Who is this Character?
Captain Mar-Vell was a member of the Kree, the alien humanoid warrior race which has forged an empire throughout the galaxy known as the Large Magellanic Cloud. More specifically, he was one of the so-called "Pink Kree." This Kree race had the same color skin as Caucasian Earth humans, and those Kree who belonged to this race were also more biologically similar to humans than blue Kree were. Their existence was the result of inter-breeding of many of the original blue Kree race with humanoids of other worlds, and they had come to outnumber, by far, the blue Kree, who, however, still dominated positions of wealth and governmental power in the Kree Empire.
The Supreme Intelligence, the computerized fusion of great blue Kree minds of the Empire's past that governed the Kree Empire for millenniums, had initially encouraged the inter-breeding in question because of its realization that the original blue Kree race had reached an evolutionary dead end and hence, being composed of blue Kree minds which it absorbed into itself by means of the "Supremorization" process, it would evolve no farther either. Though it had believed that such inter-breeding could have infused new life into the Kree gene pool, in recent years, it had come to believe that this was not having the desired result; the worst example of this was that it could not absorb pink Kree minds directly into itself.
The defeats of Sentry 459 and Ronan the Accuser caused Kree attention to be turned towards the planet Earth, where the Inhumans had been spawned by Kree genetic experimentation on some of the early natives. The Supremor now saw the spontaneous emergence of Earth humans who were possessed of super-humanoid powers, and realized the human potential for development of nearly limitless psionic powers. It thus formed a complex plan for the preservation of both the Kree Empire and its own governance of that empire. It would Awaken in an Earth human, the vast psionic power their species could evolve, Cause this Earth human's mind to be linked with that of a pink Kree, since, as mentioned above, they had greater biological similarity to Earth humans than blue Kree did, Forge a psionic link with these two minds, with an unusual plant, the "Millennia Bloom," aiding this, resulting in the Supremor acquiring almost limitless psionic powers but rendering both the pink Kree and the Earth human mindless and subject to the Supremor's full control, and finally, Destroy Earth, using the pink Kree and the Earth human as its agents, to prevent any Earth human with power matching its own from arising. Other factors in its calculations involved treachery by Ronan and Zarek intended to overthrow it. After causing a near disaster by framing a pink Kree for treason against the Empire, which they would blame on the Supremor after they had killed the supposed traitor, they planned to supplant it as Kree Imperial ruler. The Supreme Intelligence planned, even as it intended to foil that conspiracy, have the pink Kree pawn whom the plotters selected for it be the very pink Kree whom it would have linked to the Earth human.
Seeking the pink Kree who would best meet these many requirements of its highly complex plan, the Supremor found him in Mar-Vell, a captain in the Kree Space Fleet who was already a renowned Kree Imperial war hero, despite his youth. He was then in a relationship with a nurse in the Kree Space Fleet, Una; the Supremor was aware that both of these possessed humane attitudes and sympathies, which had been suppressed in most other Kree in their educations. Moreover, the Supremor was also aware of the unrequited love of, or rather the lust after, Una that Yon-Rogg, a colonel in the Kree Space Fleet, felt, and that he was ruthless enough to use any means of disposing of his rivals for her affections. Mar-Vell and Yon-Rogg despised each other as a direct result. The crew, under the command of Zen-Pram, were sent to retrieve the Kree Admiral Devros after he had ceased communication with the Kree. During their journey, the crew stumbled across a battle between a Skrull and Shi'ar fleet and Mar-Vell intervened in aid of the Shi'ar Empire's Imperial Guards against the Skrulls.
After that, Cal'syee Neramani, the Deathbird, a member of the Shi'ar royal family, informed the Kree crew on why they had gone to the Skrulls' space, which proved to have been because of Brood stealing their ships, before leaving. When Mar-Vell and the crew arrived at the planet, however, they were soon ambushed by the Brood, which a Brood-infected Devros was leading. Though Brood eggs then infected them, thankfully, Captain Mar-Vell, Una, and Colonel Yon-Rogg all cured themselves of the eggs and successfully escaped the Brood. After those events, the Supreme intelligence arranged to have a spy ship dispatched towards Earth, with Captain Mar-Vell serving aboard it, Colonel Yon-Rogg assigned as his commander, and Una serving as a nurse on their spy starship.
But soon after his arrival on Earth, Mar-Vell witnessed the death of Dr. Walter Lawson, a scientist on his way to his new assignment at Cape Canaveral, Florida, in an automobile accident. Coincidentally, Lawson bore an astonishing resemblance to Mar-Vell, so the latter decided to pose as him, the better to study Earth humans's progress towards developing means of space travel. While posing as Dr. Lawson, Mar-Vell first met the Cape's security chief, Carol Danvers, for whom he developed a special concern that, in time, caused him to experience love for her. Meanwhile, Kree Sentry #459, which the Fantastic Four had defeated, had been brought to the Cape for study, and Yon-Rogg, hoping that it would destroy Mar-Vell, re-activated it from his starship. Mar-Vell publicly appeared in his green Kree helmet and green-trimmed sky blue uniform to fight the Sentry, which he succeeded in defeating. Onlookers, hearing the Sentry call him by name, believed him to be a new Earth-born super-human adventurer named "Captain Marvel," and acclaimed him as a hero.
Mar-Vell confronted Yon-Rogg, who had abducted Carol Danvers as a hostage to use against him. Mar-Vell defeated Yon-Rogg, who died when a nearby Kree device exploded. But in the course of this fight, Danvers was bombarded with radiation from a Kree Psyche-Magnetron, which caused her to develop a half-Kree physiology that was similar to Mar-Vell's own; using the super-human powers she had accidentally acquired by this means, Danvers later became the first costumed adventurer known as Ms. Marvel. But unfortunately, owing to the unique properties of the Psyche-Magnetron, Yon-Rogg was himself resurrected from the dead, and he became an independent terrorist under the alias of Magnitron.
The lung cancer, "Blackend" in Kree medical terminology, that the Compound 13 nerve gas Mar-Vell had breathed in had given to him, finally took its toll upon him and became terminal. Mar-Vell's Nega-Bands had suppressed the cancer, but when it eventually mutated, the bands also prevented all known cancer treatments from working. Removing the bands would allow the cancer to advance much faster and kill him within hours. Although the best chance for a successful treatment would necessitate access to the Kree medical community, the Kree Empire's government considered Mar-Vell a traitor. Although various colleagues like Reed Richards, Henry McCoy, and Hank Pym attempted to conduct quick research for a medical solution, those efforts all proved unsuccessful. Mar-Vell spent his last days at his home on Titan. He died there, surrounded on his deathbed by his lover Elysius of Titan, Jones, the Avengers and various other friends. He was even awarded the Royal Skrull Medal of Valor by General Zedrao.

