Manan came down to the dining table and found it empty. Mr Malhotra still had time to arrive, so Manik sat on his place and picked up the newspaper, while Nandini made way to the kitchen and started bringing all the breakfast dishes on the table.

On her second round, Mr Malhotra arrived at the table. The screeching sound of the chair grabbed Manik's attention. He looked at his father and then closed the newspaper. They exchanged pleasantries while Nandini came with the white tea pot and cups tray.

Mr Malhotra settled on his chair and Nandini came to the table. While placing the tray she wished him.

Nan-good morning dad.

Mr m-good morning.

She gave him a smile and then started filling their plates. Once done she started preparing their tea in the cups and served them. In the mean time the men's had started eating. Soon Nandini sat beside Manik and filled her plate. While she was serving herself, they heard Mr Malhotra speaking.

Mr m-Manik.........mei aaj bhi office nhi aaunga..........you go alone.

Ma-okay dad but are you feeling well........? I mean you are not coming to the office.

Even Nandini was worried + curious. The worry was reflecting on her face and seeing his worried kids Mr Malhotra told.

Mr m-I am fine dear.........just in a mood to take a holiday today.

Ma-ohhh.........you sure na!

Nan-yes dad..........agar aisa kuch hai toh please share with us.

Mr Malhotra smiled beautifully at his concerned kids. He realised that shifting to Mumbai and staying with the kids was the best decision of his life.

Mr m-i am 100 % fine..........don't worry......... aur agar kuch hota toh pehle tumlog ko batata.........don't worry.

Manan agreed to his words and then Nandini said.

Nan-mei hospital phone kr k aaj chutti le leti ho.

Manik bobbed his head in yes but Mr Malhotra immediately said.

Mr m-iski koi zarurat nhi hai..........meri wajha se your work shouldn't stop..........go ahead.

Nan-but dad it's just a day.........and we can spend some good time too.

Mr m-good time we will spend on this Sunday..........for today listen to me and continue your job..........aise bhi sirf char (4) ghante ki toh baat hai.

Nandini was still doubtful and looked at Manik for a second opinion but their look look session was interrupted by Mr Malhotra.

Mr m-usse mat dekh..........mei keh rha ho na.

With doubts in her heart, Nandini agreed to this. They started eating their breakfast and after 3-4 morsels Manik spoke.

Ma-dad........this Sunday we were planning to call all your friends.........I mean when Nandini was not around and they were insisting.......... so me and Nandini made plans to call them as well and fab5 and group..........let's make it a celebration this Sunday. What say?

Mr m-sounds fun.........okay I will call them.

Nan-call them from breakfast.........we will spend the entire day together.

Mr m-okay.

With this they resumed eating. In btwn they had mini conversations. Soon they were done, so Mr Malhotra left to wash his hands in his room and to rest too, while Manik wiped his hands with the napkin and got up to leave for office.

Nandini too wiped her hand and got up along with Manik. While they turned to move ahead, Nandini entwined her hand with Manik's elbow. He was surprised and looked at her with frowns to which Nandini said.

Nan-dad is not around.

Manik smirked and then they made way towards the door. Reaching close to the door, Manik turned to face Nandini who was waiting for him. Fixing his perfect collar, Nandini quickly sucked his lips for once and moved away.

Manik smiled and placed a kiss on her cheek. They stayed lost in each other's eyes for 2 mins and then Manik gave her a short warm hug. Nandini rubbed her hand on his back to pass the warmth. Soon they moved away.

Ma-I am going to miss you a lot.

Nan-same here.

Ma-so tonight...........should we plan for one.

Saying that he winked at her. Nandini blushed but her blush gave a positive answer, to which Manik smiled more and said.

Ma-don't tire yourself too much..........coz tonight I'll make you tired.

Nandini gave him a blushy smile and then opened the door for him. Manik stepped out of the house when Nandini called him.

Nan-arey Manik.

He turned to her call and Nandini said.

Nan-I'll send the lunch to the office as usual..........and for dad I'll cook and go.

Manik simply bobbed his head and made way to his car. All the time Nandini was standing at the door and looking at his retreating figure. Manik turned to open the door to get inside the car and that's when he found Nandini still standing.

They exchanged warm beautiful smiles and then waved at each other. Soon Manik sat in and drove away. Once he was out of her sight. Nandini closed the door and came to the table to see butlers winding up the table wrapping work.

She instructed the butlers to start preparing for the lunch. Chopping of vegetables, washing of meat and pulses and stuff. After giving instructions, Nandini came to Mr Malhotra, knocking at the door, she entered after receiving the permission.

As she opened the door, she saw Mr Malhotra sitting on his bed, with his legs spread ahead, his reading glasses on him and a novel in his hand. Seeing Nandini, Mr Malhotra took back his legs and said.

Mr m-arey Nandini........aao.

