Avoid mistakes if any.

Nan-meine thik kiya na aap k liye dinner bana k.........aap ko bura lag gaya?

Manik was mesmerised by her sweet, cute, doubtful voice. He was complete blank which was scaring Nandini. Her panicking level was increasing and that was visible on her face that's why Manik came out of his admiration and said quickly.

Ma-nhi nhi.......you did good.

Relaxation seeped in Nandini and she gave him a faint smile. They left the house and reached office. The day at office was usual. At night, Manik came home and heated the food Nandini made.

He loved the food and he was happy, he realised that actually a ready made home food is a must but he knows that there is nobody that could make his dinner. He could appoint someone but he doesn't like it.

Anyways, after this awesome dinner, Manik slept. After 2 days. Manan were at office. It was some time before lunch, when Nandini came to Manik. Standing opposite to his table Nandini spoke.

Nan-sir.

Manik looked at her and she said.

Nan-aaj shaam ko aapko Sengupta's ki beti ki wedding reception mei jana hai.

Manik at first bobbed his head and then said.

Ma-yes i remember.......and you too have to come.

Nan-muje bhi aana tha?

She was so much confused on this, Manik looked at her, smiled and said.

Ma-yes........be ready by 7.30......I will pick you up.

Nan(hesitatingly)-sir.

Manik raised his eyebrows and Nandini spoke.

Nan-since I didn't knew that I have to come too........i am not completely prepared for it....... nhi mtlb mei mana nhi kr rhi ho........mei sirf yeh keh rhi ho........aap jaiye mei aajaogi.

Ma-okay.......see you there then.

Nan-yes.

With this they resumed their work. Manik along with Nandini ended his working day at 5.45 pm. They were in his car but Nandini got down mid way as her saloon was near. Dropping her, Manik came home. Relaxing a bit and stuff he got ready.

While Nandini did her saloon work, came back home, choose an outfit and then went to take a shower. By 7.30 pm, Manik was ready and had headed towards his car. Driving it by himself he reached the venue on time.

Meanwhile, by 7.30 Nandini was done with everything she just had to get into her dress. She quickly slipped in it, got prefectly ready, took her clutch and headed to reach the venue. She had called a luxury cab, so a Mercedes was waiting for her outside her building.

Manik mingled himself with the guest but at times his gaze fell on the entrance, hoping to see Nandini soon. Anyways after 45 mins of his entrance, he was talking to a business man and they were walking.

Walking walking they came to the entrance and the man started smoking, just them the cab stopped at the entrance. Inside Nandini paid the fare and got down in style. The cab did grab Manik's attention.

The girl getting down so gracefully raised his heartbeats and then turned Nandini, stopping Manik's world. While after getting down, Nandini looked at the hotel and saw its decore, then she fixed herself even though she was perfect and then took a step to enter.

As she took a step, she saw Manik over there. She smiled and walked to him. Manik was numb to see her. Nandini stood infront of him and started speaking.

Nan-hello sir.......sorry i am a bit late but not that late........aap bhi abhi aaye.......aap jaa rahe hai ?😱.........mei itna saara late hogai........par mei toh time pe ho.

Manik was lost in looking at Nandini's lips and Nandini was busy explaining him. They were bought back by the man beside Manik.

M-Manik.......who's she?

Manik came back to world and said.

Ma-aa Mr xyz she is Nandini my p.a....... and Nandini this is Mr Xyz.

Nandini gave a nod of acknowledgement to his presence and said.

Nan-good evening sir.

The man smiled and then they heard Manik saying to Nandini.

Ma-no Nandini you are not that late.

Nandini bobbed her head and then Mr Xyz said.

M-please carry on........i will join you'll soon.

Manik bobbed his head and turned to leave. Nandini very gracefully picked up her dress and walked behind Manik. She looked at the entire stairs decore and liked it too much.

They entered the hall again and got mingled with the people. Manik introduced a lot of people to Nandini and they did talk about business where Nandini gave intelligent answers, leaving behind an impression of both Manik and his company.

She was asked a few questions abt Manik as boss too and she replied abt that gracefully too. Infact being in the daze of him, she revealed her dreamy stuffs too but recovered back before there was a blunder.

Hearing praises of himself from Nandini was something new and lovable to him. Anyways, 2 hours got spent but nobody realised. At one point, it happened such, that Manik got busy in talking to someone and Nandini was standing alone at far.

She was busy looking at the decoration and was admiring it. Soon Manik came to her and asked.

Ma-kya dekh rhi ho?

Nan-the decore.........it's magnificent.......meine aisi designs pehle kabhi nhi dekhi hai.

Ma-Hhmm........they spent a lot of money in this.

Nan-hhmm.............jab aap shadi karenge na sir.........toh decoration ka kaam na muje pe drop kar dena........I will do the best decoration.......kyuki  mei toh shadi nhi krne wali na........toh mei aisa decoration toh nhi kr skti isliye.

Manik came extremely close to Nandini and said in a authortive tone.

Ma-tumhe bura nhi lagega agar mei kisi aur ladki k pass jao toh?

His closeness, his tone, his words increased Nandini's heart beats, she started feeling hot and nervous but one thing was clear that at this moment she doesn't have an answer to this. She got lost in Manik's eyes and saw him waiting for her answer. She faked giggled and said.

Nan-dinner.........bhuk lagi hai......dinner kar le.

