Birdo woke up to an alarm clock ringing. With her eyes only half open, she turned off the alarm clock and checked the time. It was 2:30 a.m.

Huh? Since when was there an alarm clock in this room, and why is it ringing so early? Birdo thought. I guess I should just go back to sleep...

Before Birdo could proceed with her plan, Peach eagerly barged into the room.

"Come on! There's a minigame meeting in the living room!" she stated. "No one can miss it!"

"Seriously, Princess?" Birdo groaned. "Why so early in the morning?"

"Because," Peach winked. "I've heard that people are often more honest during this time of day. So, attend the meeting unless you want to face severe consequences!" The peculiar princess exited the room.

After a good five minutes, Birdo pulled herself out of bed and went to the living room. Peach and the other contestants were already present.

"Thank you for cooperating with me on this fine morning," Peach smiled. "Let's get to Minigame 18. But first, you all must search the room for an odd-looking remote-type object."

"Does the object happen to be that?" Pauline questioned, and her eyes drifted to the left where Iggy was about to put something in his mouth.

"Yes!" Peach looked slightly disgusted. "Umm Iggy hun, may you press the button on that remote? Once we no longer need it, you can consume it."

Iggy shrugged and pressed the round red button on the small rectangular remote. A Princess Peach hologram appeared in the center of the room.

"Peach, how did you pull this off?" Rosalina whispered.

"I have my ways," Peach laughed lightly. "Besides, it's not like you can't make a hologram. Now, pay attention because this hologram won't be around for very long."

"Good morning, Mario Party 9.5 contestants," the hologram spoke. "I am here to deliver a message that was recorded several weeks ago. I hope you're watching this at an hour when the sun has not risen yet. People are always more honest in the darker hours of the day, and honesty is required for this minigame. So, please be silent. I will now explain what Minigame 18 is."

Peach's prerecorded voice became the most audible sound in the room.

Winning Speech

Description: ... What if your team became the MP9.5 winner?

How To Play: Each of you must PM me a speech that your character would say if he/she won this Mario Party. The speech can be funny, sentimental, short, anything you want! This is a time-pressure minigame so to win it, you must send me your speech as soon as possible!

Deadline: THREE DAYS AFTER THIS CHAPTER IS PUBLISHED.

If your team happens to win this Mario Party, I will combine the speeches you and your teammate sent me into one big team speech. This combined speech will be presented in the very last chapter, of course. Please participate, and make sure your teammates do too!
