Nandini received Manik's message in btwn her work. She haven't forgotten abt it and she thought Manik will come to pick her up. Anyways she resumed her duty.

Just after her last patient left her cabin, she picked up her phone and dialled Manik's number who was busy in preparing the surprise for her. On receiving her call, Manik picked it up and.

Nan-hello.........

Ma-hello.........

Nan-Manik........you messaged me?

Ma-yeah........did you leave?

Nan-nhi bas 5 min mei niklungi.........tumne message kyu kiya tha?

Ma-bas aise hi.........you reach home........I'll see you soon.

Nan-okay.........bye.

Ma-yeah bye.

The way Manik ended the call made Nandini realise that he is busy in his work. She wrapped up her things and left for home. Manik's speed increased after ending the call with Nandini.

Soon Nandini reached home and got down from the car. She was walking towards the door busy in her phone and that's when the guard rang the bell, as Manik had instructed him to ring the bell once Nandini gets down from the car.

On hearing the bell, Manik ran to open the door and he was successful in doing that. Nandini was just 2 steps away from the door when Manik opened it. Seeing something happening Nandini looked up to see the door opening and it was Manik who was opening it.

Seeing him at home, this early with his changed attire made Nandini to frown, while Manik smiled that the beginning of his surprise was just perfect and he hoped that the entire surprise goes as per his plan. Nandini entered just an inch inside the door and said/asked in confusion.

Nan-tum ghar kab aaye?

In reply Manik smiled more widely, if that was possible. Then he wrapped his palm behind her back and pulled her inside the house, close to him.

Then with the other hand he closed the door and then walked ahead eventually pinning Nandini on the closed door.

Ma-surprise for you.

Saying that he winked. Nandini let her palms rest on his biceps and repeated his words in confusion.

Nan-surprise for me?

Manik moved his head in yes and then he said very huskily.

Ma-you know...........ghar pe koi nhi hai.......it's just you and me..........no butlers.

To which Nandini too replied huskily but with a smile.

Nan-toh hum aise kyu baat kr rhe hai?

Both giggled at the hush hush tone and then Manik said leaning his face a little closer to her's.

Ma-tumhare liye meine nahane ka pani (bathing) taiyar rakha hai...........just the perfect water temperature you like............get fresh quickly..........tab tak tumhari filter coffee bhi ready hojayegi...........just the way you like.

Saying that he kissed her cheek.

Making her smile and then Nandini said once his face was parallel to her.

Nan-but you didn't need to

She was abruptly stopped by Manik who placed a finger on her lips along with saying.

Ma-shhh..........the evening has just began...... get fresh.

Saying that Manik moved away so that he can take her bag and lab coat with him. Nandini giggled at it and said.

Nan-it's a bit weird.

Ma-I know.

With that Manik gestured her to walk and that's when Nandini saw the house. The house was made dim romantically and it looked more more more than clean. She walked along with Manik and entering in the mid, she realised that her favourite air freshner is sprayed in the entire house.

She smiled and climbed the stairs. On reaching the room, Nandini noticed a saree placed by Manik on bed for her, just the way she keeps his clothes (nightwear) ready. Manik placed her things in the wardrobe and then said to Nandini.

Ma-towel is in the bathroom..........so I guess you can enter in, empty hand.

Nandini was way more than surprised, it was weird but she was happy, extremely happy. Obliging to Manik's wish to let the surprise go according to his plan, Nandini quietly entered the bathroom to get fresh completely.

After she left, Manik came downstairs to prepare for the evening snacks for her. Both were busy in their respective works. After some 15 mins, Nandini came out in the bathrobe to find the room perfectly chilled.

She smiled at Manik's efforts and then got changed in the saree choosen by Manik. Drapping in that, she adored herself with no make up but vermilion and earrings. Done with that she put the bathrobe for drying and made way to downstairs after switching off the lights and AC of their room.

She just came in view of the staircase and at the first step Manik was ready to climb. Both looked at each other and stood still for a min. Then Nandini got down and heard Manik saying.

Ma-I was just coming to you to help you with dressing up.

By this time Nandini reached to Manik. So entwining their elbows, she turned him and walked towards the dining along with saying.

Nan-I can at least do that much.........most specifically when I have to do nothing other than that.

They reached the dining area and Manik pulled the head chair for her. Nandini looked at him in doubt, not coz he is making her sit on head chair and it's not like Nandini never have but being with Manik, Nandini never sat just like that. Seeing her expressions Manik said.

Ma-arey betho..........don't think much.

And then he made her sit. Once she sat he said showing his fore finger.

Ma-ek min...........

Saying that he ran towards kitchen. Nandini looked around to find no decorations but still the house looked beautiful. She was busy in pondering everything, when she saw Manik holding a tray and walking towards her in a tortoise speed.

Soon he placed the tray in front of her, Nandini saw there were uttappa in the plate, just the way she likes. It had chopped tomatoes, onion, capsicum, coriander, red chilli powder sprinkled on it with good amount of cheese and fried paneer.

