(Abbie's p.o.v)
I grew up in a busy city: the city of Applewood. I spent most of my life here, with my aunt. My parents, who lived in the country, was reported to be missing. A week after the investigation, police said that my mother and father were never found.

So, my aunt decided to allow me to stay with her. But now, I have my own life. I'm a researcher, and I study unknown places in hopes of finding one. This isn't my favorite job, but I must have this career, in order to get more money. I scanned through my map, and it seemed normal, until I found a strange place, "Mask valley" is what the map said. I grew curious, and I led my pointer to the section.

An hour later..
I went to my notepad and wrote down this,'Mask valley ' s location. Then came the end of my shift. I didn't have a car, so I always walked home. As soon as I approached my sutle cottage, I was greeted by my white cat, Elise. I pulled out my phone, and called my friend, Rose.

"Hello" she greeted. I smiled. "Hey Rose. Listen, I found a strange area that I need to research. So, if you don't mind, I'll need you to watch over Elise. Ok?" I told her. Rose replied . "Of course! When do you leave?" I swiftly looked at my calendar . "In two days.." I answered . Rose exclaimed, " alright! I'll be right over by then. " I nodded before Rose hung up.

Rose has been my friend since 4th grade. So it was nice to know that she's a good pal. Elise padded in, pouncing on my lap. I gently stroked her fur with a content sigh. Leaving Elise for two days was going to be hard, but I have to take that trip. If only I knew how..
