**Request for Nimue_Sword where Peter attends a high school reunion and catches up with some old "friends". I am a sucker for reunion stories, so this was so much fun for me! Enjoy!!**

The life of a CEO/celebrity/superhero was a busy and... well, hectic. When Peter wasn't running between budget and board meetings, sitting through boring interviews, or swinging his way through the city, he was trying to spend time with his wife, MJ.

"I'm home," Peter called as he kicked off his shoes. The couple had taken up residence in the apartment below Tony and Pepper's in the Tower. "Sorry I'm late, the meetings this morning got pushed because of the late night patrol and that threw off the whole day."

MJ came around the corner and gave Peter a gentle smile. "Hey, babe. No worries, I understand how busy a day can get."

Peter followed her into the kitchen, where he found dinner waiting. He gave MJ a kiss on the cheek and picked up his plate, leaning against the counter. "How was your day?"

"Fine, but busy," MJ said. She was a policy analyzer for the company, working on the implementation of legislative regulations. "I did get the mail, though, and there's something you should see."

MJ pulled an envelope from behind her on the counter and handed it over. Peter was surprised to see the old Midtown High emblem on the front, but ripped it open all the same.

"It s a reunion. We're invited to our 10 year reunion already."

"I know," MJ said dryly. "We're all of 28 and not a life to brag about between us."

Peter chuckled, but put the invite back down on the table and grabbed a pen from his pocket "Well, it'll be good to see people again." He checked off the 'Accept' box and marked down a plus one.

The theme was "best years of your life" and everyone was dressing like they were still in high school. Ned had dug out an old Star Wars shirt, and MJ was carrying her sketchbook under one arm, and Peter was wearing a school sweater that felt like a cloud compared to his usual suit and tie.

But Peter and MJ weren't thinking about how more recognizable they were now. Peter's face was all over the front page, all the time, and when they had gotten married? MJ's face was almost always plastered on the papers next to Peter's.

As soon as the two walked in, they were swarmed with old friends.

Abe and Cindy and Betty and-

"Flash," Peter said cordially. "It's good to see you."

Flash held out a hand and Peter took it in a firm grasp. "I didn't expect you to be here, honestly. I've seen how busy you are."

Peter laughed. "Wouldn't miss it for the world. I may have been the school nerd, which is really saying something, but this is where I met MJ."

MJ smacked Peter's shoulder lightly, but her face was hard and impassive. "So, Flash, have you grown up at all? Or are you still convinced that Peter is a lying loser with no other purpose than to be kicked around?"

Peter went red. "MJ, please. Don't do this now, we can-"

"Actually, I wanted to speak to you about that." Flash put a hand behind his neck, rubbing it in a nervous manner. "I was a jackass when we were kids. I've had a lot of time to reflect on that time in my life, and I think I was feeling incredibly lost and insecure. That doesn't excuse any of my behavior, though, and I wanted to say sorry for the way I treated you. And you, too, Ned."

Ned's eyebrows shot up to his hair.

Peter smiled at Flash, a genuine and real smile this time. "Hey, man. I get it. High school sucks for everyone. I appreciate your apology, though, it really means a lot to me."

Flash's whole body seemed to relax. "Good. I was so star-struck by Tony Stark, and we'd been at odds for so long, so when you said you had an internship, I just- it doesn't matter. What does matter is that I'm passed that phase now."

One of Flash's friends laughed. "Yeah, man, you even moved on from Iron Man. You had Spiderman sheets all of senior year."

"You were timing out when and where he went on patrol so you could 'run into him'," another friend chimed in.

Flash was red in the face, but Ned and MJ were laughing quietly.

"You were a big fan?" Peter asked, a smirk sliding over his face. "Did you ever find out who he was?"

"I had theories," Flash said. "I thought it was a student at Midtown for a while because of how frequently he showed up when we were around, but as I got older, I noticed he timed his patrols after the work day ended, not the school day. I figured he must be someone older, with a real job."

Peter smiled. "That's good thinking, I wouldn't have thought of that. Did you ever figure out specifics?"

"At some point, I thought it was actually- this is so embarrassing. I thought it was actually that kid who works at Stark Industries with Mr. Stark himself."

"Harley Keener?"

"Yeah," Flash said, waving his hand around. "He's always around right before and right after Spiderman shows up. Even now, he travels with you, right? And shows up over seas whenever Spiderman shows up and you get swept away for security, and then-"

Flash's eyes went round, and Peter couldn't hold in his laughter. "MJ, text Harley about this one," he said over his shoulder.

Flash's face was pale. "You? You- you- you're the- but I don't- are you?"

Peter gave Flash a sympathetic smile. "I don't know what you are talking about, Flash, but if you wanted to wallow me and MJ out to the car, we could talk more about it."

Flash followed behind MJ and Peter with a dumbfounded look on his face. "But- but- but- but-"

When they were safely outside of the range of prying ears, Peter turned back to Flash and gave him a winning smile. "So, have you settled on a theory for who Spiderman is?"

Flash was on the ground before Peter or MJ could move, out cold. Peter gave a bark of laughter and turned to his wife, who was laughing, too.

"Thank god we decided to come today."
