Cabir groans – no please , you only pick them , my head Is blasting I cant

Manik angrily – cabir , are you kiddng me in next 30 minutes my parents will be here and you are complaining me about your headache should not have drunk much then

Manik scoffs – seriously cabir PMS

Cabir and manik then clean the whole room , because as manik's parents were out for someone's funeral ,manik used this as chance and threw a party inviting all his school mates to his house , resulted in beer cans on the floor and food wasted .

They hear a car honking sound , indiacting manik's parents have reached

Cabir went down to see manik's parents , they were all gloomy and with them there was a little girl , who was around 10 years,she was crying and in her hands there was a small stuff teddy bear

Manik – yes dad and sits on the sofa

Raj goes and sits opposite to him – manik we need to discuss something important

Manik – I know about my grades , chill dad I will score good marks in my boards and I have started my preparations also

Manik stands up and shouts – what ?

Manik – dad are you kidding me then let me tell you it's a very bad joke

Raj – manik we just want you to get married not act like couple you both will be legally married after 10 years

Manik shouts- no dad am not interested , and where are her parents are they stupid that they left her with you

Neyonika – they are dead and nandini's mom was my bestfriend and we decided that when you both will grow up we will get you both married , but they died their last wish was to get their daughter married manik

Manik shouts- no mom not even you , I thought you will support me

Raj shouts – manik behave she is your mom

Manik – exactly your my parents you cant do that to me

Neyonika cryingly – manik please for your mom , after this i wont ask anything from you

Manik heart softened when he saw his mother crying infront of him , raj and neyonika always pampered him like anything , he was apple of their eyes after all ,they were craving for a child and after 6 years of marriage they were blessed with him .

Manik – ok mom , only for you and hugs her

Neyonika smiles at him happily

Manik – but dont expect me to accept her in my life

Raj – we wont, you will be living your life normally when you turn 26 your responsibilities will walk up to you , but till that time I don't want anyone to know that you are husband of nandini

Neyonika – after two hours

Raj – we are doing this betterment of your son

Manik angrily –yes a child marriage is betterment of mine right very good and angrily storms to his room

Raj – no we are not , we are just tying them in knot but both of them are free till they turn up into adults after that they have to accept this as thier fate and I have to fulfill my promise to nandini's father , how is nandini doing ?

Neyonika sighs – not good

Raj worried – why ?

Neyonika – she wants to go to her parents , how shall I explain her raj it breaks my soul to see her whimpering for her mother's warmth

Raj – hmm that is why am thinking we will shift her school here in Mumbai

Neyonika – even I was thinking the same , but I wanted nandini as my manik's wife , but it will happen like this I never expected

Nandini pov – I want to go mom but uncle and aunty they say that we cant go to god until he call us , please god call me near you so that I can stay with mama and papa.i miss my mamma, she was my only friend .

Manik pov – how will I manage this , I said yes but now I feel that I have done the worst mistake of my life , I should have ran away but where and how , and dad would have found me easily and would have surely killed me after he found me , and that little girl does she knows that she is getting married , fuck that does she even knows what is meant by marriage , even I don't know but as far as I know when you get married your license gets dead you cant flirt with any girl , no dating nothing only wife .uggggh my head now what will I do ?

TWO HOURS LATER

As raj said everything was ready

Raj pov- I know am doing wrong with both of them , but you know god am doing it for their won good please forgive me god , my intention is just to keep nandini safe

Raj saw manik coming out of his room in his shorts and tshirt , and neyonika bought nandini dressed up in a cuete little pink frock , hair tied in pony

Manik saw nandini and cursed his fate – am the unlucky person on this earth , when she will grew up also I cant have her as my wife she will be a nerd and most important am not gonna tolerate her

Neyonika to nandini – nandini you love your mama and papa right

Neyonika – you know your mom and dad's last wish was to see you get married to manik , my son and points at him , who was glaring at her nandini quickly casts down her eyes

Nandini – what is marriage ?

Raj kneels infront of her –and manik is really a good boy you will have lots of fun with him

Manik – what ever I just want to get rid of this shit soon , I am going to cabir's house after this .

Raj shakes his head on seeing his son's stupidity , but he knows he is good from inside outside he is a tough shell .