History
Before Mar-Vell's death, he and Carol Danvers had three children together, Dominic, Selena & Jase. The twins barely remember their father while Jase never met him.

Who is Captain Marvel?

❝Have you ever seen a little girl run so fast she falls down? There's an instant, a fraction of a second before the world catches hold of her again... a moment when she's outrun every doubt and fear she's ever had about herself and she flies. In that one moment, every little girl flies. I need to find that again. Like taking a car out into the desert to see how fast it can go, I need to find the edge of me... and maybe, if I fly far enough, I'll be able to turn around and look at the world... and see where I belong.❞ -Carol

Who is this Character?
Carol Danvers was born to Joe Danvers Sr., a former U.S. Navy officer and a construction worker, and Mari-Ell, a captain in the Kree Army. Mari-Ell had been sent to Earth on a mission to assimilate with humans and give birth to a hybrid child, but had decided to abandon her former life and cut contact with the Kree. Carol's name came from Car-Ell, meaning "Champion" in Kree. Danvers was raised in Beverly, a suburban community to the north of Boston, completely unaware that she was not an ordinary human. Over the years, her father became increasingly apprehensive for potential retaliation from the Kree for Mari-Ell's desertion, causing him to drink and become abusive. In part due to her Kree heritage, the young Carol dreamed of becoming an astronaut and traveling to distant planets, and as a teen she even hitchhiked to Cape Canaveral to watch a rocket launch. Her father, however, could not accept women as men's equals and Dismissing her need for a college education, he suggested her to find a good husband instead. When Danvers turned eighteen, she turned her back on her father and joined the Air Force to be a pilot and to get a college degree via the military. In the following years, she rose to the top of her Air Force class.
Having served ten years as a top field agent for Air Force intelligence, Carol Danvers was appointed security chief at Cape Canaveral on the request of NASA, resigning from the Air Force bumping her to full major at retirement. As a NASA security officer in the Lunar Receiving Laboratory located in Houston, she was involved in Dr. Peter Corbeau's Cavorite project. She was also assigned to watchdog Doctor Kronton's Doomsday Man project in the Pacific Ocean. NASA eventually requested her to transfer for an open position as head of security at the Kennedy Space Center, which she accepted. As head of security in Cape Canaveral, Danvers became embroiled in the schemes of the Kree Empire. Due to a Sentry #459 being deactivated by the Fantastic Four and taken into custody by NASA, a secret Kree operation assigned the spy soldier Captain Mar-Vell to get military revenge against humanity. Sabotaged by his superior Coronel Yon-Rogg, Mar-Vell crossed paths with a plane accident victim who worked at Cape Canaveral, the robotic expert Dr. Walter Lawson. Impersonating Dr. Lawson, Mar-Vell gained access to the installations where the Sentry was kept and that were also guarded by the suspicious Danvers. Yon-Rogg activated the Sentry to destroy Mar-Vell, forcing him to resist in his secret warrior alter-ego Captain Marvel. This fight led Danvers to be intrigued by Mar-Vell's two identities, the eccentric Lawson and the brave Captain Marvel.
Ironically, Captain Marvel became a heroic figure in Cape Canaveral, consolidating the admiration Danvers came to have for him after he battled the Super-Skrull and inspiring her to investigate her trusted hero. However, she was still uneasily unsure about Lawson's activities. When spotting Captain Marvel returning to Earth's orbit from Yon-Rogg's Kree warship, Danvers strangely found Lawson instead. Though Mar-Vell denied witnessing anything, Danvers insisted on investigating the landing site, where she became a target for Yon-Rogg. She was saved by Captain Marvel, who she attempted to convince to watch Dr. Lawson. Mar-Vell indeed investigated the life of the strange man whose identity he had usurped, and a thankful Danvers met him with a kiss following a conversation about Lawson. However, becoming closer to Captain Marvel put Danvers in danger. In the hotel room Mar-Vell lived as Lawson, she was abducted by one of the real Lawson's assassin robotic creations, Cyberex. Amidst a fight between Captain Marvel, Cyberex and the Aakon, she was rescued. Lawson's former employers in the Organization then kidnapped Danvers while she accompanied Mar-Vell, who was mistaken for Lawson. Captain Marvel helped Danvers escape one more time, by plotting against the captors alongside her.
Captain Marvel's eroded after he was forced to steal a moon rocket from the Cape in order to resist Yon-Rogg's constant attacks and to escape his former Kree brethren, which resulted in him getting arrest warrant placed upon him by the American government, much to Danvers' disappointment. She correlated Captain Marvel's betrayal to Lawson's erratic behavior and gave the order to arrest Lawson as well. Mar-Vell's double life was ruined after this incident. Eventually, he made his way back to Danvers and Cape Canaveral by helping her against the menace known as the Man-Slayer. Danvers still trusted Captain Marvel, but, despite his assistance, the surrounding military treated him as an enemy for the earlier treason charges. Their standoff was broken off prematurely by Iron Man, who had been controlled by the Puppet Master. Following the battle, Carol Danvers was hospitalized and Mar-Vell was forced to leave the planet. Upon awakening in a hospital, an obsessed Danvers fled in order to look for Captain Marvel when FBI agents came to question her about Dr. Lawson. Just outside the hospital, she was kidnapped by Yon-Rogg, who wished for a final revenge against Mar-Vell. Yon-Rogg brought her to an abandoned subterranean Kree outpost that hid a damaged Kree Psyche-Magnitron, a machine able to synthesize pieces of Kree-devised technology. Empowered by the Nega-Bands, Mar-Vell was lured into the secret base. During their battle, Danvers was knocked by Yon-Rogg into the damaged machinery. As the outpost collapsed, Mar-Vell chose to bring only Danvers to safety as Yon-Rogg perished. Unbeknownst to Carol Danvers, her genetic structure was altered by the detonation of the Psyche-Magnitron by unlocking her latent Kree powers. Weeks after the accident, she started to manifest blackouts, having her mind supplanted by the spirit of a Kree military warrior. During one of these incidents, she returned to the cave where the Psyche-Magnitron was located and collected a state-of-the-art costume that mimicked her nascent abilities.
In view of her plummeting career due to incidents related to Captain Marvel, Carol Danvers resigned from NASA. Living off an accumulated salary, she wrote a best-selling expose book on space industry, burning many bridges, but also gaining a reputation. As a consequence of the Psyche-Magnitron's alterations, Danvers developed a split personality to access her Kree powers, which included superhuman strength, flight, and a "seventh sense" that caused her to receive premonitions in face of imminent dangers. These abilities manifested when she blacked out and turned into Kree warrior named Ms. Marvel, instantaneously donning the costume the Psyche-Magnitron had created to ease her body's changes. Both of her identities remained unaware of each other's existence. Under the personality of Ms. Marvel, she became a crime-fighting vigilante.  Soon she was Struggling to keep her personas merged, Ms. Marvel could use knowledge from her time in NASA to disable the Doomsday Man. In the end, Korman attacked her, causing the cave they were to collapse; he was gone, but Danvers was recovered by Petrie and Adamson after being exposed to the Psyche-Magnitron a second time.
In a collaboration with fellow super hero and fashion designer the Wasp, Ms. Marvel designed an all-new costume using unstable molecules, distancing herself from the Kree iconography. She traveled with haste to New Mexico to assess the disappearance of a reporter Sharon Cole, who had been taken hostage by the Lizard People. During her investigation into a group of disappearances, Ms. Marvel was ambushed taken to their underground city. In a prison cell, she found the missing victims, including Cole. After killing their greatest warrior, Ms. Marvel had all the prisoners freed in exchange for the Lizard People's existence being kept a secret. Returning home, she received a baby iguana as a token of gratitude for not revealing their secret. Closely associated with the Avengers, Ms. Marvel was invited to join the team as a replacement following the Scarlet Witch's leave of absence. After her bureaucratic initiation, she granted full status as an Avenger. Providing crucial assistance in several missions, Ms. Marvel came to be an efficient team player and related to Captain America, who she saw as an inspirational figure; on the other hand, she faced ideological challenges with her teammate Wonder Man over their perspectives on gender equality. As an Avenger, she also crossed paths with Jessica Jones. Accidentally falling into the clutches of the mesmerizing Purple Man, Jones was forced to serve him as a brainwashed slave and attacked the Scarlet Witch. During the attack, she came back to her senses, but not before being violently pull out of action by the Avengers. Ms. Marvel rescued Jones from death for being able to recognize her as a hero. As a consequence, Jones abandoned super heroics.

