"manik...where are you taking me? main gir jaungi" nandini complained as manik had her blindfolded and she was stumbling on the pebble-filled path.

"just two minutes sweetheart. And trust me...i won't ever let you fall!" manik replied. Nandini huffed "ok!"

"ok...we are here! I am taking off the blindfold at the count of 3......1....2.....3...." manik took off her blindfold. "tadaaan!!howz the surprise???" he spoke as nandini gaped at the view in front of her.

"manik...cruise???" she asked in disbelief.

"yes..." he replied enthusiastically.

"oh my god!!" nandini started hopping in excitement "wow i am so happy!! Thank you thank you!! Thank you so much! I love you" with that she quickly pecked his lips. Manik looked at her stunned. Nandini giggled "kya!! Ase kya expressions de rahe ho?? As if i have never kissed you!"

He composed himself and spoke straightening his jacket, "aahn...asi koi baat ni h...wo ...i was just surprised" he spoke blushing. He looked so cute that nandini couldn't control herself from pulling his cheek "how cute!" she exclaimed and again pulled him down and kissed his cheek this time.

"you know agar tum ase hi mujhe instigate karti rahi na...toh...i swear...andar jo log tumhra wait kar rahe hain...they will keep waiting forever...because ..." he couldn't complete as nandini understood his meaning and stopped him from speaking further "its my birthday party! Yay...chalo chalo...let's go!" she said and manik smiled on his own knowing very well that she cleverly changed the topic.

Next day

Today is rakshabandhan.

"manik!! Nandini!!" neyonika shouted from the living room and the couple came running adjusting their respective attires.

"sorry sorry! Maa....sorry!" nandini apologised cutely. Manik knew better tactics to handle his mother, so he just hugged her and said "mom you are looking very beautiful"

Neyonika gave in to the flattery and smiled while nandini looked at manik in disbelief that how easily he diverted his mom.

"chalo nandini...jaldi karo ...ase q khari ho?? We are getting late" manik spoke authoritatively and then winked which made nandini roll her eyes.

All of them were gathered in the living room. first maan and neyonika were made to sit as maan's sister had sent him rakhi. Mukti being the daughter, tied the rakhis on maan's wrist as well as neyonika's...because after a brother's marriage rakhis are sent in pairs.

Next was the turn of nandini's parents. Nandini tied the rakhis on her appa's wrist.

Then manik and nandini were made to sit together. Mukti first did their arti, then applied tika on manik's forehead. Mukti picked her rakhi and manik forwarded his wrist. She tied the rakhi on his wrist and then on nandini's. She fed him sweets and then finally extended her hand in front of him with palm open asking for her gift. Manik made a sad face.
"sorry mukti...iss baar koi gift ni h...i forgot...tch" he said and mukti looked down a little disappointed but then she quickly recovered and smiled "its ok....bhai"

Nandini glared at manik as she saw him smiling inwardly. Nandini knew that he had mukti's gift. Maan and neyonika came forward to cover up for manik and said "its okay beta...your gift is pending...i am sure manik will give you once we go back to Mumbai" neyonika said and mukti smiled.

Nandini nudged manik and whispered "what is this manik! Q mukti ko paresan kar rahe ho?"

"arey keep quite yaar! Thora sat oh maja banta hai...!" he replied.

"acha...? maja haan...!" nandini said raising her eyebrows and then turned to mukti "mukti!!!" she called and manik knew that the fun was over.

Mukti turned and said "haan bhabhi"

"come here...ye lo tumhra gift" nandini said forwarding a box. Mukti looked at nandini , then at manik...who gave her sheepish smile, "tujhe sach mein laga main bhul gaya?? Itna hi bharosa hai apne bhai par??" manik asked smiling and mukti just hugged him tightly. Manik twirled while still hugging her.

"you are the best ! bhai" mukti said.

"acha gift toh khol kar dekho" manik said. And mukti quickly unwrapped the gift. It was a brand new I Phone 7S . mukti jumped in excitement and leaving rest of the work , she began setting up her phone. Everyone smiled.

Maan patted manik's shoulder as the latter came to stand by him and gave him a look which said 'i am proud of you...beta!'

Cabir who was standing on the other side of manik , whispered "saale! Tujhe pta hai...yaha khare har ek insaan ko laga ki tu shaadi k baad badal gaya"

"asa kabhi ni hoga!" manik stated firmly and both of them smiled.

Nandini was tying rakhi on abhimanyu's wrist. Mukti was not sitting with him because they were not married.

