We were standing in the room just then a guy entered out room, me and nandini we both yelled together, 'Tum'. I made a disgusted face later on.

"How dare you enter my cabin without knocking?" - I asked furiously.

"Wo.. sir..me..Cab.." - He stammered.

"Get out!" - I retorted.

"Manik, where's that peon at fault? Why did you shout on him?" - Nandini questioned me after he left.

"You just shut up and get out!" - I said not making an eye contact.

"What! Ab mein bhi? What did I do? Just a minute back you were ordering me to marry you and now you're asking me to get out! Manik you know what the moment I think na that I know you, the other moment you do something totally different! What do you want actually?" - Nandini said wearing a confused look.

"Just shut up! Not even a word, back in your cabin right now." - I instructed her.

"Fine." - She said.

"Wese bhe yaha rehna kon chahta hai! Har waqt orders, marry me, do this, do that. Grr! I'm done with this man." - She muttered to herself but she was loud enough that I heard her.

"I heard you." - I said.

"Good you did." - She said while turning towards the door.

"Manik wo becharay peon ne kya kiya, I had sent hi.." - A voice from the door reached my ear.

and BOOM! Nandini bumped into someone.

"Nandini, when are going to learn walking?" - I questioned her sarcastically.

"Ow, I'm sorry." - She said looking down correcting herself.

"Woah! Bro, I was not here for a 2 weeks and a lot have changed." - The man whom nandini bumped in spoke.

"Cabiiirrr! What a pleasant surprise? You were supposed to come tomorrow no?" - I asked hugging him.

"Seems like my partner is not happy with my come back?" - He said.

"Cabir! Seriously!" - I said in an irritated tone.

I saw nandini staring at cabir in confusion and then when cabir too turned towards her, his expressions changed all of sudden.

"Cabir dhawan." - She said after her deep thought process.

"Nandini Murthy? Right?" - Cabir said.

Woah! What's happening. I feel alien now. They both know each other. Well that's not the question, but the question is how do they know each other?

"Wait! Hold on. How do you both know each other?" - I asked.

"Wo.." - Nandini lost control over her vocal cords.

"Wo, she's navya's cousin." - Cabir said.

"That's fine but she's never been to Mumbai before, how do you know her?" - I asked out of curiosity.

"You remember a month back I went to delhi to attend navya's cousin's wedding?" - He said.

"Yeah, I do. But then you came back to Mumbai on wedding day only because the bride ran away. Right." - I said remembering the event.

"Yeah that, it wa.." - Cabir started but then nandini jumped in between.

"Cabir!" - She said.

"Yes?" - He said turning towards him.

"Can I have a minute talk with you? I need to talk about navya di, please." - She said in a confused tone.

"Yeah sure, manik I'll be back in a while." - He said to me.

"No wait! You guys can talk over her only, navya ke bare mein hi baat karni hai na?" - I said smelling something fishy.

"No, It's my family thing manik. I want a minute with him alone. Chalain cabir?" - She said, I could feel tension in her voice.

"Aur wese bhe the first guy was that peon and I don't have a bad taste and cabir is already married." - She said with a grin. I don't know but something was missing, it didn't sound like her, the way of saying the statement was not-so-nandini.

They both left my cabin, I don't know what they want to talk but I'm sure it's not about navya! It can't be about her. The color of their faces went out of the window when they saw each other. God what is happening. I chucked all my thoughts and got back to work.

I walked out of manik's cabin with cabir.
Why? God why always me?
First manik being mukti's cousin wasn't enough that now manik and cabir are business partners? Seriously why does he play such games with me? Me kahan jaake marruu? How much I want to run away from my past it just come and stand right in front of me.
We reached cabir's cabin.

"So?" - Cabir said as a conversation opener.

"So?" - I said, somewhere lost in my own world.

"Why didn't you let me speak to manik?" - He asked.

