MaNan kept the news to themselves for 4 days. Meanwhile they sent out a text message to fab 4, navya, abhi.

Hey,

We (i.e. me and nandini) are holding a get-together at xyz hotel's rooftop restraunt tomorrow.(Sunday).

You have to be present there at 11o'clock.

Its an order.

Have something important to discuss.

See ya.

Manik.

The message receivers thought it is related to mukti's wedding preparation that is to be held next month. So they didn't enquire much.

Then manik informed about the same to his parents and also phone called nandini's parents. All of them assured their presence.

12:01 p.m.

"sorry , sorry!!" apologised manik raising his hands up, while entering through the gates of the restraunt with nandini, " I am extremely sorry...being the host and coming late is an unpardonable offence, i know..." he continued but rest of them had grim expressions plastered on their faces.

"oh so Mr. Manik malhotra knows that he is late!" alia mocked. Both manik and nandini had puppy faces.

"i am sorry!" nandini spoke cutely.

"yeah nandini...you should be sorry...since we are late because of you" manik turned to nandini and spoke through gritted teeth and at the same time indicating her to go with the flow "tumhe hi toys purchase karne ka shauk charh gya achanak! You are not kid"

Nandini made a sad face , acting hurt by his words. Rest of them looked curiously at them.

"nandini ne toys kharide? But why?? Wait a minute!! This is November! Tomorrow is children's day...did you guys call us here to celebrate children's day??" alia spoke hyperactively looking at others for confirmation.

Manik replied in a roundabout manner "yes alia tomorrow is children's day and madam (nandini) ko yaha ate waqt ek toy shop dikh gya and she was like i have to buy puzzles right now!! So i had to obey and thus we got late!" he said in an apologetic manner.

"nandini ...ye koi age hai puzzles solve karne ki!!" navya mocked.

"arey! Puzzles solve karne ka age se kya connection?? Puzzles ka level difficult hona chahye according to our age group...that's it!!" nandini spoke in defensive mode.

"acha?? Let's see your difficulty level...show us the pieces of the puzzle" cabir spoke humorously and MaNan hi-fived each other in their minds.

Elders were till now mute spectators.

"kids! What are you doing?? Wasting your time in such childish activities! Pehle manik tum ye btao ki why you have gathered us here??" asked neyonika.

"maa...you think this is childish...chaliye aap ek puzzle solve kar k dikhaiye fir main manungi!" nandini spoke in a challenging manner.

"beta.." neyonika began to say but manik cut her " mom...don't tell me you are scared of nandini's challenge??" he asked her in a horrified tone.

"arey no no...of course not...i was actually.." neyonika again tried to speak, but manik interrupted again "toh problem kya h? You guys also join na!!" he said referring to maan, neyonika, alok and sheetal. Giving up at last they agreed to join in.

Nandini took out three boxes of puzzle and placed it on a table and rest of them centred round the table.

The elders were given one and the second was given to fab 5 and third was given to navya, abhi.

"arey but where are the pics of the whole?? How are we supposed to know what arrangements are to be done??" asked abhimanyu and rest of them also shared the same look expressing their agreement.

Nandini chuckled "bhai..this is the task na...you have to arrange the jigsaw puzzle without any prior knowledge of what you are going to form and whoever makes first, will be in for a huge surprise!" she exclaimed.

"ok then let's do it" Dhruv exclaimed rubbing his palm and rest of them nodded and began their task.

MaNan kept an eye on their progress and nandini had a card ready in her palm, as soon as someone finishes the jigsaw puzzle, she would put the card on the table. That was the plan, how they would disclose the happy news to the family.

After a lot of struggle, nandini saw that the elder group was close to putting all the pieces of the puzzle, and nandini knew why, because her mother had a slight inkling of the news beforehand. Nandini smiled and nudged manik to see in that particular direction. And her amma put the piece which completed the message and nandini put the card on the table. They read both the messages simultaneously and then looked at nandini dumbstruck.

Neyonika could utter just two words "sach me??" and nandini nodded shyly yet with a smile. Rest of them huddled around to read the thing which had the elder ladies in tears.

Till then neyonika and sheetal came to nandini and kissed her forehead one by one. Neyonika , even kissed her palm and thanked heaven for this grace. The girls didn't stop shouting their "OMGs" and "awws". Maan and alok patted her head, lovingly, as she touched their feet for blessings.

Neyonika , sheetal and girls dragged nandini a little away to start their enquiry.

"beta, you got it confirmed by doctor??" neyonika asked and nandini nodded.

"how many days?" neyo asked again.

"this is the first month" nandini answered shyly.

"doctor ne kya bola?? Sab thk h na??" neyo asked.

"ji maa...sab theek hai...kuch supplements likhe hain doctor ne...bas!...baki sab thk h" nandini spoke trying to calm neyo down.

There was one woman, who was quiet but had a proud and happy smile on her face. And it had to be sheetal. She was really happy for nandini. Nandini too noticed her mother's smile but the girl's were still shooting their questions at her, so she decided she will have a warm conversation with her mother after everyone settles down.

"nandu tumhe kab pta chala?" navya asked excitedly.

"bas 4-5 days ago"

"how did you share the news with manik?? I am sure you both must have been really happy..like they show in bollywood movies??" alia asked in her chirpy tone. Nandini didn't want to share the details, so she cut short her answer with a smile "i just told him normally and yeah he was really happy!"