Saying that she moved back and made distance btwn them. Manik was expecting a answer from her but now since Nandini moved away he chucked the topic for time being. Nandini made way to the food area and Manik followed her.

It was a buffet. Nandini took a plate and passed it to Manik, who took it silently. They filled their plates and came at a side and started eating. They hardly talked coz Nandini was still nervous after Manik's question.

They were eating silently when out of nowhere a girl voice came calling for Manik. Both looked at the direction and Manik recognised the girl, while Nandini frowned. The girl was making way towards them but stopped abruptly as someone came to meet her.

Since she stopped, Manik moved to meet her. His going away was not liked by Nandini. She couldn't move her eyes but can't do anything except from seeing them and hating this moment. What acted as a fuel to the fire was when Manik and the girl hugged each other.

Well she was just an ex client of Manik and nothing else. Seeing them hugging, laughing like besties and being unaware abt the world. Nandini finally mumbled to herself.

Nan-i can't see him with any other girl........but I have to accept the fact that we can't be together.........I can't and can't let him reduce the distance btwn them........we can't cross the line btwn our professional relationship and friendship.........it's okay Nandini.......let him hug her........let them mingle........it's good for Manik sir only.

Saying that she kept staring at them and was eating. It was hurting her but she was trying to accept the fact that she can't be with him. Manik joined her soon and found something different in Nandini he asked her.

Ma-are you okay?

Nandini was aware about what he was talking but then said.

Nan-yeah everything is okay.

Ma-are you sure?

Nan-yes.........

Then Nandini tired to divert her mind, it took time but she managed to get better. Post dinner they joined the reception area. After having some conversation, Manan came on the stage.

The married couple knew Manik so it was easy for them and seeing Nandini with Manik they analysed her to be his p.a. Anyways Nandini hugged them bride and shook hands with the groom. Then they had a picture clicked and came down.

Again coming down, they were busy in meeting people as more guest were coming. Manik was so much busy in meeting that he was not aware of the time. He realised the time when Manik accidentally saw Nandini covering her yawn.

She yawned when nobody was around them, that's why when Manik saw her, he said seeing the time.

Ma-it's quiet late........sorry I didn't realise the time.........should we leave.

Nan-no it's okay........you might be having work.

Ma-it's not important.........we can leave.

Nan-okay.

Manan bid adieu to the host and left. Walking towards his car, Manik spoke first.

Ma-tum itni expensive cab mei aayi?

Nan-haan.........it will show that how good you are paying to me.........ismei aap hi ka faida hai.

Manik simply bobbed his head and they reached his car, Manik unlocked his car and Nandini said.

Nan-aaj driver kaka nhi hai?

Ma-nhi aaj mera gadi chalane ka maan tha so I drove it.

Nan-ohhh.

Now that Manik was driving, it was obvious that Nandini can't sit at the back. She sat beside him and both were very casual abt it. Manik drove and they were quiet while the whole ride. The radio was later on. Manik dropped Nandini and came home.

A few days later. Nandini made Manik's breakfast and then sat on the couch. Manik came home post work out and found Nandini to be nowhere. He got ready for the office and came down still Nandini was nowhere to be seen. He looked around everywhere and then said to himself.

Ma-Nandini aayi nhi?

But then he saw the breakfast ready so he said further.

Ma-breakfast toh ready hai that means she is here but then where is she?

He looked around carefully now. He found her fast asleep on the couch. He frowned and came to her. Seeing her sleeping so deeply he said.

Ma-so gayi........aise toh kabhi soti nhi hai......

Then he started waking her up. After a little efforts Nandini woke up. Seeing Manik, she got up and apologised and came in the kitchen. She washed her face and served the breakfast.

It was a bit weird but Manik didn't say anything. They came at office and were working. It was 4.30 pm, Manan were busy working, out of no where Manik spoke.

Ma-Nandini get me a cup of coffee.

Nan-yes sir.

Saying that she got up and headed towards the exit. Manik saw her and screamed.

Ma-NANDINIIII..........

He screamed so suddenly that Nandini got scared. She stopped immediately while Manik came behind her, cupping her shoulders from back he said.

Ma-don't go..........you have spoiled your dress.

Nandini's eyes got wide as she knew what he is talking about. She moved away from Manik's hold and looked down being embarrassed. Manik spoke avoiding eye contact with her.

Ma-stay here........i will arrange something's for you.

Then without waiting for her answer he left his cabin. Nandini was highly embarrassed. It took time but Manik came with a paper bag. He gave her the bag and said.

Ma-go get changed.

Nandini entered the washroom and got changed, from her napkin to her clothes and then she came out. Manik looked at her and said to lighten up the weird atmosphere btwn them.

Ma-it's okay.........you don't have to embarrass yourself.

Nandini just bobbed her head and then said with hesitation.

Nan-now that you know........I am in my cycle.........I'll just tell you........subhe jo mei so gayi thi woh bhi unintentional tha......... I didn't intend too.

Manik bobbed his head and said.

Ma-If that's the case you could have asked for a leave it's not a big issue.

Nan-that's okay sir.........it's not a major problem.

Ma-you can go home Nandini........you should take rest.

Nan-nhi sir aap tnsn mat lijiye aisa kuch bhi hoga toh mei aapko khud bolungi.

Manik bobbed his head and then Nandini said.

Nan-I will get your coffee.

Saying that she left without listening to Manik. Then the rest of the day went on well but there was a bit of awkwardness btwn Manan the whole day.