Obviously he knows everything, I didn't tell him anything but he was present in my wedding and he knows that I was the bride and I ran away. I don't share a good bond with him but still I'll have to talk to him, I'll have to ask him not to tell manik about me, my baby and my marriage.

"Look cabir, you know what had happened in the past. Lets keep it a mystery please." - I said my thing in even a mysterious way.

"Tell me what you exactly mean?" - Cabir asked me.

"I'm not in for this solving this puzzle." - He continued.

"Cabir, I mean.. I mean, please don't tell manik about it." - I said.

"About what nandini?" - He asked, obviously, I'll have to tell him. He won't get a dream of what I want.

"Erm, that I was the bride and the reason behind it. Please." - I said in not so calm and pleading voice.

"God! But you need to solve this jigsaw puzzle for me first." - He said.

"Hmm." - I just nodded.

"So, you were pregnant, right? And that was the reason that you ran from your own wedding." - He said.

"Yeah. I left that place because they were not listening to me. I didn't wanted to marry that demanding jerk! He wanted to marry me for money sake and I knew my baby and I don't have a future with him and with my friend's help, I left that place forever but then.." - I told him life story.

"Then?" - He asked.

"Then.. When I came here I lost my baby as well.." - I said ending my story.

"What's your relation with manik?" - He questioned me.

"Me and manik..wo.. I'm his personal assistant." - I said.

"Hopefully just at office." - He said smirking.

"Erm.. mm.. yeah." - I stammered.

"Oh nandini, come on. I know what was happening there, spill the beans." - he attacked on me with his words.

"Do you love him?" - He questioned me on getting no response for seconds.

"Umm, yeah. I mean no.. I mean it's complicated." - I said.

"Nandini you're not sure about your feelings but you're cheating on manik!" - He stared to shoot daggers at me.

"No. I'm not!" - I snapped back.

"Then what do you think you're doing? You're not telling him about your past, you're hiding it from him and you think your past or that child's father, your boyfriend or whosoever won't try contacting you ever?" - He asked.

"I have some solid reasons behind it and about the child's father, don't worry. He won't try contacting me.. ever!" - I said.

"What reason do you have for lying to the person you've started building feeling for?" - He asked.

"Cabir, I can't tell you my life story." - I said annoyingly.

"And I can't let my bestfriend walk on a broken bridge. No! I'm going to tell him." - He spoke in a rigid tone.

"Cabir no. Please." - I begged.

"No nandini! Either you go and tell him the truth or I'm going to tell him." - He said and turned to move out.

"That baby was manik's. Yes. He's the man." - I spoker in one breath.

"What. Come again." - He said facing me.

"Yeah. You heard me right. It's manik only. No one else." - I explained. He made a weird face.

"OHKAAAY! There are like thousands of questions running my head right now but they're not important. I just want to know. Why are you hiding this from him?" - He asked.

"Cabir, I don't think it's the right time to discuss it with manik." - I said.

"And when do you think this right time is going to arrive, what I've figured out with your talks is that he has proposed you for marriage. Didn't he?" - He said.

"Yup. He did." - I answered.

"Then nandini when do you think you're going to tell manik that you were pregnant with his baby which you lost! It was his baby as well for heaven's sake go and tell him." - He almost threatened me.

"I want to, but I'm scared to tell him." - I said.

"Nandini, don't. Don't mess up things for yourself and for him. It can result bad. Real bad." - He warned me.

I just nodded, Yeah I know when manik will come to know about this, about his baby, my miscarriage and stuff he'll definitely turn cold or maybe soft. I don't know. I was so engrossed in my chat with cabir that we didn't, I didn't realize that our chat was being heard by someone else as well. No, not some but manik.
I got to know when I heard the voice of door when he pushed and walked out.

"Manik! Manik! Listen to me." - I said and ran behind him.

(Yeh lo, I don't if this one's upto the mark or not but this was needed. Thank you so much for all the love, it means a lot. This chapter is not long as the last one but I'm busy these days, that's why slow updates. I'm sorry.