Steam was coming from it, which meant it's made just now. Beside the left side of the plate was a hot cup of filter coffee, it's colour said that it's just the taste that she likes and along with coffee, there was a glass of water for her and on the right side there were 2 bowls, one which had chutney and other had sambhar in it. She was busy adoring the yummy food when she heard Manik saying.

Ma-actually yeh tray uthane ka stunt mei roz roz nhi krta na..........Isliye I was walking slow.

Nandini looked at him with happiness in her eyes, while Manik said.

Ma-tum start karo...........mei abhi aaya.

Saying that he ran again to the kitchen. Nandini waited for him and that's why her eyes were stuck to the way of kitchen. Soon she saw Manik coming with a plate and bowl. When he kept that in front of her that's when she saw it had extremely hot French fries and ketchup in the bowl. While she was busy looking at that, Manik spoke.

Ma-arey you didn't start?

Nan-meine tumhare bina kabhi khaya hai....... nhi na..........then sit.

Manik sat beside her on the right side and that's when Nandini broke a piece of uttappa and dipped it in chutney and bought the morsel infront of Manik's lips, who happily ate the bite. After feeding him, Nandini was breaking a bite for herself and that's when she asked/said.

Nan-yeh sab tumne nhi banaya hoga......... right?

Saying that she had a bite and Manik was done gulping the morsel so he said.

Ma-yeah........actually butler ne sab banaya....... and I was just going to cook it and fry it but end moment pe I lost the confidence and had to call him...........but coffee I made it.

Nandini giggled and feeded him the bite and then said.

Nan-you don't have to do these things........I told you right.

Now she ate and Manik was done gulping so he said.

Ma-zarurat kisi chiz ki nhi hai Nandini........ but still tum karti ho na hum sab k liye........so aaj meine kr liya so what's a big issue in it.

Saying that he started chewing the bite that Nandini feeded him, along with chewing he got up and said showing his fore finger again. Then he ran in kitchen and came back soon within a min.

This time also he had a plate with him. When he placed that, Nandini saw it had another hot uttappa. Keeping it Manik sat and had the bite Nandini gave him. They ate and talk. Until they were full. Once they were done Manik asked the butler to leave from the door that was in the kitchen.

They were full just by eating uttappa, french fries were left untouched which they were munching now lazily, still sitting on the dining chair and talking abt their day. Manik told abt the interview. The question they had asked and his reply. After he said everything Nandini asked.

Nan-when is the magazine going to be out?

Ma-in a month or so.........

Nan-itna late?

Manik giggled at it and said.

Ma-Nandini woh log sirf mera interview thodi publish krenge.........ek magazine k andar kitna sab hota hai.......ads, promotion, nature research and lots.........assembling will take time no.

Nan-haan.........woh toh hai.

And then she kept moving her head in yes for 2 mins. After that she said.

Nan-aacha ghar pe toh ek magazine aayega na..........like we also want to read it.

Ma-off course aayega.........infact I told them to send it at your clinic first........ek tumhare clinic pe aayega........ek ghar pe.......fir ek ek fab5 aur V ko bhi dunga.........ek mangalore bhi jayega to your amms.

Nan-aacha?

Ma-yup..........

Nan-nice.........

Ma-magazine se yaad aaya.........that girl who took my interview.

Nandini replied as a cue that she is hearing.

Nan-Hhmm Hhmm.......

Ma-at the end.........she was asking me for a friendly......or to be more precise fan meet coffee date..........

Nan-toh tum gaye the?

Ma-nhi........I said her no.......I had this surprise to execute na that's why.

Nan-arey........kyu nhi gaye........hamari date toh baadmei ho jati.........pata nhi tum kab miloge usse phir.

Manik left a small laugh and said.

Ma-zaruri nhi hota toh mei tumhare liye office na jao.........surprise k chakkar mei date is next to impossible.

Nandini gave a "giving up" nod and then they continued chatting. Talking like this they were eating the French fries, dipping in the ketchup and also feeding each other. Done with that, Manik carried Nandini to their room as they felt tired from sitting all day.

Coming in the room, they laid down on the bed and rested for 2 mins. Then Nandini sifted her head on Manik's chest and picked up her phone. Then she opened her Instagram and started showing Manik a few things. Clothes and accessories and a few gossips of celebrities.

Manik was concentrating on each word that Nandini said and saw all that Nandini showed. After an hour of spending time with insta. They kept the phone and then Nandini asked.

Nan-what next?

Ma-actually I had planned nothing such....... but now that we have time........how abt swimming?

Nandini got up and said.

Nan-sounds fun..........lets go.

Ma-okay.........let's change.

Nan-Hhmm.

Both got down from bed, Manik quickly got changed and left to the pool as Nandini had said him to go and she will join him soon. Manik had told her not to wear a bikini and pull a stunt to which Nandini assured him abt it.

Coming down, Manik asked the guards near poolside to leave them alone. So now the area around pool side was empty. Waiting for Nandini was of no use as of now and that's why Manik, dived in the pool and swimmed to the other end of it.