Ms. Marvel Vs Rouge
Following a fight against the savage Sabretooth, Ms. Marvel psychically experienced dread sensations of imminent death. The murder of Barnett in his own office prompted her investigate the crime scene with Iron Man, who was able to exhibit how Mystique gruesomely had murdered the psychiatrist. Ms. Marvel carried out the investigation by herself despite her psychic turmoil and was brought to an arms deal made between Peter Coelho and the Hellfire Club. She approached and seduced Coelho as Carol Danvers to gather intel in Hong Kong, where Mystique's Brotherhood of Evil Mutants was found to be secretly linked to the deals. This led the Hellfire Club to assassinate Coelho, leading Ms. Marvel to a dead end. Moreover, Mystique's partner, the seer Destiny, had access possible futures in which Ms. Marvel would ruin their protégée Rogue's life. This caused Mystique to seek personal revenge against Ms. Marvel in addition to her criminal activities.
She was perceived by Destiny, something that prompted Rogue to confront her in secrecy to prove her worth for Mystique. Rogue's power-absorbing abilities erratically interacted with Carol Danvers, who lost virtually all of her essence and Ms. Marvel's abilities. Rogue attempted to murder the unconscious and soul-emptied Danvers by throwing her off the Golden Gate Bridge. Danvers was rescued by Spider-Woman, who caught her before impact. After swimming to shore with the comatose woman, Spider-Woman contacted the X-Men to Danvers' plight upon learning that her mind had become a tabula rasa. The memories stolen by Rogue were restored by mutant telepath Professor Charles Xavier, though he could not return the emotional bonds linked to those memories. Powerless and restarting her life, Carol Danvers rebuked the Avengers for having broken her trust by irresponsibly abandoning her.
Danvers became an ally of the X-Men – Xavier's team of mutant heroes. In the Bermuda Triangle, she accompanied Xavier in the search for Cyclops, the previous X-Men leader. Xavier lost telepathic contact with the rest of the X-Men and was kidnapped by his nemesis Magneto. Danvers spotted Magneto's Island, but was left behind with the rest of the crew on the damaged yacht. The X-Men ultimately overwhelmed Magneto, and set a secret base on the mysterious island. Reflecting on the event where she lost her powers, she was comforted by Logan, who was now the X-Man baptized Wolverine. He reminded her of their shared past, only to much exasperation since she could not bear any feelings about it. The crew of sideral pirates called Starjammers, who were allies to the X-Men, became close to Danvers. Dr. Corbeau monitored her sparring in a physical exercise with them and concluded that, when she gained superpowers, her genetic structure was permanently altered; she remained a perfect specimen despite being stripped of her powers. Despite her loss of powers, she was in superb physical form, only being restrained when the Starjammers ganged upon her.
Later on, she watched anti-mutant politician Senator Kelly demonizing the X-Men on a talk show. In response, Danvers, Wolverine, and Storm infiltrated the Pentagon to destroy all record data about the X-Men. Dressed as military personnel, Danvers used her clout to act as a colonel. Walking towards the data banks, she ran into Rogue. She furiously tried to shoot Rogue, sparking a fight. While the X-Men took over the fight against Rogue, Danvers slipped away only to be followed by a disguised Mystique. Danvers managed to defeat Mystique to prevent the shape-shifter from murdering her. When uploading the Starjammers' data-erasing virus, Carol Danvers found her old personnel files, which she promptly deleted. Knowing she had become a different person, the old Carol Danvers and Ms. Marvel were no more. The mission was successful as she also deleted the X-Men's files despite the battle having further damaged their reputation.

Captain Marvel
The Avengers formed a task unit to intercept the deadly Phoenix Force as it headed toward Earth ravaging planets on its path. Ms. Marvel composed the team of heroes whose mission was to take out the cosmic entity at any cost. The Avengers could not trap the creature in a special cage they had constructed and sought for refuge in Hala to recover. There, the mad Kree Minister Marvel saw the Phoenix as a source of power to strengthen the Kree Empire and deliver their salvation. He orchestrated the resurrection of Mar-Vell by siphoning the Phoenix Force energies in outer space. Through the psychic influence of the Kree Marvel Mind, an organic Omni-Wave, Ms. Marvel and her teammate Noh-Varr had their wills subdued alongside the resurrected Mar-Vell to serve Minister Marvel. Together, the three Kree warriors defeated and captured the Avengers as a way to guarantee the Phoenix detouring to Hala as planned by Minister Marvel. The Phoenix's arrival disrupted the mind-control effect and the Kree were broken free from the illusion. However, it was too late to evacuate the planet and save its population. With Beast's help, Ms. Marvel linked herself to a white hole to become Binary and negate the Phoenix Force's powers to rechannel them to an alternate plane cast by Thor. Since she could not disperse the totality of the energies, Mar-Vell realized the Phoenix had come to claim the portion of its power that resided within him. He sacrificed himself to save Hala, and the Phoenix departed for Earth. Carol Danvers was inspired by Mar-Vell's noble sacrifice and life history and chose to take on his legacy by adopting the mantle of Captain Marvel.