Nan-woh I thought you might be bored so I came here.

Mr Malhotra bobbed his head in acknowledgment and Nandini sat in front of him. They started talking, at first confirming about his health and a leave from hospital and then her mangalore trip. Topics came up one after the other and they had a gala time.

After an hour, Nandini decided to leave as she had to cook lunch, send it to the office and get ready for her job. After she left, Mr Malhotra continued reading his book. Nandini entered the kitchen and made a variety of dishes for Mr Malhotra.

As he was on a holiday mood, food helps to keep you going. After cooking the food and leaving it to cook by itself, she went to freshen up and get ready for hospital. Once she was done, she filled her's and Manik's tiffin and asked the butler to keep it in the car.

Then she came to Mr Malhotra bid him adieu and made way to the hospital. The driver first dropped her and then headed to Malhotra empires to drop the tiffin for Manik. While after Nandini left, Mr Malhotra had nothing to do.

He wandered around the empty house but how much can he roam. Yesterday he had watched plenty amount of tv and today it felt enough. Due to his growing age, he couldn't wander much freely, that is why he came back in his room and slept unintentionally.

Nandini started her work but in btwn kept calling at the mansion to know about Mr Malhotra's status. Due to Mr Malhotra's untimely nap, the lunch time passed away and then he woke up at 4.00 pm. He got fresh and came out.

Shankar kaka asked him for lunch and on getting positive reply, the food was served to him in no time. There was hardly any time when Mr Malhotra would eat at his home all alone.

When Manan are out on trips, Mr Malhotra would eat lunch at office. On Sunday's he would make plans with his friends and go out or call them all at his place which was very rare.

This felt weird coz of never doing it plus Manan being here in the town, yet he was eating alone. Anyways, after eating, he played chess with Shankar kaka but they stopped abruptly as the 1 game that had reached half took an hour and their old age didn't support them to sit still in a place for so long.

Though at office things are different. Inspite of being at one place, Mr Malhotra's mind would run and different places and was always busy at work, which is why he was never aware of time but still Mr Malhotra had a comfy couch in his cabin and he would lay down on it in btwn office hours too.

Anyways, the time was going too slow for Mr Malhotra and V, while for the rest the time was running. Nandini wrapped up her work and made way back to home. While rest of the gang were busy in their own life. V was still ill due to the abortion process. A little she was low from inside too as forgetting the first unborn is not at all easy.

Nandini reached home and met Mr Malhotra, then she quickly prepared his tea and sat with Mr Malhotra. Again spending some quality time with him, she came to cook dinner. The time had arrived when Manik will reach home and unintentionally Mr Malhotra left in his room.

Nandini looked at the watch and by this time, Manik's car should enter the gate, which it did. Leaving everything, Nandini rushed to the door and opened it to see Manik was close to the door. Manik was looking around while walking and when he was near, he looked ahead to see Nandini waiting for him at the door.

Happiness spread over in him and he smiled the brightest. Seeing him smiling, Nandini too smiled. Once he reached close to her, her arms wrapped up around his nape and they hugged each other.

Inhaling in each other's fragrance, they felt all their tiredness washing off. They stayed in the hug for a quiet long time. Breaking the hug, Manik sucked her lips. Once they parted he asked about Mr Malhotra.

On getting to know that he was in his room, Manik made way to him and Nandini came in the kitchen. Filling a glass of water, she made way to Mr Malhotra's room. Entering in, she saw the father-son duo talking about office.

Nandini served the water to Manik who had it in one go and then she left them alone. She resumed her work in the kitchen and then came out to go to their room and remove a fresh pair of clothes for Manik.

Once she disappeared from the stair, Manik came out to reach to his room, unaware of the fact that Nandini is heading to their room too. Coming in the empty room, Nandini started choosing Manik's clothes.

While Manik entered in an empty room and was removing his coat. When he entered deep inside, that is when he saw Nandini busy in the cupboard, unaware of his presence. He smirked and came behind her.

In a swift, he wrapped his hands around her tummy and pulled her backwards along with him and soon fell on the bed with Nandini on top of him. Nandini screamed with the sudden pull and fall. All her hair were disheveled and all over her face.

Manik rolled around and around and managed to hover over her. He cleared her face and seeing him Nandini said.

Nan-what is all this Manik?

Ma-romance.

Saying that he locked his lips with her's for a breathless long kiss. It was difficult for Nandini to kiss him back with equal favour, owing to Manik's dominating position of kiss. Breaking the kiss, they huffed on each other's face and then Nandini slightly slapped his cheek.

Breaking a mini eye lock, Manik digged his face in the crook of her neck and started placing wet kisses on her skin, while his right hand made way on her left b****t and started pressing it over the fabric. His touches and kiss was making Nandini loose her sanity. She wrapped her hands around his nape, closed her eyes and rested on his mercy.
