In a beautiful & big room, a girl was sleeping peacefully, cuddling to her blanket & pillow, cosily.

Suddenly, a loud tone broke her peaceful slumber and she groan loudly at it. She starts finding the source of the tone and locate it under her bed, she pulled out that irritated thing and opened her one eye, to see what it is, which disturbing her sleep, since a while.

She founds it an alarm clock & frowned. As she didn't remember setting any alarm in the clock, forget setting, she didn't even have any alarm clock in her room. Then where does it came from??

She thought but later shrugged and switch it off as she was so lazy & so much in sleep that her senses didn't functioning properly.

She threw the clock somewhere in the room and doze off again.

But, before sleep took over her completely, she abruptly stood up, as she remembered something...

I screamed, waking up in my half slumber. As, I remembered that today I have to go to office, as an intern to learn this business field and the awesome thing is that, I'm gonna work under a 'Moron-handsome guy'.

"Excellent!! Isn't it!" (Hope you catch the sarcasm).

I got up from the bed and checked the time.. it's already 8, God. I have to reach there at 9.

Now how am I supposed to reach on time??

Shit!

I threw my sleep & laziness in the dustbin and almost ran into the washroom, to get ready. I don't wanna be late on my very first day & give that jerk of a man any chance to have anything against me. As I, very well know, how that jerk gonna make me suffer after that.

"Gosh! Nandini how can u be so careless on that!"

Don't you remember, what's that bastard told you yesterday in the room, with that teasing smirk on his face.

God! I so wanted to wiped that smirk off from his face.

"I wanted to kill him!"

Argh! Not now, Nandini. But soon, very soon!!

I hurriedly freshen up and take out my clothes to wear. After wearing them, I went up to the dressing table, to put on some make-up. Not very much, just a little bit. I never like too much make-up and show a fake me. I like to be real & love to face the world like that only.

I was combing my hair when my eyes landed on Manik's gift, which he gave me last night. I didn't open the gift yet, with a obvious reason that last night, I was so not in the mood to open it.

But now, curiosity peeps inside me and I decide to open it.

I unwrapped the box and open it.

After seeing, what's inside the box a small smile played on my corner of lips.

It was a beautiful golden-pendant chain, with a very tiny heart on it. I instantly liked it. It was so elegant yet simple. Just like my taste.

"Umm.. seems like Moron has some good choices!"

I giggle at my thought and shaking my head, closed the box & put it safely in a drawer.

I glanced at the time & increase my pace to get ready.

I quickly get ready and take out my bag, throwing some necessary things in it & grabbing my phone I went downstairs to have my breakfast.

While descending downstairs, I once again checked the time and thanks to god, I still have half n hour to reach there.

As soon as I reached in the dinning room, I told our cook to give me, my breakfast and after five minutes, my favorite bread toast with orange juice served me on the dinning table. I sighed happily & dug myself in food.

While having my breakfast, I started to look for Paa but couldn't find him anywhere, so I call the Butler.

"John, where is Dad, did you see him? Is he already went for office??"

I asked, our one of Butler(s), John. He is like a big brother to me. He is very sweet & calm guy & working for us since a very long time.

"Nhi bitiya, sahab apne kamre mein hi h abhi tak.."

He replied politely. And I nodded, dismissing him.

I finished my breakfast and went to check on dad. He usually had his breakfast by this time then what happened today?

I reached dad's room and slightly knocked while called him simultaneously.

"Come in, princess.."

Getting a reply from inside, I sighed in relief. And taking a deep breath, I went inside.

"Good morning, Paa."

I greet daddy, as soon as I saw him, sitting on his armchair, reading newspaper.

"Good morning beta. So, I see my princess is all ready to join the office. Great. I'm glad, that you listened to me."

Dadda greet me back & said further when he saw me all ready to go. Seeing me, in formal clothes, a very charming & proud smile spread on his lips and I felt so happy to see him happy.

"I can do anything for this smile!"

"Paa, how can I decline any decision of yours. I know you will always choose best for me. And you know Na how much I love you.."

I chirply said and hugged him, saying 'I love you'.

Dadda nodded & hugged me back and murmured 'I love you too, my princess'.

"Acha dad, aren't you coming to office today??"

I asked him, still hugging. I love to cuddle with him.

"I'll come after lunch, as I have a meeting in other company, & I need to go there."

