Now that Manik had played the boss card, Nandini had no option but to accept the keys. She took the keys and looked at it. She was in a tiff, while her gaze was fixed on the keys, resting on her palm. Any which ways she had to take it and that's why she took it. She turned to go, that's when Manik stopped her and said.

Ma-I will message the address to you and yes.........for today you can leave at 8'o clock, you can carry on my night work from tmrw.

Nandini simply bobbed her head and came to her desk. She completed the work in the remaining time. It was 8.00 pm when she got up from her chair, without winding up her work. She came close to Manik's desk and said sweetly and meekly.

Nan-sir.

Manik looked at her and Nandini said.

Nan-anth baj gaye hai........mei jao?

Manik looked at the clock and then said looking back at her.

Ma-haan tum abhi tak gayi nhi?

Nan-haan woh I was leaving.

As she was talking, Manik's gaze fell on her desk and saw all her work spreaded, he looked back at her and cut her off.

Ma-but your work is all open.

Nan-haan........I was just asking........if there is a need to stay back than I can.

Manik liked her dedication towards her work. He was proud of her but he didn't let himself loose in her and then said.

Ma-no no........you can leave........your today's work time is over........infact you should have come to inform me that you are leaving....... abhi tumhe nikalte nikalte 8.15 hojayegi.

Nandini just nod her head in acknowledgment and than said.

Nan-aap nhi jayenge........?

Ma-I have a little work and then I will go home.

Nandini again gave a single nod and then spoke.

Nan-toh jaane k pehle mei aap k liye kuch le aao........coffee ya kuch?

Manik smiled and said.

Ma-no thank you Nandini.......you can go home freely.

And then he gave her a warm smile. Nandini passed him a small smile and turned around. She wrapped up the mess on her desk, stuffed her bags with her charger or stuffs like that and picked up her bag to leave but before she could place her bag on her shoulder Manik spoke.

Ma-Nandini........ek cup coffee bana dogi.

Nandini nod again.

Nan-yes sir.

Kept her bag on the chair and left to bring him a cup of coffee. When she came out, she saw maximum percent office was empty and dark. Only few OT employees were working. She made him a nice coffee and came back. Nandini came in the cabin and placed his mug close to him and said.

Nan-sir aap ki coffee.

Manik looked at the coffee and said.

Ma-thanks.......and sorry meine tumhe suddenly coffee ka bola.

Nan-arey ismei sorry ki kya baat hai........aap toh mere boss hai........aap kabhi bhi kuch bhi mang skte hai.........after all I am here to complete your demands.......like this is not a demand........mtlb you are paying for this....... mtlb yeh sab k liye aap pay nhi kr rhe hai........ mtlb yeh toh mere job ka hissa hai.......so it's a big deal........aur coffee ka kya hai........ek cup coffee hi toh banani hoti hai........aise bartan mei dhood dala cheeni aur coffee........fir woh khud se hi toh ubalti hai.........muje kaha kuch krna tha........so basically.......aap kuch bhi mang skte hai........

While she was saying so much, Manik turned his chair to look at her completely and rested his elbow on his table among with rubbing his chin and hearing her. When she said the last sentence, Manik spoke immediately.

Ma-jaan bhi mang skta ho?

Nandini being in that talkative mood, Nandini immediately said after him.

Nan-haan jaan bhi.

After saying this Nandini realised what she said and stopped abruptly and then she said.

Nan-aap jaan bhi mangege?

Ma-haan zarurat padi toh.........itna toh tum kr rhi skti ho na.

Nandini was damn confused now listening this and seeing her expressions Manik started laughing. Seeing him laughing, Nandini understood his little prank and her expressions were like a dumb girl.

Manik laughed his heart out which was seen by Nandini. She started admiring his laughing state. His voice, the way his body moved, the way his lips spread. A smile appeared on her lips seeing him like that.

Both didn't realise the time in laughing and admiring. After a long laughing session, Manik turned to look at her. Now that Nandini knew he is seeing her, she immediately straightened her expressions before Manik could see. Manik didn't see her admiring him. Looking back at her, Manik said.

Ma-ek baar shuru hojati ho toh ho hi jati ho...... thoda break bhi laga liya karo.

Nandini passed him an embarrassed smile and then there was silence btwn them for a min. After this silence Nandini spoke.

Nan-mei jao?

While she was asking that, Manik was sipping his coffee so taking a half sip, he said.

Ma-yeah yeah........go ahead.

Nan-okay.......thank you.

Saying that she came and picked up her bag, put it on her shoulder and soon opened the door, before leaving the cabin, she turned to Manik and said.

Nan-good night sir.

Hearing him Manik looked at her and said.

Ma-good night.......see you tomorrow.

Nan-see you tomorrow.

Saying that she left, while Manik got busy in work. She came out of the office building and was walking. She wanted to walk a little and then take any vehicle to travel back home. Leaving the office, the office accommodation took over her thoughts and all the time while walking she was lost in it.

In btwn all this, she saw a vegetable vendor and headed towards for him, taking some variety and bulk amount of veggies, Nandini paid and decided to take an auto. Luckily she got one very quickly. All the way she was busy in the flat thing only.

She reached home, got fresh and than cook food. For a good time period, she didn't think abt the house, she ate food and made Manik's schedule for tomorrow. After that she was on her bed post changing in her night wear.

