"Ofcourse, Tara is going to come to drop her mamma home",he said earning a big smile from Ekantha.

Ekantha got into the front seat and Tara jumped into Ekantha's lap, and started playing with Ekantha. Both of them were busy in their own world, and maybe that was the first time that Abhimanyu actually saw her radiating happiness from the time he met.

Life has always been rough, but moments like this just give the strength to come over anything and everything.

"Ammu, I might have to go to Vishakapatnam for a few days",Abhimanyu spoke out of blue gaining Ekantha's attention.

"Oh, when do you have to go?",Ekantha asked.

"Maybe after this weekend? I have a photography workshop to attend",he said occasionally glancing at her trying to read her emotions with his announcement while his whole concentration was on the road.

"That's... That's great! Enhancing your skills is a must do thing in this generation. How many days workshop is it?",she asked trying not to show that she would miss him or would be disappointed.

Would I miss him? Hell yes! But am I telling him that? Hell no!

"Maybe around two weeks. Are you visiting aunty this weekend?",Abhimanyu asked.

"Yeah, I have to! I'll leave on Saturday and return on Sunday evening",she said.

"Cool, we'll have a welcome party for Tara on Friday night and Saturday I'll drop you home, if only you don't have any problem with me coming over and staying there. We'll return on Sunday evening. Monday, you go back to work and I'll leave for the workshop. What say ma'am?",he asked.

"Seems like a plan, but Tara? Should I keep her with me while you are away?",she asked.

"If you want to, amma and Mayu won't have a problem taking care of her. You didn't say anything regarding me accompanying you?",he asked halting the car at her home while Tara tried to peek through the window to see where they were.

"I don't mind it, as long as you are fine. But you'll have to travel back to back. Think over it, you still have time",she said.

"If I had to think over it, I wouldn't say it only, Ammu and I know what you are talking about",he said holding her hands in his.

"I'll inform amma about it then. Tara, I'll miss you",Ekantha said kissing Tara on her head and patting it gently, while she snuggled into her more.

She handed Tara back to him while Tara looked at her with longing eyes, as though she was saying her to stay back.

"Bye Abhi! Take care of yourselves and drive safe! Love you",she said as she stood near the window.

"Love you too, Ammu! Come home tomorrow or let me know if you can't I'll bring Tara home",he said.

"I'll text you! Thank you once again Abhi! I don't know what would I do without you",she said giving him a slight smile.

"C'mon Ammu, That's completely fine! Alright you get back home now. We'll take leave too! You got work tomorrow and so do I",he said to which she nodded and glanced one last time at the two of the important people in her life at this point. Slowly, she took steps towards the flat and just like always he waited for her to reach the staircase and then drove back to his home.

These new feelings, were foreignly good. Though they did propose their feelings to each other, both of them still need to know a lot about each other and what's the hurry? When they have the whole life to do it.

Abhi and Tara reached home after half an hour, he took her in his arms. She was a bit reluctant but tried to trust him. Abhi and Mayuri were confused where do they make her sleep.

"What do we do anna?",Mayu asked.

"You go and sleep, I'll try to sleep here along with her",Abhimanyu said.

"Here? Are you sure?",Mayu asked pointing at the floor.

"She looks comfortable here! Also, it's a new place for her. Let me be here along with her",Abhimanyu said.

"As you wish, I'll sleep here too. Let me get blankets for the three of us",Mayu said and went to her room even before listening to Abhimanyu.

She came back with three blankets and Abhi laid down on the ground, just beside Tara, he wrapped her in a small wollen blanket, she just snuggled into it and laid there. Both the brother-sister were on either sides of Tara making sure she wasn't feeling uncomfortable or suffocated. Mayu fell asleep first, followed by Tara.

Abhimanyu didn't get to catch much sleep that night, since he was up he decided to do some editing work which was pending and also check if his enrolment was successful for the workshop. He stayed up the whole night, often checking on Tara and Mayu.

At around four in the morning, he decided to catch some sleep but to his disappointment he got a call from one of the clients.

Trying to calm himself down and not yell at the client for calling him at early hours of the morning. He answered the call and clarified the doubts that they had regarding things related to the evnt. They were quite concerned with everything since it was their daughter's first birthday and the parents wanted everything to go perfectly.

He just laid down beside Tara hoping he would wake up in a few minutes as soon as his power nap was done but slowly he fell into deep sleep. He woke up in a jerk hearing the loud music of morning prayers from the prayer room which his mother was playing. Sighing, he saw that Tara was already up and looking around. He realised there was no going back to sleep anytime soon now.

"Mayu, Wake up ra, I need to freshen up and leave to pick Rehman also",he said and slowly patted her to wake up. She just moved and turned to the other side.

"Anna, let me complete my beauty sleep, there's still time for me to wake up. You go and freshen up, please ask amma or appa to take her out for a walk",Mayu said in a slepy voice.