He replied and I made an 'Ohh' face.

"Dad, I'm getting late. I'll meet you at office. Ok. Bye, see you soon."

I said when my eyes land up, on the wall clock of the room.

"Ok, bye princess. All the best."

Daddy smilingly said. And I mouthed a 'thank-you' & exit the room after waving him bye.

I took my bag, phone & my car keys before leaving the house.

I sat inside the car & took a deep breath.

"Ok, so this is for Paa!"

I thought and started my car. This line, landed me on the previous nights events, where dad convinced me to join the company & work under Manik.

Wonder, how I agreed to this??

Then, let me tell you'll....

"Flashback..."

I was getting ready for the party, after the quick shower, I did sometime back. When my phone rang loudly, I picked it up, without looking the name on the screen & as soon as I whispered a 'hello', I heard loud screams on the other side.

And I smiled hugely, recognizing the voices rather happy voices of my Friends!

"Awww, I really missed them!"

I also squealed in joy, when I realized that all my friends, were present on the phone, just to talk to me. We all started talking to each other, catching up. I filled them with all the happenings which happened with me since I landed in here. And they also told me the things which happened in London after my departure from there.

We talked & laughed a lot, over the random things & made fun of them. It was loads of fun talking with them. I had a killer talk with them. They all are my peace-maker & stress-buster.

"I just love them!"

I got so engrossed in talking to them that I didn't realize the time until the butler come & told me that Dad is calling me downstairs as the guests started coming already.

I quickly made my bye to them & disconnect the call. After that, I got ready hurriedly but still took some more time in going downstairs, after all I'm the main reason for this party. Toh thoda toh late hona banta hai.. hai ki nhi..hehe!!

I was on the stairs, getting down in my normal attitude pose when I noticed everyone was gawking at me with stunned expression on their faces. I chuckled slightly and started getting down with my now boosted attitude & composure. As their expression, make me approved my look and I got to know that I'm slaying tonight. Hehe!!

"Nandini Murthy charms' never fails!"

I came out from my thoughts, when I feel someone's intense gaze on me and when my eyes landed on that person.. I gasped internally, jaw almost dropped. Oh My..my..!!

Manik!

He is looking so breathtakingly handsome in that attire. Like a Greek god! Totally wowsome! I could feel a drool, in the corner of my lips. As I, openly checked him out not caring about the surroundings. My eyes didn't moved from him nor even blinked once.

"He is so tall & handsome!"

Shit!! What am I doing!?

Nandini remove your eyes! *nothing happened*.

Remove it baby! *nothing happened*.

I said remove it!! *nothing happened, again*.

Nandini Murthy. Just. Remove.Your.Eyes!

Finally succeeded!! Hassh!!!!

Then, I saw dadda staring me so, I started getting down again. I looked here & there to avoid his piercing gaze but he didn't budge his eyes from me, making it hard for me. Shit, man!

I get down and was on the last step of the stairs when I noticed Manik's facial expression, & I smirked when I saw him checking me out with his jaw dropped.

Then, I eyed him sheepishly but still he didn't moved his eyes, not even blinked it once. Then, something strike me and I looked here & there to check anyone noticing or not, when I confirmed that no one, now not looking at me not even dad, instead all emerged in talking with each other, I grabbed the opportunity and went closer to Manik.

I raised my one hand to close his mouth.. and said.. "Muh toh band kar lo, uncle!"

And just when, these words slipped from my mouth, he jerkily moved as if he was in a trance before and just came out from it.

And when my words registered to him, I laughed heartily and passed from him. But, turned to look at his expression. And.. hahahaha!! His face was priceless.

"It was so- so damn funny! Gosh!!"

I came to stand with Dad and he turned to me & smiled warmly. Then grabbing my hand, he took me on the stage and gave the welcome speech.

I smiled broadly when everyone welcome me in Indian style with rose petals showering on me. That thing, touched my heart!

I twirled around in awe when the rose petals started to flow down on me, feeling extremely happy n content.

After my welcoming session, dad took me to meet all the guest, personally. And I happily meet everyone. All are sweet & very good in person. They all also liked me, I thought.

I chatted, laughed and had fun with them. I told you dad parties aren't boring in anyway. He very well knew my taste! And moreover dad's friends are also like him, funny & full of life.

