Manan sat in the car and drove towards their shopping destination. Manik had first decided to go to any restaurant or cafe for breakfast but now that they are heading to mall he decided to eat there only.

They started driving and Nandini started making notes in her phone for the things they needed. So the drive was silent. Manik thought of something and then said to Nandini.

Ma-Nandini........

Nan(still busy in her phone)-hhhmmm

Ma-mei kya soch rha tha........tumhe jo cheez chachi k pass se chahiye woh tum mall se hi kharid lo.........Chachi ko kyu pareshaan kr rhi ho........

Nandini looked at him and asked.

Nan-aise krna hai........?

Ma-I think wohi better rahega.

Nan-thik hai aise krte hai........

They headed towards the mall. Manik parked the car and they entered the mall. Firstly they headed to food court to have their breakfast. After that Nandini said.

Nan-now that we have to buy crockery too I think hume pehle woh kharid lena chahiye fir food grains. Kyu ki hume butter bhi chahiye aur zayda der rehne pe woh melt hojayega.

Ma-okay........

So first they entered in a home decor kind of shop and started looking at things that they need but something attractive. After a few mins Nandini picked up a flower vase and said Manik that she liked it and Manik agreed to buy that. Then their list went on. Glass plates,glass, cooking containers,storing containers, spoons,forks, jug, knives and many things that are required in our daily use.  

Storing containers for pulses,sugar,tea like stuffs.

Doing all this they never realised that they spended almost 2 hours in that. Finally done with that they came to the billing counter. It took time coz all the crockery needed to be packed in boxes so that it doesn't break.     

Manik paid through card coz he was there so he didn't withdraw cash. After paying all that they looked at the number of bags and then looked at each other.

Nan-hum yeh sab gadi mei rakh dete hai then we will continue further.

Ma-good idea.

They came down in parking and headed towards their car. They placed all the bags at the back seat so that it doesn't break in trunk. Done with that Manik was closing the car door when his phone rang. He picked up the call and started talking. After a small conversation Manik looked at Nandini and said.

Ma-I have to go to Khurrana's office. They need to discuss something.

Nandini made an O face while Manik asked.     

Ma-ab kya karenge?

Nan-tum jao.........mei tab tak baki ka saara saman le leti ho..........

Ma-will you be okay with that.........?

Nan-haan sab Kharidte kharidte muje 2 ghanta toh lagega.........I was just thinking k sab Kharid k where will I keep the bags.

Ma-that's not a problem..........I just need an hour.........mei fatafat kaam khtm kr k aata ho........

Nan-thik hai..........

Just then Manik's phone pinged and it was a msg of location of the meeting so Manik said.     

Ma-perfect.........

Nan-kya hova...?

Ma-this place is just 15 mins away from here......mei jldi jaa k aata ho...........

Nan-okay.....

They hugged each other and were abt to part ways when Manik again stopped her.

Ma-wait you don't have cash........mei withdraw kr leta ho.........

They again headed inside the mall and Manik entered the atm over there and withdrew 50,000. He gave that to Nandini and said.      

Ma-take this phir baadmei ka dekh lenge.     

As it was 2000 note they were only 25 so they were not looking too much in Nandini's wallet. In btwn all this Manik was chatting with fab5 and from that he came to know that aaliya is taking her car and fab4 are with her so he msgd them to pick him up as well. Now that it was decided Manik said to Nandini gvg his car keys.

Ma-keep this key with you........tumhari shopping ho jayegi toh tum gadi mei saara saman dal dena.

Nan-toh tum kaise jaoge.........?

Ma-Aaliya is cmg so she will pick me up.    

Nan-okay.

After all this both parted their ways. Nandini entered the food grain store in the mall and started her shopping. While Manik headed towards exit and just when he reached Aaliya too arrived. He sat with them and drove away. Seeing him over here that too early afternoon cabir asked him.

C-tu yahan kya kr rha hai.......mall mei?

Ma-shopping k liye aaya tha..........

Cabir checked his forehead and said.

C-bukhar toh nhi hai tuje........toh tu shopping pe kaise aaya.........?

Ma-Tu tera kaam kr na........

Soon they reached and conducted their meeting with Khurrana and Nandini was busy in her shopping. She had to check every section so that she doesn't forget anything. She had filled 3 cart only with household things.

She prefers to buy vegetables from vendors but ryt now they needed all that so she even bought  vegetables from the mall. She bought lots of biscuits and chips,Maggi n instant pancakes batter so that atleast till they settle they can have that in breakfast.

Manik's hour meeting took more than the decided time while Nandini's other major time passed went at billing counter as the things were too much.

Doing all that she dragged her cart towards the car with the help of a staff member. He dropped the cart for Nandini towards the car and left. Nandini started loading the bags in trunk keeping in mind to keep the milk products bag at the front.

Doing all that she entered back in mall and now she was completely exhausted. She came in and sat the nearest bench available and was waiting for Manik. Soon she received his call and he said that he left now.

Nandini was resting on the bench and waiting for Manik when she realised that they need an iron too as she remembered their mrng incident of Manik's creased clothes.

Soon Manik reached to her and first they decided to eat the lunch. They headed to food court again and then Manik got their food. While eating Manik asked.

Ma-hogai sab shopping.?