The Phoenix Five
Following the Phoenix to Earth's moon, the Avengers witnessed it possess five of the X-Men following Iron Man's attempt to destroy it. The powerful Phoenix Five soon reshaped the planet according to their views of peace, rendering the Avengers obsolete. The Avengers went to war against the X-Men to dethrone the totalitarian mutant rule. The X-Men started to apprehend Avengers and keep them captive. Danvers contacted Rogue by herself to discuss the evil potential of the Phoenix, but was attacked instead. Defeated, Rogue had Danvers jailed by Magik in a demonic prison created from Limbo. Magik psychologically tortured Danvers until Rogue realized the Phoenix's corrupted ways and decided to break her old nemesis free at the cost of her own liberty. In the end, the Phoenix Five fell to madness, prompting the X-Men to join the Avengers in stopping them. Following the war, Captain Marvel was soon recruited into the Avengers Machine project envisioned by Captain America and Iron Man, being part of a powerful team based at the Avenger Tower and being in charge of leading specific field missions.

The Second Civil War
Provided with a scope of numerous possible threats with the Ultimates, Captain Marvel developed an intense concern for the long-term well-being of the planet. A possible answer to her worries was found in the form of a newly-developed Inhuman called Ulysses Cain, who possessed the power of precognition with an extreme degree of accuracy. He provided Queen Medusa with privileged information about a Celestial Destructor coming to Earth, allowing the superhuman community to prepare themselves to satisfactorily deal with the situation. When celebrating the victory, Captain Marvel expressed her wishes of adopting Ulysses' visions in a more consistent way, something Iron Man adamantly opposed to for not believing in the accuracy of predictive justice. On the other hand, the board of supporters for Alpha Flight recommended her to integrate Ulysses' abilities with her functions. She was compelled to make use of Ulysses' visions after one of Alpha Flight's missions against the Kree scientist Dr. Minerva saw a number of civilians mutated and killed by an experimental biological weapon that had been deployed before they became aware of it. In a subsequent attempt following Minerva's escape, Captain Marvel was updated by the Inhumans to effectively locate and incapacitate the alien mad scientist.
As Ambassador Extraordinary for humanity, she was informed by the Shi'ar that a Cosmic Cube was being created by Project: P.E.G.A.S.U.S.. After evaluating the situation with Dr. Adrienne Brashear, she ordered the dangerous project to be shut down. Confirming her worries, the Cosmic Cube attracted the coming of Thanos to Earth. Being prepared due to Ulysses' preemptive warnings, Captain Marvel ambushed Thanos with the might of War Machine, the Ultimates and A-Force. Tragically, War Machine was killed in action and She-Hulk was left in a coma following the deadly attack. Thanos was arrested, but at the cost of a life, which raised tensions between them. Iron Man kidnapped Ulysses to examine his abilities, igniting the rage of the Inhumans. Captain Marvel asked to deal with the situation herself, but, when approaching Iron Man, they acquired the information that the Hulk would cause a tragedy during a rampage. Captain Marvel and Iron Man approached him for interrogation alongside many other super heroes, which culminated with the Hulk's death at the hands of Clint Barton. After this incident, Captain Marvel was sanctioned to make extensive use of Ulysses' abilities to provide super hero units with intel about criminal activities before they could happen, more expressively the arrest of the inoffensive Stewart Cadwall and his powerful Thundersword. She also assigned Ms. Marvel to supervise the Cadets in charge of her preventive missions.
In order to verify the precision of Ulysses' visions, Captain Marvel hired Spider-Woman to do investigations on his predictions. A vision from Ulysses turned out to be wrong after Captain Marvel arrested an innocent finance banker named Alison Green who was accused of being a Hydra agent. Iron Man then enlisted several super heroes who opposed to profiling to attack the Triskelion and rescue Green, which fractured the superhuman community. Meanwhile, Captain Marvel had recruited the Guardians of the Galaxy, outmatching Iron Man and his allies. In the ensuing battle between Iron Man's and Captain Marvel's forces, the Triskelion and the Guardians' ship were destroyed. The conflict was then cut short when a new vision from Ulysses announced Captain America's death at the hands of the new Spider-Man on the steps of the Capitol Building, with Captain Marvel declaring her intentions of placing the young hero under arrest. Captain Marvel lost the support of her important allies Ms. Marvel, Spider-Woman and the Black Panther, with the last rupture causing the official dissolution of the Ultimates. Additionally, she lost the support of the Guardians of the Galaxy, who eroded from within after they learned she had not shared with them the information about Thanos being kept on Earth. Gamora directly attacked Captain Marvel for her betrayal. Alpha Flight was also affected when a virus corrupted the systems of the Alpha Flight Space Station, suggesting an infiltrator. With Ulysses informing Captain Marvel her teammate Aurora would fight her in the near future, Captain Marvel accused her of sabotage. Her interference ironically triggered the very fight she wished to prevent, setting her apart from her Alpha Flights teammates. The real mastermind was revealed to be the Canadian liaison to Alpha Flight, in fact the Master of the World. Captain Marvel had been aware of his plans, but was not prepared to fight him empowered by the Thundersword. Although Captain Marvel was able to stop him by releasing Cadwall, this cost her the trust of her team.
When both Spider-Man and Captain America traveled to the Capitol to prove the vision wrong, a final and brutal battle between Captain Marvel and Iron Man took place for Spider-Man's fate. Captain Marvel violently overpowered Iron Man, destroying his armor. Losing the fight, his damaged body slipped into a coma. This was followed by Ulysses ascending as a cosmic entity and leaving Earth, as his abilities evolved beyond human comprehension. Captain Marvel was decided to follow her agenda of planetary security and gained enormous public support on Earth and military power in Alpha Flight due to her efficient actions. As Earth's mightiest law-enforcer, Captain Marvel enlisted Jessica Jones to perform a secret mission to prevent superhumans from being killed. To accomplish that, Jones pretended to have gone rogue, being even arrested by S.H.I.E.L.D., but was bailed out by Alison Green. When secretly briefing Captain Marvel, they realized Green was the mastermind behind a complex anti-super hero agenda. With Jessica Jones at her side, Green had her agent Spot subdue Captain Marvel and announced her intentions of harming the teenage heroes of the Champions. Captain Marvel and Jessica Jones then joined forces and revealed their ruse, knocking Greene out and having her under arrest.

