Xerc didn't resist as Monokumadi led him into the empty room. In fact, he seemed somewhat calm. He didn't complain at all.

Monokumadi asked Xerc to sit down at a table. He sat. Monokumadi sat across from him.

"I want you to remember any of the deaths of your classmates, besides Addie, since you killed her, that stuck out to you," Monokumadi said, "And draw their body from memory in the most detailed method possible. You have ten minutes."

Xerc immediately got to drawing. He took the whole ten minutes, using his pencil and finger to refine the sketch as much as possible. Eventually, however the time was up.

Monokumadi looked at his drawing, and nodded her head, pleased. "Well done. Step back for me."

He did. Monokumadi walked around the table, gently tapping her claws against the table as she circled it before standing in front of him.

Out of seemingly nowhere, she pulled out a knife. And suddenly it was in Xerc's stomach.

Xerc cried out in agony, voice choked by blood suddenly rising in his throat. The headmaster stabbed him again. And again. And again. She slit the knife down his torso, allowing his innards to escape their flesh prison. Without warning, a chain fell from the ceiling, clamping around his neck and basically dislocating his head from his spine as he was yanked upwards. His body, barely realizing it was dead, now hung limply, the light from Xerc's red eyes fading away as he stared in blank agony at Monokumadi below him.

He'd seen this coming, certainly. Perhaps he'd wanted to punish himself.

Otherwise, Dusk certainly wouldn't have been his subject of choice.