After meeting all, we stopped at the drink counter where Manik was sitting with his drink in his hand.

And I unknowingly smiled. I really don't know what's up with me, whenever I saw him a smiled automatically spread on my lips. Surely, he knows some magic, I think. Hehe, you are going crazy Nandu! Thinking nd feeling all the weird things in just one meeting.

Paa, introduce me to him and I eyed him mischievously as I thought to have some fun with the Manager of our company. Hehehe!.

And to my luck, dadda also left saying he had to do business talks with his friends & he knew I hate business talks, they're so boring. So, he left me with Manik.

After that, Manik ordered a drink, & I thought 'how sweet of him' as I thought that he ordered it for me but that jerk, order it for himself. Huh!!

And then he rudely spoke, if I want a drink then I should order by myself.

"The nerve of this man.. I tell u!!"

So much of a gentleman, nhi! 'Note the sarcasm'.

"You know what, this is really so bad of you. You treat your company like this?!"

I said putting my hands on my waist, angrily.

And he just simply shrugged... before saying. Bloody jerk!!

"Ohh, really... Then who misbehave with guests in their own party."

He said making a face. And I frowned.

"Misbehave?? When?"

I asked confused. And he gave me a look of are-you-kidding-me-girl. And I arched my eyebrows at it.

"Really, you didn't remember. God! Who called me 'uncle' sometime back."

He said frustratedly & angrily.

And as I heard him, I laughed. Hahahaha. Oh God!! He's still stick on that. But kuch bhi khao.. that was some good fun! Especially his expression! Totally Epic...! Hehehe!!

"What's there to laugh??"

I came out of my thoughts, listening his voice or rather pissed voice.

But seeing his face, I couldn't control and again burst in laughter.

"Haha.. y-your f-face."

I replied in between my laughs. And he scowled.

"Listen, just stop laughing and tell me why did you call me that infact how dare you call me that? Do I look like a uncle to you??"

He again said irritatedly.

Vo-"

I started to reply him but dj man's voice stopped me.. thank god, bach gayi..!!

"We would like to have Nandini Murthy on the stage, to roll her legs on the DJ plzz."

He said and Manik groaned. And I stifled a laugh.

I grinned & smirked at him before going on the stage.

The dj played a rock number and I swayed my legs, very sexily on it. After all, I'm a very good dancer.

After sometime, Manik came too on the stage and I don't know why.. I found it fishy.

I saw him with a frown and give him a look of what-are-you-doing-here and he simply shrugged. I continued my dance with my back facing him.

"What does he think of himself!?"

I'm enjoying my dancing when suddenly the atmosphere changed into romantic. And all the couples joined the stage.

I started going out from the stage as I don't have a partner. But, Manik stopped me, from doing so.

He held my hand & pulled me in his arms. I became startled by his sudden pull and wide my eyes, shocked.

"What the hell, are you doing?"

I yelled in angry tone, clenching my teeths. While he smirked. Bloody...!!

"Nothing dancing with my company. You know your father told me to take care of his little daughter. So, can't leave you any second.. akele mein kho gayi toh.."

He said in a mocking way, stretching the words 'little-daughter' and make a fake horrified face at 'akele mein kho gyi toh'.

And I huffed in anger and I could bet, the smoke is coming out of my ears right now, in anger.

He made fun of me!

He bloody made fun of me!

Me! Nandini Murthy!!

"You.. you. Just leave me."

I was about to scream bad words at him but stopped myself from doing so as I don't want to spoil the party & made some unnecessary gossips on tomorrow's newspaper.

So, I simply removed his hands which burning my skin & giving me strange tinglings, & of course blocking my senses, to kept sane.

"What the hell is wrong with me?!"

I turned to go, but again he held me and pulled me to himself hard.

I straight landed on his chest and I felt something strange in my body which I never feel, yet.

I could also heard his heartbeat which got uneven by our proximity, just like mine.

He looked at me strangely and we had a short eye-lock.

Then, he twirl me around when the lyrics fall into his ears & mine as well.

I gasped when he squeezed my waist, after helding me again. I looked direct into his eyes & find myself getting lost in them, deep. We both held each other gazes & continued to dance.

The song was a famous romantic number & we both dance on it, according to its rhythm.