Anelle was saved from death by the Invisible Girl's force-field, and Morrat sacrificed his life to protect her. Morrat's death devastated Anelle because she finally realized that she truly loved him. Shortly thereafter Emperor Dorrick allowed the Fantastic Four to leave with the false promise that his empire would never threaten the Earth again.
The Princess was present when her father learned that the Skrulls longtime foes the Kree were active on Earth. When her father summoned the Super-Skrull to go to Earth to do battle with the Kree's Captain Mar-vell, Anelle openly taunted the Super-Skrull's power. However, the Super-Skrull sought to win Anelle's hand in marriage by defeating Mar-Vell. Unfortunately for him, the Super-Skrull was ultimately defeated in combat by Mar-Vell on Earth.
Eventually, the interest on the planet Earth caused the centuries-old Kree-Skrull War to explode once again, with Earth as the central battleground. While the Kree and Skrulls battled in Space, the Super-Skrull and four Skrull spies inflamed xenophobia on Earth in an attempt to impede efforts by both Captain Mar-Vell and the Avengers to stop the war. For this mission, Dorrick agreed to give Anelle's hand in marriage to the Super-Skrull if he succeeded in capturing Captain Mar-Vell and forcing him to create an Omni-Wave Projector, a Kree communications device that could also be used as a devastating weapon. Anelle protested against the mindless bloodshed, but her recriminations fell on deaf ears. Eventually, the Super-Skrull returned to the Skrull homeworld with Mar-Vell and the Avengers known as the Scarlet Witch and Quicksilver as his prisoners. However, when the Super-Skrull was successful, the increasingly paranoid Dorrick saw this as a threat to his rule and had the Super-Skrull imprisoned. Meanwhile, Anelle had grown smitten by Mar-Vell and sought to facilitate his escape. To this end, the loyal Super-Skrull used his shapeshifting abilities to pose as Mar-Vell, while Anelle freed him. Ultimately, the Kree-Skrull War was brought to a grinding halt when Mar-Vell and the other captives were then set free.
Following the end of the Kree-Skrull War, both Mar-Vell and Anelle attempted to secretly sue for peace between their people. The pair fell in love and eventually, Anelle became pregnant with Mar-Vell's son. Anelle named the boy Dorrick VIII after her father. However, Dorrick VII was horrified to learn that his grandson and future heir to the throne was part Kree and ordered the baby to be killed. Anelle instead had the child secretly smuggled off and hidden on Earth with Anelle's nursemaid. There, young Dorrick VIII was raised to believe he was an Earth native named Teddy Altman, unaware of his true heritage for years.
Princess Anelle continued her regular life while keeping the survival of her son secret for years. Her mother, Empress R'Klll, eventually took over the Skrull throne when she murdered Dorrick VII. Anelle never saw Captain Marvel again, as he soon died of cancer. The fates were cruel to Anelle as well, as not long after the death of Captain Mar-Vell, the Skrull homeworld was attacked by the world-devourer known as Galactus. Despite the Empire's attempts to stop Galactus, they were no match for the powerful cosmic being. Anelle was held in her mother's arms as Galactus began consuming Tarnax IV, destroying the entire world and killing every living thing on it, including Anelle. Anelle was survived by her son Dorrick VIII, who eventually became the costumed hero known as Hulkling, a founding member of the Young Avengers. Hulkling eventually learned of his heritage from the Super Skrull, and would go on to unite the Skrull and Kree Empires to form the Alliance.

Who is this Character?
After Mar-Vell died from Blackend, Elysius used Titanian science to conceive a child genetically extrapolated from both their DNAs and named her Phyla. She told her daughter she'd be the new Captain Marvel, and After this, Phylla invited Moondragon to defend the galaxy by her side, which Moondragon gladly accepted. The two later attended the trial of Starfox together. During Annihilation, Phyla had been visiting her father's grave with Moondragon when the pair were attacked by Thanos who ripped off Moondragon's ear and gave it to Phyla, telling her to go to Drax the Destroyer and how his actions would determine Moondragon's fate, shortly before teleporting away with Moondragon. Drax indicated he would not stop his pursuit of Thanos.
Phyla then went with Nova and Star-Lord to lead a final battle against Annihilus, being saved at the last second by a massive energy wave caused by the just freed Galactus, which left only the three heroes and Annihilus as survivors. Ultimately in the battle, Phyla managed to steal away the Quantum Bands that Annihilus took from Quasar, weakening him and allowing Nova to finally bring an end to the Annihilation Wave. She was then seen reunited with Moondragon, and deciding it was up to her to become the new Quasar.
She was seen on the Kree fringe-world of Lamentis, helping with the rebuilding after the Annihilation Wave. Along with Moondragon, now her lover, they helped to defend a temple from raiders, wanting to teach that peace rather than violence was the way to go. They were attacked by a Kree Sentry when the Phalanx took over the War-Net. Phyla was the first to discover that the Kree Empire was cut off from the rest of the galaxy - as well as being told, by what she assumed were the Q-Bands, that she needed to "Find the Deliverer. Find the Redeemer". Accompanied by Moondragon, she followed the commands of a mysterious voice which instructed her to find the "savior" of the Kree empire. During her quest she battled the Super Adaptoid, learned how to control her new Quantum Bands, and discovered more about Moondragon's history, before watching her transform into an actual Dragon of the Moon to defend them. Quasar and the newly transformed Moondragon tracked the savior to the remote planet Morag IV, but were ambushed by the Super-Adaptoid. The heroes recovered thanks to the locals, but discovered the Adaptoid had already reached the savior and was attempting to assimilate them. After a brief fight, the Adaptoid unleashed a destructive force on the nearby town, forcing Quasar to choose the innocents over the savior at the cost of exhausting her Quantum Bands.
Quasar found herself, Moondragon, and the grateful natives of Morag IV in pitched battle against not only the Super-Adaptoid, but a host of Phalanx bent on assimilating the savior of the Kree — the enigmatic Adam Warlock. Quasar and Moondragon ultimately defeated the Super-Adaptoid and in the process, Quasar reabsorbed power into her Bands from the Super-Adaptoid that he had earlier managed to absorb. The mysterious voice guiding Quasar turned out to belong to the Kree Supreme Intelligence, who believed that Warlock would prove to be the Kree's savior. Warlock was regenerating in a cocoon, but his regeneration was damaged by the Super-Adaptoid and the Phalanx. Moondragon and the Supreme Intelligence helped Warlock re-emerge, but he was younger than expected due to the prematurity of his re-emergence), and troubled, despite the mental work of Moondragon and the Supreme Intelligence to soothe him.
Phyla later joined Star-Lord's new Guardians of the Galaxy, a group dedicated to protecting the universe at all times, but when Drax revealed to the rest of the team that he had overheard the truth of how the Guardians were formed, that Star-Lord had Mantis tamper with their minds to ensure the formation of the team, the team to broke up and everyone went their separate ways. Phyla accompanied Drax in his search for Cammi. Consulting with a soothsayer, they were then informed that they could save Moondragon. They went to Mentor, who apparently killed them. In Oblivion, they met Maelstrom and the Dragon of the Moon. Phyla made a deal with the latter to secure Heather's freedom. In exchange, she agreed to be the new avatar of Oblivion. Now calling herself Martyr, Phyla-Vell became a more abrasive and aggressive figure. When the Guardians attempted to negotiate with the Inhumans to stop the War of Kings, she ruined the attempt by taking Inhuman princess Crystal hostage instead, and this led to a battle between the Inhumans and the Guardians, which she continued to escalate. Eventually, the Inhumans tried to end the war by detonating a weapon that would shatter space itself, creating a multiversal Fault.