"oh my god! I just can't believe it...i will be bua in just a few months!!" mukti gushed.

"yeah seriously! I am so thrilled!" alia chirped.

"what do you guys think...boy or a girl?" navya asked excitedly and the girls got busy in their own speculations sparing nandini.

"beta, now you have to take extra care of yourself...ok? no bhagna-daurna and no strenuous work and also no heavy physical activity? Am i clear?" neyonika spoke in a stern motherly tone and nandini nodded cutely.

"acha did you eat something after the breakfast??" neyo asked.

"no maa..." nandini said innocently and neyo glared in return.

"sit here with your amma...main kuch order karti hun" neyo said and started to leave. Nandini tried to stop her but in vain. Neyo left , ignoring nandini's pleas.

"nandu...beta..tension mat le! Ye ek worried maa ki panic hai...let neyonika ji do...what she wants to do...it is her right! After all this is going to be her first grand kid, manik's child...ye baat bahut maine rakhta hai" sheetal explained to nandini, as she saw nandini getting worried for neyonika.

Nandini nodded in understanding and said looking at neyo, who was now talking to a waiter, "she is really happy"

Sheetal smiled "and you are the reason for her smile. I am very proud of you beta...that you took a wise decision" she said as nandini looked back at her.

"all thanks to you amma! I might have ended up on the wrong side, had not you and manik been there for me! i am really lucky" nandini spoke holding sheetal's palm.

"i am and i always will be there for you beta!...but nandini...ab apna khayal rakhna beta...bachpane k din gaye ab ...responsibilties badhengi ab bachche k ane se...khud ko mentally prepare karna start kar do..theek hai?"

"jee amma"

"haa...aur tension bilkul mt lena kisi v baat ka...bachche ki health par asar karta h...always try to be happy and calm..and do things that make you happy...bahut sare physical changes aenge...smile through them ok...never get worried or stressed"

"hmmm"

And the conversation continued till, neyonika arrived and ordered everyone to sit down for lunch

Let's see what was the reaction of the boys, after MaNan declared the news.

Cabir,Dhruv,abhi read the message on the table that said:

"I thought you might like to know that we are expecting."

"expecting what??" cabir whispered to Dhruv, while abhi too listened curiously.

It did not click to them instantly, so Dhruv shrugged his shoulder in a i-dont-know manner. But, soon they saw the reactions of the ladies and neyonika getting emotional, that made them sceptical, so cabir tapped manik's shoulder.

"are you going to be a dad, manik??" cabir asked expectantly. Manik nodded with a proud smile. And the three of them jumped on him for a hug.

"congrats bro!!" Dhruv exclaimed with a huge smile.

The boys were busy in their own world that alok and maan had to interrupt so that they could also wish the world's happiness to manik. They took manik in a hug and wished him.

This exchange of wishes continued till neyonika called them for lunch.

After lunch, fab 5 were standing together and admiring the view of the sunset whereas manik was busy admiring nandini.

"i think we need to meet up and discuss things" Dhruv said still looking ahead.

"yeah...i need to work out my schedule" manik spoke sipping his drink while still looking at nandini.

"we are supposed to go on a world tour...it was supposed to be our international opening" alia spoke.

"it still has time alia...we will do as the situation will demand then" cabir spoke in his casual tone.

"yeah i agree, let's just focus on the immediate things for now" Dhruv suggested and alia nodded vigorously like a kid.

"yeah and we need to celebrate the news in our sstyle! What say guys??" mukti chirped.

"definitely!" chorused the three of them while manik nodded with a smile.

"maa-papa are so happy na manik!! I didn't know that this decision will bring so much happiness in everyone's life" nandini said sitting on the bed, while manik was looking at himself in the mirror after getting freshened up. Hearing her , he turned around and walked to the bed, smiling all the time.

"sometimes we come to know the impact of the decision, once we have already taken it.." he spoke after settling on the bed beside her. She smiled in agreement and moved to keep her head on his heart. He wrapped his arm round her.

"manik..."

"hmmm"

"sab thk se ho jaega na" she spoke with a tinge of worry. He pulled back to look at her face and smiled assuringly "nandini...jo v hoga...we will go through it together...main hamesa ,har pal, tumhre sath hun...so don't take stress ..ok and only smile!" he assured her and she smiled then he kissed her forehead softly.

As she again lay comfortably on his chest, he remembered something so he said "nandini...i have a request...." as he said that she looked at him, so he continued "please...stop wearing heels...".

He couldn't complete as she spoke interrupting him "but...manik...there is some time na...i have not yet gained weight.."

"nandini...its not only about weight , jaan...you know tum heels pehnogi and by any chance you trip or something...on other times it would have been a minor thing but not now....please for your own security...listen to me" he requested.

"but when i don't wear heels, i don't even reach your shoulders!!" she complained in a babyish tone that made him chuckle.

"nandu! That is not a valid reason ok!...aur wese bhi mere shoulders tak pahunch kar tumhe karna kya h!!" he said chuckling.

"arey...! i won't be able to kiss you in a go, na!"

"oh acha!! Don't worry i will bend down for you...see...like this" he said and bent down to reach her lips as her head was still on his chest. She smiled heartily before he grabbed her lips for a soft endearing kiss.