While dancing, he touched my many unnoticeable places. And I felt myself, burning in different sensation. I felt sparks & electric current all over my body which I can't even describe. I tremble & shiver under his piercing gaze & intense touch on my body.

"Till now, nobody make me feel all this!"

The closeness of ours, made my heart beat increased rapidly. It's giving me goosebumps all over my body but all this didn't making me uncomfortable at all.

Strange??

But it's a truth. I'm very much comfortable in his arms and deep down I'm feeling complete. That, I didn't need anything if I was in his arms. I never felt these types of thoughts & sensation in my body & mind.

Today, my body surprises me, by feeling all these alien type of feelings which I never thought my body could had.

I was so much lost in his eyes & my thoughts that I didn't realize when the song ended. I came out from the trance when I heard loud noises of claps.

I realised Manik also got back to earth that time only, as he jerkily steady me on the stage & maintain a good amount of space between us.

As much as I wanted the same but I couldn't deny the fact that I felt incomplete & hurt because of his move. As I lost the warmth of his body & that different yet beautiful feelings his hands & intense gaze was giving me.

I wanted to go back in his arms and stood that close with him again.

Damn! What am I thinking!?

I took some deep breaths to calm my hormones. And clutch my hands tightly.

Then, I realized that we were only on the stage left & everyone looking at us.

God! That was awkward!!

"You made my work easy, Manik."

Both, me & Manik, decided to end this awkward atmosphere around us & were about to get down from the stage when dad voice echoed in my ears and we stood on the place, utterly confused.

I looked at Paa, who come up on the stage with a big smile. And I frowned.

"Yes, you made my work easy, I was thinking to emerge Nandini in my business and make her learn how to work in this field but for that I need to make her ready for it, to make her learn how to handle a company. So, I thought to make her learn that under your supervision but I was confused that how you two get along but by seeing you both comfortable with each other, you made it so easy for me. Now, I'm sure you will make her learn all these things easily & perfectly."

Dadda explained himself, giving me a super shock.

What the..

Hell??!!

Seriously?!!

Did I heard, right??

How can dad think of something, like that??

I mean, I would love to join dad business but with under Manik's supervision, where the hell this idea came from?? I wanted to work under my dad not with this tall man here, standing beside me.

In the corner of my eyes, I saw him smirking at me. And I clenched my teeth in utter anger.

"Lambu, enjoying my situation!"

Argh!! I came forward to dad and eyed him, to show that how much of a pleased I'm, with his mind blowing decision. *Don't forget to note the sarcasm, plz*.

Dadda slightly laughed before putting a hand on my right shoulder, having me in his arms & said.

"We'll talk later."

He said, squeezing my shoulder, lightly.

I reluctantly nodded and left from there. As for me, the party was over.

"How, well my mood was ruined!"

I left from there in calm posture, as I don't wanna make a fuss & spoil my own dad's party.

I came to my room and started removing my accessories and freshen up quickly. I changed my dress into my night dress & started reading a magazine, placed on a table for killing the time.

I was reading a magazine when my door knocked, interrupted me. I stoop up to open it, expecting Dad.

But as soon as I opened the door, I proved wrong, it wasn't dad but Manik. And I wide my eyes.

It was totally unexpected!!

"Tum, what're you doing here. Huh."

I spoke, clenching my teeth angrily. As I again remembered dad's decision.

"Ohh toh someone is angry, haan."

He said, grinning.

"Told you.. he is a jerk, haven't I!"

"What do you want??"

I asked not really liking his presence, right now.

"You know, you really didn't know manners. Isn't the way to speak to the person who come to your room very first time & even going to be your 'soon-to-be-Boss', very bad."

He spoke entering in the room, himself. Without my invitation. Such a pervert man. And kya bola isne.. 'soon to be boss'.. my foot!!

"Ohh.. Hello, kha ghuse aa rhe ho.. huh. And kya kha tumne.. manners.. hmm, talks a person who enters in girl's room without her consent. And my
'soon to be boss' ka sapna lena bhi mat, Ok. Because that's not going to happen. So, stop dreaming."

I replied him sarcastically, folding my hands near my breast.

And I felt myself, smiling because of my smart reply.

But soon my smile vanished, seeing his laugh aloud.

I gazed at him, confused & he spoke.