Who is Moon Dragon?

❝Once he was Arthur Douglas, a so-so jazz musician, as I recall. He ended up dying next to a burning car in the desert between Vegas and Reno. He was my father. I was with him that time, also. But death wasn't the end for dad, just the terrible beginning. There was this cosmic entity named Kronos who needed a champion to keep Thanos in line. He grabbed my dad's soul and used it to animate his hero. So pop became the lumbering behemoth known as Drax the Destroyer. I guess even back then part of me still loved the guy. Didn't stop me, though, from killing him a second time.❞ -Heather

Who is this Character?
When Heather Douglas was still a girl, she was in the car with her parents when they happened to be on the path of Thanos' spaceship. Not wanting to risk having been seen, the mad titan, destroyed the car, killing both her parents. Alone, she was found by the Eternal Mentor, who took her to his home, Titan. However, since he couldn't raise her himself, he left her to be raised by the Shao-Lorn monks in their monastery. While there, Heather studied the Titans' ways and disciplines to perfect her physical prowess and unlock her latent psychic potential. She far exceeded the expectations and pushed her training to areas beyond her teachers' expertise without telling them. In a deep meditation state, she encountered the Dragon of the Moon, an evil entity responsible for the destruction of countless civilizations and who was now hoping to find a vessel to escape. With great effort, Douglas was able to confront it and, in her arrogance, thought she had put a full stop to his plans, but a portion of its being had actually seeped into her mind. Little by little, the Dragon of the Moon began corrupting Douglas and slowly she acquired a god complex. Upon finishing her formal studies, she took the name Moondragon in commemoration of her perceived victory. Later, when Thanos attacked Titan, destroying the monastery, Moondragon was once again the sole survivor. Seeking vengeance, she then escaped in her spaceship and fled to Earth.
Back on her homeworld, she began assessing Earth's defenses. Realizing she had an ally in Iron Man and the Kree Mar-Vell, both stationed in the US, Moondragon decided to stay there, studying the locals. In time, she came to believe that San Francisco was controlled by Thanos, and used Titanian technology to empower individuals that would help her "cleanse" the city, among them Angar the Screamer, but once she met Daredevil and read his mind, she realized the error of her actions. The duo then fought to fix Moondragon's mistakes and, after enlisting the help of Black Widow and Mar-Vell, they succeeded in their endeavor. During this time, Daredevil and Moondragon became infatuated with each other, but Douglas pushed him away, claiming they were on different levels from one another.
Moondragon left Earth with Drax and found a planet immersed in war, so she decided to take mental control of all its inhabitants to force them to live in peace. This caused her to believe herself to be like a goddess. When Drax confronted her, she subdued him with her mental powers. The Avengers intervened, and Thor took her before a real god- his father, Odin, to be judged. Odin perceived within Moondragon a stalwart but tainted spirit. He condemned her to wear a magical headband that would reduce her mental powers until she had overcome her arrogance. He also assigned the Valkyrie to be her guardian. When Valkyrie rejoined the Defenders, Moondragon was forced to go along. She soon discovered that the Dragon of the Moon had been influencing her all along. She managed to reject it fully, and for the first time, started to gain friends in the team; eventually, the headband came loose by itself. After Quasar was appointed Protector of the Universe, Moondragon insinuated herself into his life. She was convinced that, in time, Quasar would realize they were eminently qualified to be the universe's most cosmic coupling. Quasar, however, asserted that qualifications have nothing to do with feelings and rebuffed her. She eventually got the message and lost interest in him. When Adam Warlock sought people to help him safeguard the Infinity Gems, he chose Moondragon to keep the Mind Gem, but only after erecting safeguards so she could not exploit the gem's full power. Still, she agreed to join his team, the Infinity Watch. The gem was eventually stolen by Rune.
Moondragon soon met Phyla-Vell, proceeding to invite her to defend the galaxy by her side. The two later attended the trial of Starfox together. While Moondragon and Phyla-Vell were visiting the graves of Mar-Vell and Genis-Vell, Thanos appeared and kidnapped Moondragon, using her as a hostage to draw out Drax the Destroyer for an unknown purpose. He also used her to read Annihilus' mind, learning that the Lord of the Negative Zone intended to use the captive Galactus to destroy all life in both their universe and his dominion. This revelation prompted Thanos to decide to free Galactus and turn against Annihilus, but Drax killed him before he could do so. Thankfully, Drax was able to coerce the Silver Surfer into releasing his master. The Devourer of Worlds then teleported to safety as he destroyed a great portion of the Annihilation Wave. Surviving the Annihilation Wave, and with her ear regrown by the Priests of Pama, Heather and Phyla took on the mission to find "the savior" to free the Kree Empire from the Phalanx. During the adventure, the Dragon of the Moon changed Heather into a draconic form, intending to take full control of her body within weeks. Despite the fact that Heather would never be able to return to human form, Phyla remained by her lover's side. Their time together was ultimately cut short as the leader of the Phalanx, Ultron, killed her by plunging his arm into her chest. Heather died in Phyla's arms and her soul was sent to Oblivion inside the Dragon of the Moon.
As part of a plan to give Death a new avatar, Maelstrom manipulated the former Drax and Phyla into taking interest in bringing Heather back to life. They sought Mentor's help and he killed them so their souls would be sent to Oblivion to rescue Heather's. In order to save her lover, Phyla accepted to become the new avatar of Death and rescued Heather from within the Dragon with her newfound powers. Heather was subsequently resurrected in a cloned body on Titan for the second time. Drax and Phyla later rejoined the Guardians of the Galaxy, bringing Moondragon with them.

