Chapter 3- Batain Ya Kbhi Na!

"Nandini? At least have some little food! You haven't eaten in days!" Chachi tried feeding me by holding the spoon near my mouth but I pushed her away.

"Am not hungry Chachi!" I said lowly looking down and Chachi sighed putting the plate away..

"Nandu kya ho gya hai? At least you can share? Itna tou trust krti hai na chachi pay?" Chachi pleaded and once again those eyes came in front of me..

Those chocolate orbs filled with pain, distrust and betrayal..

I was the reason of his death..

He died because of me...

He was calling me and no body told me...

He was screaming my name Jesy told me and I wasn't there for him..

Why you did that Manik??

Why you thought of me bad?

Didn't you see the love in my eyes I had for you?

After his death news I fainted in my apartment. Luckily Chacha rescued me on time because he had came to visit me and found me fainted..

It's been 10 days of that horrible news and I was mourning as if I had known him since years..

"Cha-chi!" I sobbed remembering him and Chachi held my hands..

"Ma-manik!" I sobbed his name and hugged Chachi so tightly. She too was crying with me..

"Manik who?" Chachi spoke in a confused tone and I cried more..

"Every-thing! He was my everything!" I hiccupped and this shocked Chachi..

"Was? Where is he now?" Chachi asked breaking the hug and my lips trembled when I tried to muster up the courage to say those words..

"He...he...is...he is...de..dead! Us ny sui-suicide kar li!" The words escaped my lips and once again I felt like my everything collapsing around..

"Oh Nandu!" Chachi sighed taking me back in her arms and I again cried..

I wasn't a love sick teenager who would cry on her breakup but this thing had shook me..

Manik destroyed me...

The beautiful snow flakes gathered around my dark red heels and I didn't bother to shove it away.

20 days...

It's been 20 days since his death and where am I? Why am I still alive?? I should be dead by now..

The snowflakes were beautiful but when my heart was so sad how can I feel anything beautiful?

This evening I got ready in a dark red dress, dark red heels, red upper coat and dark red lipstick..

Why am I out tonight? That too in this attire?..

His words echoed in my ears and I stared at my reflection in the muddy water of a puddle..

More snow gathered around my shoes and over my shoulders. Taking a deep breath and forgetting everything for few minutes I walked towards the night club.

As soon as I entered the pub the sharp aroma of alcohol and drugs hit my nostrils making me feel dizzy but I walked forward towards the bar..

"Hey doctor Murthy!! What's up??" Jonathan the bar tender shouted through the loud music and I gave him the most flirtatious smile ever..

Ahhh how cheap of me! What have you done to me Manik...

"I want to get drunk tonight John! Gimme the most hard shot so that I lose everything!" I shouted back and John laughed..

Fifteen shots and I was all the way drunk...

Noting was making sense...

I stumbled towards the dancefloor and almost fell on a boy .

"Hey beautiful! Careful!" The boy said and this night I didn't push him away instead pulled him closer by encircling my arms around his neck.

"Hey handsome? What's your name?" I asked slurring totally drunk and he held me by holding my waist..

"Veer! Indian yeah!" He said with a smirk and I chuckled..

"Am Nandini! You are hot Veer!" I said leaning close to him and he jerked me more closer..

"Would you like to have a dance with me Nandini?" Veer said sliding his finger over my lips and I pushed his hand away..

"Sure!" I said wriggling out of his grasp and swayed my hips along with Veer. He was dancing right behind me and I was going crazy..

The night had took me over. Knowing that it's my last night I wanted to do everything..

Suddenly Veer made me turn and I placed my hands on his shoulder.

Suddenly a voice came from nowhere and an urge of tears aroused in my heart...

"Your lips! I want to ruin your lipstick Nandini! Am going to kiss you!" I heard Veer saying and he leaned closer..

"Am going to kiss you Doctor!"

Manik's voice echoed around and I stared at Veer's face..

"No!" I breathed in a hollow tone and Veer stopped..

"What happened Cinderella?" He asked sweetly cupping my cheeks and I pushed him away..

"I...! I can't! Oh my God!! I just can't!!" I shouted as Manik's face roamed in my head..

The tears made my vision blurred and I made my way out of the pub.

"Maaaannniiikkk!!" I shouted his name as everything started suffocating me. I run insanely and reached a bridge..

"Kiun? Kiun chalay gye tum Manik?? Why? Oh God!!! Ahhhhhh!!!!" I was screaming my lungs out and the make up I had done was a mess now...

"Meri kuch tou sun lety! Aik baar! Oh God why does it hurts so much???" I shouted holding the support of bridge and hit my head with it.

I stared at the dark water which was flowing under the bridge and took off my heels..

This is the last night...

There is nothing left...

One...

I climbed the bridge railing...

Two..

I made myself ready to jump..

Three...

I was about to jump...

"Doctor!!!!!!! What the hell are you doing??" Someone shouted behind my back and in next second he pulled me towards him.

It wasn't someone...

It was...

It was Manik....