Nandini holds manik's hand when the priest asked to manik held her hand it was soft like baby's and not like his mid rough ones , he was gripping it nandini wanted to release her hand but manik's one glare on her , she shut the struggle , he filled her hair line there was a weird emotion feeling in his heart , but for nandini it was a game to make best friend , last and final one manik made nandini wear a chain with NM locket

Nandini – now is he my best friend

Manik was going to reply a no but neyonika bet him answering him

Neyonika – yes you both can share anything you want , chocolates books , pens

Manik looks at his mom unbelievably , nandini was looking at him with a smile on his face . manik wanted to smash his face somewhere near the wall

Manik – am going to cabir's house I have to take notes from him

Nandini looks at him sadly – why didn't he take me with him

Neyonika – because you don't know how to drive a bicycle right , when you will learn he will take you with him

Nandini – can I get a bicycle tomorrow

Raj – ofcourse you will but now you have to eat and then sleep

Nandini nods at him happily

Neyonika feeds nandini with her ands and tucks her into guest room beside manik's .

MID NIGHT 11

Nandini was thirsty she got up in the middle , but found empty water bottle

Nandini – I will go down and drink water

Nandini walks down to kitchen and opens the refrigerator , but gets scared when she hears sounds of foot steps near the kitchen

Nandini scared – who who is there ?

Manik – you don't need to get scared its me

Nandini – you want water

Manik – no thanks

Nandini – what is your name ? my name is nandini

Manik scoffs –what ever I dont care what your name is my name is manik

Nandini smiles at him – I will call you manu

Manik angrily – no you are just a guest to this house , don't anger me and don't try to tell this to mom and dad because they wont believe you and remember you are an orphan

Nandini cryingly – am not orphan

Manik – you are those whose parents are dead they are orphans

Nandini cryingly – but you are my best friend how can you tell like that ?

Manik holds nandini's hands – see me and you and points to them we can never be best friends because on first condition I don't like girls like you , second I wont do friendship with you , now just shut your mouth and stay

Nandini pushes him angrily and walks away by saying – I hate you

Manik pov – stupid girl

NEXT DAY MORNING

Neyonika was setting the table , nandini and manik both of them were walking towards the dinning table

Neyonika – good morning

Manik – good morning mom

Manik pov – she cried a lot I guess , I should apologize to her hmm I will get ice cream for her it will be fine

Nandini – good morning aunty

Neyonika frowns on hearing that – nandini I aksed you to call me as mom right then why are you calling me as aunty

Nandini – because you are not my mom

Neyonika worriedly – who told you that am your mom ?

Nandini frowns – no am orphan , my mom and dad went away to god so am orphan

Raj and neyonika widens ther eyes hearing that , manik was now crying himself for not keeping his dirty mouth shut

Raj – no nandini you are not orphan , he kneels infront of her

Manik pov – shit if she opens her mouth you are so gone manik, I am sure dad will ground me for month

Nandini looks on at manik – no one told me I know it

Raj sighs – you are not and from here on never say that word

Nandini looks at amnik for another minute ,and here manik was praying

Neyonika – manik I was thinking that we will join nandini in your school

Manik shouts – no way

Raj looks at him suspicioulsy

Manik – I mena mom its very good , even cabir would be their to help her

Neyonika – good today she will join with you , if she likes the school we will shift her from delhi to here ,or else we will see other school for her

Manik pov – wait what if she does not like the school , yes got the solution to my problems

Nandini barely touches her food , manik was stealing glances at her

Neyonika – nandini you didn't eat

Nandini – am not hungry

Manik- mom we are getting late

Neyonika – wait manik , don't tell anyone about your and nandini's marriage and most important take care of her

Manik – sure , but I will go on my bicycle

Neyonika frowns – and nandini , we got here new bicycle but its better that you both go on car for today

Manik – chill mom we can use training wheels

Manik – ask nandini and looks at her , nandini does not answer him but gives him a cold shoulder

Nandini – aunty I can go

Neyonika was hurt when she used aunty again - ok but please both of you stay safe

Manik and nandini pick their bicycles

Manik – follow me ok

Nandini does no answer him and sits on her bicycle

Nandini was trying to cope up with manik ,and manik wantedly was increasing his pace he went to cabir's house , nandini was huffing by now .
