

They high-fied and started laughing....soon they both got busy in their talks!!suddenly nandu realized that the time is 2.10!!so...manik must have noticed her surprise!!

She informs Raj that she will meet manik and then return to home...he hugged her and bid her bye!!raj resumed his work while nandu moved towards manik's cabin!!

After the conference manik entered his cabin and is shocked to see a cute minion tiffin box on his desk...

Manik moved towards it and opened it!!he removed all the boxes and is surprised to see his favourite food items!!

He is lost in his thoughts as nyo can never send a minion tiffin box!!just then..someone knocked on his cabin door...

Manik's back is facing the door...He without turning allowed the person to enter...he is waiting for the person to speak when he felt two tiny arms encircling his waist and a head rested on his back...

Manik recognised her touch...he held her hands and kissed her palms together...nandu blushed and removed her hands from his grip!!

Manik turned around and immediately hugged her tightly!!nandu too responded...after sometime he broke the hug and held her hands...

Nandu moved him towards his chair and made him sit...she moved her hands from his grip and is about to drag the visitors chair beside him when he pulled her and she landed on his lap...

He held her waist with his one hand and moved her hair strands behind her ear!!

Manik(smirking):aaj office mein??

Nandu placed her one hand around his neck while other hand is on his chest...

Nandu(blushing):i brought lunch for you and paa!!

Manik(frowned):paa??

Nandu:raj uncle Mani!!

Manik:ohh!!so...did dad completed his lunch??

Nandu:haan!!

Manik:aur Meri Elsa Ne??

Nandu:uhu!!Elsa apne prince ke liye wait kar rahi thi!!

Manik:soo...yeh sab Meri baby Ne banaya?? Mere liye??

Nandu bobbed her head and manik kissed her forehead...

Manik:soo...will my princess do the honour of  feeding me??

Nandu:ofcourse my prince!!

She dragged the box towards them and started feeding him with a spoon...manik too fed her...