Who is this Character?
Kamala was born in Jersey City, the daughter of Yusuf and Muneeba Khan. Her parents and her older brother, Aamir Khan moved to the United States from Karachi, Pakistan. In kindergarten, Kamala met Nakia Bahadir, who went on to become Kamala's best friend. Like Kamala, Nakia was a practicing Muslim and the daughter of immigrants. Later, when Kamala was entering the second grade, the Khan family met one of her new classmates, Bruno Carrelli. The teacher, Ms. Bartholomew, told the Khans that Bruno's mother had recently lost custody of Bruno and his younger brother Vick. The Carrelli brothers had been sent to live with their grandparents, immigrants from Italy, and their family had been struggling to make ends meet. They had not been able to pay for Bruno's activities, and young Bruno had become something of a pariah. The Khans offered to pay the boy's fees and sent their daughter to play with him. Though reluctant at first, Kamala and Bruno soon formed a close bond over their shared background coming from immigrant families.
Kamala found solace with her two best friends, Bruno and Nakia, something she sorely needed. Though proud and respectful of her heritage and faith, Kamala always felt different and was often mocked by her other peers for her nerdy interests and strict parents. In addition to her friendship with Nakia and Bruno, Kamala found escape in her love of video games, social media, fan fiction, and above all, superheroes. She devotedly followed the career of Carol Danvers, the former Ms. Marvel who had recently started going by the nom de guerre Captain Marvel. One night, hoping to prove herself to be more than the odd duck, Kamala went against her parents' wishes -- and Bruno's -- to go to a party at the Jersey Waterfront; however, her classmates, particularly Zoe Zimmer and Zoe's boyfriend Josh Richardson, kept teasing and ostracizing her. Miserable, Kamala was on her way home when Jersey City was suddenly blanketed in the Terrigen Mists, and Kamala along with it.
Unconscious in her Terrigen cocoon, Kamala saw an unusual vision of three of her favorite super heroes -- Captain America, Iron Man, and, of course, Captain Marvel. The heroes scolded the girl for her disobedience and asked her what she wanted in life. Kamala mused that she wanted to be more like Captain Marvel, and When the vision ended and Kamala emerged from her Terrigenesis, she was shocked to find that she had literally been transformed into a younger Carol Danvers in her Ms. Marvel costume. Taken aback, Kamala struggled to gain control of her new powers. After giving herself some time to calm down, Kamala discovered she was now a polymorph and could change her body into virtually anything. As she ran through the neighborhood, she eventually found herself back at the Waterfront, where she saw a drunk Josh Richardson cause Zoe Zimmer to fall into the river. Instinctively, Kamala changed into Ms. Marvel and rescued Zoe by enlarging her arm to pull Zoe to safety. Needless to say, the residents of Jersey City and the local media were fairly surprised by such a sight, and Kamala fled the scene. Upon returning home, Kamala realized that there was more to being like Carol Danvers than looking like her. As horribly as Zoe had treated her, she was glad and proud that she had rescued her. She wanted to continue that, but it seemed unlikely that would happen, as she was promptly grounded by her parents, who had learned from Bruno that she had stolen away to the party without their permission.
Eventually her punishment ended and while Bruno was working at the neighborhood convenience store, Circle Q, Kamala went to visit him. There she encountered an armed robbery in progress, and abandoning her desire to reconcile with her friend over the circumstances her grounding, Kamala jumped into action in an attempt to stop the burglar, but was shot in the process. Luckily, Kamala discovered that she had a second power: she could heal from her injuries by simply shifting back to her true form, outing herself to her friend in the process. Bruno explained the thief she had just faced was his younger brother Vick, and was being forced to break the law. Concerned, the two friends traced Vick to a seemingly-abandoned house in Greenville. Kamala put together a makeshift super hero costume out of her swimsuit and a domino mask as she went to Vick's rescue. She soon realized that she was not alone, as the house filled with the Inventor's other teenage minions, led by a boy named Doyle with a small army worth of mechanical spiders. Kamala's initial rescue attempt failed as she was overpowered by Doyle and his robot spiders, and on her arrival back home was met by her upset parents. Her father cheered her up by reminding her how much she meant to them, "perfect the way she is". Kamala took it to heart and spent the next day with Bruno developing her powers and making a costume. She later went back to successfully rescue Vick from Doyle, but earned the Inventor's wrath for her actions, Kamala swore that she would protect Jersey City from him as Ms. Marvel.
One day, a monster appeared and began tearing up the city. Kamala sprang into action as Ms. Marvel. To her bewilderment, she was joined by another hero close to her age, Nova. Nova was instantly infatuated with her, but she read his attempts at flirting as rude and out of line when they had a monster to defeat, and was particularly unimpressed with the property damage he caused to her neighbors. Amid the bickering, the teenage heroes eventually defeated the creature by shrinking it into the Microverse. Overcome with her own nerves, Ms. Marvel fled. Nova went after her, and, in a last effort to clear the air, unmasked himself and told her his name was Sam. Still uncomfortable by it all, Ms. Marvel turned down the gesture. The teenagers then awkwardly and bitterly parted ways, both relieved by the fact that it was extremely unlikely that they would ever see one another again.
However, Nova and Ms. Marvel did meet again when they both faced off against the space alien Warbringer at the Liberty Science Center in Liberty State Park. Then, to both of their surprise, Warbringer's presence had alerted a host of other heroes, such as Captain America, Iron Man, the Vision, Thor, and the new Spider-Man, who was also approximately Nova and Ms. Marvel's age. Warbringer had come to Earth in search of pieces of an ancient artifact that could do unimaginable damage to the world, and managed to escape from the museum with the second-to-last fragment. The improvised array of heroes tracked Warbringer to the Long Island Sound, and working together, they successfully defeated him. Impressed, Iron Man invited that the group join him as the newest lineup of the Avengers, which Ms. Marvel accepted wholeheartedly.
Ms. Marvel formed a close bond with her teammates Nova and Spider-Man, and as an Avenger she found herself on many adventures. Between all of her super-heroic exploits and rising fame as Ms. Marvel; however, Kamala Khan still had a life to live in Jersey City. In fact, it soon became painfully clear that she had been neglecting her civilian life after a barrage of revelations that the rest of her friends and family had accepted as common knowledge -- Bruno had moved on from Kamala and was now dating a girl named Michaela Miller, meanwhile, Aamir had found love with a woman named Tyesha Hillman. What's more, a strange gentrification company, Hope Yards Development/Relocation Association, had emerged and, without her consent or even prior knowledge, had begun using Ms. Marvel's likeness in their advertising campaign. This shocked Kamala and extremely displeased Nakia, who went on to become one of Ms. Marvel's sharpest critics, which would remain a strain on the girls' friendship. Looking for answers, Ms. Marvel went to the Hope Yards headquarters, and it quickly became apparent that this was no ordinary real estate company; in fact, Hope Yards Development/Relocation Association was a backronym for Hydra, and secretly led by Doctor Faustus. Things grew bleaker when Bruno was abducted and placed under his mind control, although before Bruno was captured, he had given Ms. Marvel a mysterious warning, Mike had the key to his heart. So Ms. Marvel found Mike Miller and the pair joined forces against Hydra. Mike had the passkey to the private cloud service to which Bruno synced all his data, including any research about how to stop Hydra from overtaking the city. Ms. Marvel came to recognize that Mike genuinely loved Bruno, and realized she respected Mike's resourcefulness, which proved useful in saving Bruno and the entire city. Though the day was saved, Ms. Marvel's reputation had taken a profound beating. When Mike met her again as Kamala, they remained close friends.