"So much of a confidence, huh. Ok, then we'll see it, tomorrow morning. But remember, if you loose which I'm sure, you'll then Ms. Murthy, for your kind information, main phele se hi bata du.. you have to report at my cabin sharp at 9am, tomorrow. I don't like late comers. Clear?!"

He said in a warning & teasing tone.

And in response, I just roll my eyes. Huh! Samjhta kya h khud ko. I'll not work under him. Never!!

I eyed him angrily and he... padh lo kya kha..argh!!

"Oops!! I'm scared."

He said and went out of the room, made my anger boiled more. 

"I'll.. I'll not leave him!"

I was about to closed the door when that idiot again showed up, out of nowhere. Stupid, scared me.

"Ohh, I forgot this."

He said forwarding a gift box to me.

"What is this??"

I asked.

"A gift." He replied in a obvious tone.

"Gift. For me??" I asked surprised.

"Nhi, for your dad, de dena unhe, thk h... Of course, for you stupid. Party tumhare liye thi toh gift bhi toh tumhare liye hoga na.."

He replied in a 'duh-tone'. And I so wanted to punch him.

He put the gift box in my hand & flew way before I do something or say anything.

"Argh! Main isse chhodungi nhi!"

I banged my door hard.

I was watching TV, to divert my mind plus to keep my self awake, for the 'pending talk with dad'.

Dad showed up after half an hour or so after that idiot's departure and I stood up angrily, putting my hands on my waist.

I waited for Dadda to speak up and explain me his wonderful idea. And I guessed, he understood my thoughts and speak up..

"Ok, I know you're hell angry & all.. but listen to me first.. then decide yourself if I'm wrong or right. Ok??"

Paa said and asked me in a very sweet n loving voice. And now, how can I avoid it.

"Huh! He really knows how to tackle me!"

"Ok. Explain."

I said and sat on the bed again.

Dadda nodded and sit on the bed beside me, took me in his arms & rested his head on the headboard while mine resting on his chest.

Do I need to mention that.. I love to sit like this with my Paa. Damn! I'm melting now!

"Such a safe & beautiful place."

"Ok... See I really wanted you to learn how to run a company & to solve all the problems.. since childhood I never let u involved in this but now I think you can handle it & besides now I'm getting old & today or tomorrow I have to retire from it... then who will handle this?? You.. Na.. that's why I want you to learn all this as soon as possible."

Dad started to explain his point of view. But I interrupted him in between.

"Paa.. plz don't say like that, you're not getting old n all. Ok. My Dadda is growing young not old. Aur rahi bat mere business field ko learn krne ki toh I also want to learn & help you in business. So, that I can share your half burden but I want to learn & work under you, not with Manik, Paa."

I stated my wish, making an innocent face to convince him.

"But why what's the problem with Manik?? And besides I can't make you work under me, Nandini because I have to travel from one place to another, our business didn't allow me to stay at one place. You know that Na.. plus chalo man lo.. I'll take u under me then I have to be stick with you, boss you around, order you & sometimes scold you. And trust me, I don't want to do any of that with my little princess."

He said, kissing me on my forehead with so much love & care.

And I was like... "aww, my cute dadda!"

"Hmm..." I just 'hmm' absorbing my dad's love.

"And you know Manik is best for you. He really has some good skills in business. In tough situations.. he handles everything calmly n smartly. In fact some techniques I learned from him only. So, he's the best you can get, beta. And I'll also relax by this that my little princess is in good hands. So..now batao.. are u ready for it??"

Dad continued further and in the end asked me my decision.

Now, I'm in dilemma.. kya karu??

Waise toh he is a jerk but if dad has so much trust & confidence on him, then I can give a try to this & If I don't like work under him, I can say to Dad & quit anytime, haina!

Right! So, decided I'll give it a try.

"Ok, fine. As you say Paa.. I am ready for it."

I said after thinking. And Dad smiled widely.

"That's my princess, love you."

Dad said and hugged me.

I hugged him back and said 'love you too'.

After that, Dadda went to his room for sleep and I too slept, thinking what tomorrow's day gonna be??!!

Recalling the nights events make me so lost, that I didn't even realize when I cover the journey from my house to office.

I parked my car in the parking lot and come out. I double-check the time, to made sure that I'm on time or not. And to my luck, there is still five minutes left in 9'o clock.

I heaved a sigh of relief, before going inside the building.

"Let's face it, Nandini Murthy!"