Nan-haan......but we need an iron.......baki sab electronics toh hai na hamare pass.

Manik noted the list of electronics in their house mentally and then said.

Ma-haan sab hai........

Nan-okay......we need bedsheets too..... tumhara towel......napkins and all.

They were so tired that even after eating they didn't get up. After a very long break in which they talked abt Manik's meeting. After that they entered the electronics shop and Nandini was looking for an iron.

They bought that along with a shaving machine as Manik wanted one. Manik had asked her if she wanted her beater for cake but Nandini told him that she will get her old one from Chachi's house.

After that they Manik took Nandini to a shop where his eyes fell once and he wished to go there. Cmg there he reached towards his desired destination while Nandini was simply following him.

Manik started picking up earrings for Nandini as he wanted to buy something for her. He selected 4 of it for her and decided to buy that.         

While Manik was selecting that Nandini came at other corner of the shop. Manik found her and reached to her holding those earrings.     

Ma-kya hova?

Nan-I wanted one the footwear to wear in the house but now I am confused between the two.........Kaunsa lu...........

Ma-tumhe dono pasand hai toh dono le lo.........    

Nan-dono kaise.........

Ma-arey come on.....

Saying this he palmed her lower back and pushed her. Nandini was holding both the pair so it was easy for Manik to push her at the counter.

There was a queue for bill payment and Nandini was waiting for their turn when Manik excused her and came after a min.

Ma-yeh bhi........

Nandini looked at what he got and saw a tall mug. Looking at it she asked.

Nan-yeh kyu........?

Ma-hum ek hi cup mei chai peeyenge........    

Raising the mug to show her and hearing him Nandini said.

Nan-Manik you know mei chai nhi peeti........ coffee peeti ho........toh hum kaise share kr skte hai yeh........

Ma-koi nhi hum chai aur coffee sath mei dal denge.......n drink chaee...........

He showed her his teeth and saying "eeeeeeeeee" and Nandini made a bad face.  

By now they were at the bill counter and Manik paid the bill. Getting out of the shop they headed towards the Bombay dyeing shop in the mall. From there they bought all the bed sheets,towel,napkins. Finishing that they were finally walking towards the parking. Sitting in the car Manik asked Nandini.

Ma-hogai sab shopping?

Nan-nhi........

Hearing that Manik looked with horrified expressions to her and with wide eyes and then asked gulping his saliva.

Ma-ab kya baki hai........?

Nan-bartan.......

Ma-liye toh sahi......

Nan-yeh nhi........steel aur aluminium k........     

Ma-ab woh kyu chahiye......?

Nan-woh toh chahiye na.......mei saara khana non stick mei nhi banati ho......plus doodh k liye bhi chahiye hota hai.......

Manik understood her and said.

Ma-toh ab........?

Nan-tum muje waha drop kr do mei woh sab saman le kar aati ho........tum ghar jao and empty the bags from car as much as you can.........

Ma-tum akele kaise jaogi.......?

Nan-I would have told you to wait but that place is very old and narrow.......tum itni der gadi leke waha nhi ruk skte........beside you are tired so go home and rest.

Ma-are you sure?

Nan-yes...........

Manik drove as per her instructions and found him stopping his car at an old market type of place. Nandini took her bag bidding him bye she got down and Manik left for their home.     

Nandini boughts lots of utensils as per her convience and they headed to home. An hour back Manik had reached home and parking his car he got down and opened the car trunk to find lots of bags. Seeing that he automatically said.

Ma-WOAH!!!!!!!!!! These are too much.......      

Scratching his temple with his thumb nail Manik fisted as many bags as he could and walked toward the door. He placed all the bags close to the door and locked his car once he was done emptying his car.

Then he opened the house and transferred the bags to the opposite side of the door and locked the house. Again he carried the bags to the center of their living room and once done he fell on couch.

Nandini was in auto going back home. There was moving traffic and she was hell tired toh somewhere she was getting rest. She reached home. Paid the fare and picked the bags. She entered the house by opening the door with her keys as she knew Manik must be tired.

She came in to see Manik fast asleep. She slowly kept the bags along with other bags and sat on the sofa being tired. It was just a little time both were resting silently but in that utter silence Nandini's phone roared and Manik got up.

And in reflex of phone ring Nandini quickly tried to pick up the call but Manik woke up by the time. It was Chachi calling and Nandini talked to her. Chachi was asking her if she is okay in the new house and all.

She said her she was missing her. Nandini too told her that she had gone to shopping and is very tired so they ended the call quickly while Manik was waiting for her call to end. Done with that Manik asked.

Ma-tum kab aayi?

Nan-10 mins before........tired.......?

Ma-hungry........

Nan-mei biscuits lai ho........2-3 din ussi se kaam chalana padega.

Saying this she got up with great difficulty and started finding biscuits in the shopping bag. While Nandini was busy in that Manik asked her.

Ma-tum pura shopping mall hi le aayi........ kitni saari bags thi.........

Nandini found the biscuit packet. She came beside him and fell on the couch. She opened the packet along with replying.

Nan-itna saara saman chahiye hi tha toh mei kya krti..........it's stupidity to buy half of the things even when I was there and available with time and money.........roz roz sirf mall k dhakke toh nhi kha skte na hum........

Ma-true that.

And both started munching the biscuit as they were very hungry.