"If you are not waking up now, Mayu! I will pray to God you get the most difficult accounts paper in boards and your account will never be tallied-",before he could say anything more Mayu woke up and ran to close his mouth.

"You, idiot, stupid. Don't you know how to speak good words out of your mouth. I swear to Muruga if this happens I will pray something even more bad for you and if you remember or not God loves me more and my prayers will be answered quicker than yours",Mayu said and stuck her tongue out at him.

"Yeah , yeah whatever makes you sleep at night. Take care of Tara, I'll freshen up and come and then both of us will take her on walk. You'll be abit refreshed too",he said to which she nodded.

"Don't sleep again",he said as he went to his room and put his phone on charge. He had few unread messages. One message caught his attention which was from Vennela.

He opened the message.

Vennela [ Ammu's friend]
Abhi, I have something to talk! Text me back when you are free.

The text gave him some bad vibes, immedietly he texted her back.

Me
Yes, Vennela? All okay?

The message was delivered and even after he waited for five minutes there was no response from the other side, Shrugging he went to complete his morning chores as he had to take Tara on a walk and also start early to pick Rehman on his way.

He completed his morning chores in the next twenty minutes, dresseed in a pale yellow shirt paired with white pants. He checked his phone again but there was no reply, thinking that she would reply soon he put his phone in his pocket and wore the white shoes which Ekantha gifted him for the first time ever.

Along with Mayu he took Tara on a walk, in the nearby park. He kept an eye on her all the time. Mayu was playing with Tara, while Abhi was thinking about the message from Vennela all the time. Was Ekantha fine? As soon as the thought that something would happen to her hit his brain, he didn't wait for a second and called her.

Meanwhile, Ekantha was in a crowdy bus at the same time. She couldn't answer the call at that moment. She put the call on silent and mentally made a note to call him up as soon as she got down the bus.

Abhimanyu was getting restless, he wasn't feeling well. Nothing was processing in his brain except for Ekantha not answering the call and Vennela's sudden text. He was trying his best to think of the positive possibilities but his brain was betraying him very badly.

"Anna? Anna?",Mayu's words brought him back to the present world. Shaking his head off, he looked at her trying to figure out to be here at that moment.

"Yeah, Mayu? What happened?",he asked.

"Where are you lost? I have been calling you since forever!",Mayu complained.

"Uh, nowhere! Shall we go back home?",he asked with a small smile on his face to which Mayuri nodded excitingly. Mayu kept talking the entire way back home while Abhi had Tara in his arms. He was gently stroking her head while still lost in thoughts.

They reached home and he quickly had his breakfast, took his already packed lunch and rushed to the bike to start to Rehman's home. Just as he was going to start the bike, his phone rang and it was from Ekantha! Without wasting one more second, he answered the call.

"Ammu? Are you okay? All good? Were you busy?",he bombarded her with questions.

"Abhi, I am fine, all okay! No, I was in bus and it was crowded so I couldn't answer your call. What happened? All okay from your side?',she asked.

"Uh, yeah. I was just scared when you didn't answer the call",he admitted.

"You are becoming like me, I think! Don't worry, I am fine! Where are you?",she asked.

"Am I? It's good only right? Leave that, Where is Vennela?",he asked.

"She's in home, she said she wanted to talk something with you, when I was leaving from home. She said she wouldn't say me! I doubt if she is my best friend or yours?",Ekantha said to which Abhi chuckled.

"Yeah, she texted me she wanted to talk something and then after I replied, she didn't reply back so I called you and you weren't answering the call either. You both best friends got me scared for a while",Abhimanyu said as his heart calmed down after knowing the reason.

"Do tell me, what she says to you, okay?",Ekantha said.

"Depends on what she says",he said smirking.

"Not you as well, Abhi! ANyways, I'm in school now. I'll talk with you soon or text you later. I gotta go",she said.

"Me too, me too! Take care of yourself, Ammu! Good day, love! Love you",he said.

"Love you too, take care and drive safe",she said and hung up the call.

With a smile on both their faces, they continued to do their work. Even if its the first time or the nth time, hearing those three words from each other still bring butterflies in their stomach and Abhimanyu is no exception in this case.

Abhimanyu drove to Rehman's home and after picking him up, both of them reached offivce just in time. Since they had the birthday event that night. All of them had to go to the function hall and look after the things there coordinating with each other.

They were busy with all the arrangements till they decided to take a lunch break. He was getting call from Vennela and since it was break time, he excused himself and took the call.

"Hi Vennela",he said.

"Hi, Abhi! Did I disturb you? Are you busy?",she asked.

"No, no! Its break time for us, though we have an event tonight",Abhi said.

"Actually Abhi, first promise me you wouldn't say about this to Ekantha",she said making Abhi confused.

"I promise, what's the matter btw?",he asked.

Vennela says about everything.

"Are you serious, Vennela?',Abhimanyu asked her in...