Cabir sat down next and aliya tied him rakhi. Dhruv sat next and navya tied him.

After a while they had lunch, and after that finally sat down , relaxing a bit.

"okay kids , we are leaving for Mumbai tonight..." maan announced and suddenly nandini was alert.

"who all are going papa??" she asked.

"well i guess, everyone...except fab 5 and you" maan replied.

"bhai....navya...please!" nandini requested them through her eyes, because somehow she had a feeling that she will be needing them.

Abhi and navya were thoughtful for a while, but then watching her cute frowns, both of them decided to stay.

"but only for one day" abhi informed

"as i have a very important meeting three days later"

"ok!" nandini exclaimed.

Model's dress

"ok guys let's go" Dhruv informed and all of us got up to go to where the shoot was to take place. Manik held nandini's palm and intertwined their fingers. The other couples were busy too.

We sat in the car. we were enjoying the view outside. Fiji is such a calm and serene place. On my birthday, i got to see their traditional dance as well. Manik had organised that on the cruise. They had danced on the song BAILANDO of Enrique Iglesias. It had been such fan. We girls had joined those local dancers and had danced like them shaking our booty. Manik was all the time ogling, watching my sexy moves.

Remembering that nandini had a smile on her face. Manik saw that and asked her the reason behind it, she just shook her head in a no.

"acha...nandini...listen...main tumhe batana bhul gya...in this shoot...we have a female model...she will be shooting with me" he said and nandini nodded, but inwardly she felt a discomfort but she chose not to show it ,as being his wife, she knew this would be common affair.

Manik saw that she took the information quite coolly , so he added further " i want to tell you beforehand that since this is music album shoot , so there would be some romantic , intimate scenes."

"its ok manik, i understand" nandini gave him the much needed assurance and she saw him relax, visibly. She kept her head on his shoulder and he took her in a hug.

The shoot had begun indoors and nandini, navya, abhi had watched fab5 acting. Now the shoot was outdoors, on the beach. And in this part only manik and the model had to shoot some scenes. Fab 4 and others including nandini were now seated comfortably in the shades while manik and the model and other crew members were preparing to shoot, a few feet away.

The model was wearing swim wear and manik was also topless. Nandini was uncomfortable and it was quite visible on her face. Fab4 , abhi, navya too , noticed but they were helpless.

The shoot began with some mild romantic scenes. Nandini was watching calmly (it seemed so , on the surface). Soon break was announced and manik came running to nandini.

He watched her facial expressions, but she acted normal, so he sighed and sat down on one of the chairs and pulled her onto his lap.

"tum thk ho?" he asked putting her errant hair behind her ear.

"hmmm" she said keeping her hand on his chest and looking into his eyes.

"i desperately need a moment with you" he said and she looked confused .

"but why??" she asked.

"director said that i have a kissing scene, too....so plz before i kiss my co star....i want to kiss you...please!"

Nandini had a mixed feeling hearing him. But before she could ponder on that, cabir interrupted them

"manik....sochna v mt!!" cabir said and we knew about what he was talking.

"but why?" manik asked through gritted teeth.

"because...dude...khuranna is already worried because of your married man image...and now if on shoot pics are leaked where you are happily kissing your wife....it won't go down well with him" cabir informed and i listened carefully. But i saw manik tensing up, ready to counter cabir, but before he could speak, i palmed his mouth .

"manik!! Before you say something..listen to me...please.." as i said this he closed his eyes and took deep breaths. I removed my palm from above his mouth and spoke "manik...you should not mix your personal and professional life...work is work...and you have to do things to achieve things in life and moreover ...its just not about you...your professional life is connected with 4 other people ...think about them. Think wisely...ok??"

He listened carefully and then nodded at the end. I knew he was not fully convinced but he just gave in because of me. i smiled and got up from his lap. He too stood up with me.

"its late in the evening...manik...i am tired...can i go home and rest?" i asked cutely. He scrutinized my face for a while and i have no idea what he saw but he let me go. Navya too got up to go with me...having no option, bhai too got up leaving mukti.

"i love you " manik said and took me in a hug.

"i love you too" i whispered back over his chest.

I lied to manik when i said i was tired. I was not. i just wanted to get away from there. I couldn't see him kissing someone else, even for work's sake. I know i lectured him on this myself but when it comes to me i can't apply that logic.

So anyhow i had to get away from there.

Moreover, i will leave from here, itself. I can't watch him everyday doing those scenes and it would be better for him too.that's final i will talk to him once he comes back and then leave with bhai and navya for Mumbai.