Second Civil War
Following the incident at Madison Square Garden, things remained in some semblance of normalcy, give or take a narrow escape from Annihilus, as well as battling a rogue extra-dimensional creature alongside the Avengers, Inhumans, X-Men, and others. Ms. Marvel then attended an after party at Stark Tower where the superhero community was introduced to Ulysses Cain, a new Inhuman with powers of precognition.
Unlike her friends; however, Kamala was confident that the situation would not escalate, even when she was summoned by Captain Marvel to the A.F.S.S. to talk with her. Carol then entrusted Kamala with a team of volunteers to make better use of Ulysses' powers, led by Becky. St. Jude. Captain Marvel told Kamala that her only job was to make sure that she stayed on the right side of the law, and the Cadets then used intel from Ulysses to stop Hijinx from driving a tank through the middle of Jersey City. Later, Kamala talked to Tyesha about the new Inhuman and Tyesha found Ulysses' powers uncomfortably similar to racial profiling, an issue that she knew all too well, and she told her sister-in-law that she should stick to what she knew was right. The next day, Kamala was called into action yet again, but to her surprise it was her friend Josh who was arrested because he was going to blow up their high school. Kamala went to Captain Marvel, certain there must be some mistake, but Carol just told her that everything was working perfectly. Between Dr. Banner's fate and this new development, Ms. Marvel began to question her devotion to Captain Marvel. Kamala then showed up at the Cadets' warehouse to find Zoe and Bruno trying to force the Cadets to release Josh. She calmed everyone down, but later her brother Aamir told her Bruno was going to break Josh out anyway. Ms. Marvel rushed to stop him, but it was too late as the invention to breach the door literally blew up in Bruno's face, severely injuring him.
Bruno ultimately lost the use of his left hand and had to go to physical therapy to relearn how to walk. Kamala was heartbroken, feeling she had failed her friend, her values, and her city. She ordered Becky to cease and desist all activities. This ended up in a physical confrontation between Ms. Marvel and Becky, with Captain Marvel forced to step in. It was clear the issue surrounding Ulysses had increased tensions between Ms. Marvel's two most prominent mentors, Captain Marvel and Iron Man, but Carol stood by her conviction that everything was under control. Frustrated, Ms. Marvel took matters into her own hands, and sought the aid of Hijinx to devise a plan.
Ms. Marvel and Hijinx plotted a fake crime in the junkyard and lured Becky, now calling herself Lockdown, into coming to "stop" them. She and Becky brawled, with the Canadian Ninja Syndicate lending support. Captain Marvel showed up, and Kamala finally told her role model that she could no longer stand with her. Ms. Marvel vowed to protect her city from anything, even if that meant defending it from Captain Marvel. In Carol's eyes, all she could see was that Kamala had betrayed her ethics by joining forces with a criminal. Becky was arrested for her numerous miscarriages of justice, but Kamala had to come to terms with the fact that Carol would likely never forgive her for this. Hoping to find comfort, Kamala rushed to the hospital now that Bruno was on the mend, however, he was too angry with Kamala for what had transpired. He blamed her for his injuries, and these events had caused Bruno to lose all but one of his scholarship opportunities, a school in the Golden City. Bruno declared in no uncertain terms that he was moving to Wakanda and never wanted to see Kamala again. Devastated, Kamala threw away the pendant Captain Marvel had given her before the incursion.
Still, she fought alongside Iron Man and the other Avengers when it became clear that the issue regarding Ulysses' abilities had divided the entire superhuman community. The battle came to an abrupt halt, however, when Ulysses received another vision of the future. Ms. Marvel was shocked and horrified to see her friend Spider-Man standing on Capitol Hill, having murdered Captain America. Captain Marvel immediately called for Spider-Man's arrest, angering Iron Man's team of heroes. When Captain Marvel was about to follow Spider-Man and Thor, Kamala held her back from going after him. Doctor Strange teleported Iron Man's faction away, and Iron Man instructed Ms. Marvel and Nova to find him. They were accompanied by other heroes close their age, namely Kate Bishop and Riri Williams. Ms. Marvel and Nova traveled to their friend's home in Brooklyn, where they were discovered by Miles' father, Jefferson Davis. Unfortunately, Miles decided to face destiny head-on and went to Washington, DC, where he was met by Iron Man and Captain Marvel. The two heroes began to brawl over Spider-Man. Ms. Marvel eventually found her friend at his school, Brooklyn Visions Academy, but by then it was too late, and Iron Man was incapacitated.

Outlawed under 21
One day, after Kamala and her friends had just arrived at their school, she witnessed Roxxon's Asgardian Dragon wreaking havoc in order to kill the environmentalist, Ailana Kabua. She assembled the Champions and tried to fight it, but Viv went haywire and exploded, destroying Kamala's entire school and gravely injuring some if its students, including Kamala herself, who was left in a coma. Because of this tragedy, Senator Geoffrey Patrick passed the Underage Superhuman Welfare Act, or "Kamala's Law" in honor of Kamala. This act outlawed any individual under the age of 21 from operating as a superhero, save for under the condition that they be monitored by an experienced adult superhero.
While things went on, Kamala's friends came to visit her in the hospital. In her coma, Kamala began dreaming about what had happened up to that point, which caused her to finally wake up. Miles was there to comfort her, but she pushed him aside, outraged that her name was being used to outlaw people like her from heroism, and intended to do things on her own. She eventually sent a message to all young people telling them that the Champions would keep fighting wrongs and wouldn't be deterred. Kamala then held a meeting between the Champions and other young heroes in a secret location via video where the Champions berated her for speaking in their name without consulting them. She tried to explain her reasoning, but the meeting was suddenly ambushed by C.R.A.D.L.E., and Kamala witnessed in dismay as her friends tried to escape, while others were sadly apprehended, realizing that someone had sold them out. The law was eventually dissolved.
