You were the newest recruit to the Avengers and honestly, you didn't like being a part of the team. Sure, there were upsides to being a member. You got to live in the Avengers tower, your own super suit, free meals, fancy parties thrown by Stark, and all that jazz, but you sure as hell missed working as a vigilante in lower Manhattan.

"Teamwork makes the dream work!"
Phil Coulson had said to you the day he and Nick Fury recruited you. But to you, that was a lie. You had been part of a team before. It was small, consisting of only two others. The team included you and your now ex boyfriend  and former best friend. You should have seen it coming though, with all the sneaking around and whispering they had done around you. You didn't want to believe it to be true, but when you caught him and your friend fondueing one night, you quit right then and there and ran off to Tahiti, returning a year later since you missed beating up bad guys. Upon your return, you hoped for a quieter, Daredevil-ly like life: Y/J in the day and vigilante in the night. Then, insert Phil Coulson and Nick Fury into your life who introduced you to the Avengers Initiative upon finding out about your vigilante work. One week later, you were officially an Avenger.

Sure, all of your teammates were as hot as hell and seemed amiable, (especially that Captain America according to Coulson) but your swore to never fall in love again. Too bad that blonde Asgardian fell into your life.

Thor. The moment he had laid eyes on you, he was in love. You were talking to Natasha Romanoff about combat tactics when he first saw you. She was the only Avenger you had really connected with. Thor walked up to you and commented on your beauty. You faked a smile and thanked him and he walked away, sorrowfully, noting your unenthusiastic mood towards him. You however, walked away in the opposite direction,  reminding yourself that you didn't need a man in your life.

However, Natasha Romanoff could see right through your cold façade. You had agreed with her that "love was for the children" but she knew you felt something for the poptart loving god. She noted how you treated the other Avengers compared to Thor. She observed how you tended to his injuries after the battle of New York compared to Steve (you told him to "suck it up grandpa" when he complained about the sting). And she saw the devastation in your eyes when he left to bring Loki back to Asgard. She knew you were in love.

Before he left, he gave you a F/F, and told you to never forget him and that he's back. You hid back your happiness when he kissed your forehead and left with Loki and smiling at you the entire time. You watched him with sad eyes, not tearing apart your gaze until he was gone. Natasha nudged you softly. You rolled your eyes and claimed "it was nothing" and she just smirked, for she knew your true feelings. She confronted you later that evening, hoping to get the truth out of you, yet you refused to say anything. You wouldn't admit to her that you were in love with him.

As soon as she left, you were internally screaming. You had learned your lesson before: to not fall in love; especially if that person was your teammate. You were angry at yourself, angry at the thought of falling for someone again, especially with what had happened before. I need to stop this madness, you thought to yourself. He was gone, meaning you could return back to your old routine without him haunting your thoughts, right? Wrong. You couldn't stop thinking of Thor. You spend your time wondering when he'd come back, if he was okay, and if he really cared about you. Three weeks later, he returned and you were elated yet you didn't want to show it. You still refused to admit that you were in love.

The rest of the team picked the fact that you loved Thor a few days after his return. They could tell by your actions. He was pretty much the only person you would open up to, besides Natasha. After her many attempts to try to get you to say your true feelings for Thor fell short, she got the team to help.

They tried absolutely everything to get you admit your feelings for Thor. They tried while playing Truth or Dare, 20 questions, and by having each Avenger talk to you individually-which was a mess. They even shoved you in a closet with Thor for seven minutes. He flirted with you the entire time, yet you still rejected your true feelings for him.

It had been six months since you met Thor meaning it had been six months of him vying for your love. The moment he had returned from Asgard, he immediately searched for you and when he found you, he didn't leave you alone. He was head over heels for you. But, you just weren't ready yet. Flashbacks of your ex and your best friend haunted your mind every time you thought of the truth.

You finally agreed to go on a date with Thor, only because Natasha said that you were breaking his heart. To your surprise, you actually had a good time-and you found yourself enjoying Thor's company. Natasha was right. You were madly in love with the Asgardian God. You ended your date with Thor kissing you on your cheek and giving you a F/F once again. You went into your bedroom, holding the flower delicately. You stared at it as you sank into your bed, a small smile creeping upon your face.