While after Nandini left, Manik got busy in work for an hour now but suddenly his mind recalled his whole day with Nandini and a smiling smirk touched his lips. Manik stopped his work and admired her completely. After a 15 mins of admiration, he continued his work but soon his driver interrupted him and requested him to leave for home.

That's when Manik looked at the time and realised it was quiet late. Wrapping up his work, he left for him home. While way back to home, he messaged Nandini, the address of the new flat and got lost in the city lights but soon his phone rang. He looked at the caller id and smiled. Picking up the phone he spoke.

Ma-dad!

Mr m-arey wah.......bada hi khush lag rha hai aaj tu.......kya pyaar vyaar hogaya hai?

Ma-daaaddd!

The driver smiled knowing the relationship of the father son duo, while Mr Malhotra said.

Mr m-bacchu.......apne dad se kuch chupa nhi payenga.

Ma-put a break on your thoughts dad.......I am just relaxed........I got a p.a so I am quiet relaxed.

Mr m-ohhh aacha........aacha yeh bata......p.a ladki hai?

Ma-haan.

Mr m-single hai?

Manik knew where this is leading that's why he spoke.

Ma-daaadd!

Mr m-arey bol na.

Ma-haan single hai.

Saying that Manik got lost in Nandini and heard Mr Malhotra's next question.

Mr m-beautiful hai?

Being in daze Manik said.

Ma-bahut.

Mr Malhotra heard that and Manik instantly realised what he said so he tried to cover it up but couldn't and Mr Malhotra said from the other side.

Mr m-chupa ne ka koi faida nhi hai beta...... tera baap ho mei.

Manik simply smiled and said.

Ma-I miss you dad.

This made the air btwn them a bit emotional and Mr Malhotra said.

Mr m-I miss you too son.

Ma-till when are we going to stay away dad....... I feel alone at home now.

Mr m-issi liye kehta ho k shadi kr le.......dekh mei aur teri maa

Ma-sath mei aache pal betaye hai.......aur aap k pyaar ki nishani ho mei.........yeh sab pata hai muje.........i am talking about us for now dad.

Mr m-haan muje pata hai........but you need to realise........k mera hona ya na hone will not fill the place of a life partner in your life......ek ladki ka zaruri hai hamari life mei rehna.

Ma-i understood dad........but you know....... that i need a girl like mom.......aur aaj kaal waisi ladkiya milti nhi hai.

Mr m-nhi milegi.......kyu ki tune waisi ladki dhundi hi nhi hai........ab fir waisi ladki tere samne prakat hojaye toh hai.

Ma-dad not now please........i am very tired to have this conversation.

Mr m-okay.......chal yeh bata.......abhi dinner kya karega.

Ma-dekhta ho.......ya toh fir bana lunga kuch pasta ya kuch.

Mr m-hey bhagwan........meri bahu hoti toh tuje desi khilati kuch.

Ma-daaadddd not again.

Mr m-okay just pulling your leg.

Then they had a casual conversation, they ended the call when Manik was abt to enter the lift. Manik reached home, open the house and as usual it was silent and empty. Manik simply walked in, removing his coat, got changed and came in the kitchen to look for food or something.

Having his dinner by cooking some easy pasta, he ate and came on bed. Going through his mails in his phone for a while. Manik laid down and slept soon.

While Nandini received Manik's message and realised the locality to be posh. One thing was clear that it was close to his house but she was still not ready to move into it. Having different thoughts to it, Nandini slept, putting an alarm.

Next morning, she woke up with her alarm, quickly cleaned her house, had her morning tea as she had to eat her breakfast with Manik, cooked lunch, got ready for office, filled the tiffin, took every important thing and left to reach at Manik's place.

Today Nandini was not too early, which is why, when Manik left for his morning walk, the house was empty just like at the night. Nandini reached on her time and immediately made way to the kitchen to prepare his breakfast according to his menu.

She was completely busy in it, while Manik came back after 45 mins, he opened the door with his keys and entered in. Nandini didn't hear completely the sound of the door that's why she was not aware of Manik's come back.

Manik was expecting Nandini to be in the kitchen and like his expectations, she was there, working perfectly with her heels on. He opened the fridge, fished out a bottle of water and while opening his cap he said.

Ma-good morning.

Nandini turned around being a bit scared with his sudden voice and relaxed once she looked at him and said with a small smile.

Nan-good morning.

Then unintentionally she pointed at him with his knife. Manik who took his first sip of water stopped abruptly and asked.

Ma-what?

Nandini moved her head in no while Manik said.

Ma-bolo kya hova?

Nan-woh aap exercise kr k aaye hai aur immediately pani pee rhe hai.......aise nhi krte hai.......aisa krne se hamare organs damage ho skte hai.......hume ek break lena chahiye.

Ma-agreed........so mei lift se aaya na.......toh break mil gaya na.

Nan-haan woh toh hai.......mei toh bhul hi gayi.

Manik bobbed his head and than drank his water. Taking the bottle he asked.

Ma-nashta taiyar hai?

Nan-almost done.

Ma-okay.......I'll get ready and come.

Nan-okay.

With this Manik left and after he left, Nandini got back to her work.
