Delilah's P.O.V.

I woke up the next morning and realized today was the day we find the moonstone and I decide to become the Great Alpha. I get to be with my mates forever and love them.

I got the outfit that the werewolves had given me and put it on, pulling my hair into a high ponytail with a braid. I continued until I had my full-on wolf look.

Once I was done, I went downstairs and saw Addison and our parents at the table, eating. She looked at me in awe and them in shock as I began eating my cereal.

"So, new look?" Mom asked.

"I like it. My new friends like it." I replied, making Addison nod in agreement.

"Did you join a...rock band?" Dad asked. I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion as Addison chuckled at both our reactions.

"We got to get to school. See you later." she said as we both got up.

"Have a nice day, girls." Mom told us.

The both of us left and walked to school together with our arms linked. Once we got there, I earned looks from students, teachers, and others. I felt powerful and unstoppable with this new look. It showed that I was different and didn't care about what others thought.

"I gotta go meet with Bree." she told me, hugging me. "Okay. See you, Addy." I replied.

I walked past the election tables, earning compliments from the students. I couldn't help the smirk that went across my face.

"Whoa! Bad hair day?" Lacey asked. "Bad hair life?" Stacey added.

I rolled my eyes and turned around. "I think it looks great."

"Yeah, not so much." Jacey said, followed by all of them snapping in sync.

"Delilah, if you ever expect to be a cheerleader-" Lacey started, but I cut her off with a glare.

"Well, maybe I don't. Maybe cheer team isn't for me after all." I retorted. They all gasped. "No, scram!"

They gasped before scurrying off, making me chuckle. "Such Barbies."

"Delilah!" I turned and saw Zed running towards me.

"I was up last night thinking. You're not a werewolf." he explained.

"But, I love moonlight strolls." I replied.

"Yeah, you like sunsets too, but it doesn't mean you're a vampire." he said.

Why was he so against me becoming a werewolf? It was my birthright and there really wasn't anything I could do. I wanted to accept it because I can finally be where I belong. My mother would've wanted it.

"Zed."

"It's really hard being considered a monster. Trust me." he told me. I walked towards him. "All I've ever wanted is to find my pack. To find where I belong after so many years of feeling alone and suffering."

He gave me a hesitant look. "And now I finally have."

I opened the box and my moonstone glowed as I allowed for Zed to hold it.

"My mom was the Great Alpha, Zed. It's my birthright. It's time for me to continue her legacy." I explained.

He looked form the necklace back to me.

"When I see the wolves, I'm going to put this on. I'm sorry I can't make the debate. But, I need to find the wolves." I finished.

I pulled Zed into a hug and I felt him wrap one arm around me, but lightly. I pulled away and looked at my best friend, placing my hand on his cheek. "Good luck.

I turned around to find the wolves when I realized I forgot my necklace. "Oh! I almost forgot."

Turning back, I grabbed my box from Zed and smiled at him. I began walking until I ended up outside the auditorium.

"It's a good plan, Willa." I heard Wyatt's voice sound as I found the werewolves.

"What plan?" I asked.

They all turned and my mates looked at me with smiles on their faces and love in their eyes.

"We're going after the moonstone. Top secret, you can't tell anyone." Wynter explained. She gasped before putting her fists to her sides. "Bad wolf, bad wolf!"

"You're going after the moonstone now?" I asked.

"It won't survive the detonation, babe." Wyatt replied.

"Then, let me join you. I'm ready to become a wolf! My mom was the Great Alpha. Her name was Cynthia Greene. I'm ready to be part of the pack." I explained.

"Then, put it on and if you are, you can come with us." Willa told me with a smile.

I opened the box and gasped when I saw there was nothing there. Where did it go? I swear I had it!

"It's gone." I said.

"You lost it?" Wynter asked as the smiles on my mates' faces dropped and were replaced with scowls.

"Do you know how precious a moonstone necklace is? If she was serious about being a wolf, if she was the Great Alpha. she wouldn't have been so careless." Willa said.

"If she was serious about being our mate, this wouldn't have happened." Wyatt started. he turned to look at me. "I thought you were serious about being our mate and a member of the pack, but now, you're just useless! We wish we never saved you that night! Good luck, because we reject you as our mate!"

I felt my heart break as I tried to tell the the truth. "No, I don't know how-"

"Stay out of our amazing hair!" Willa shouted, flipping her hair.

The wolves followed her and the minute they left, I burst into tears. I screamed and punched the wall, immediately regretting it as a sharp pain ripped through, but it was the least of my worries.

I sat on the bench and cried with my face in my hands. "I'm sorry, Mommy. I let you down. I let our pack down. I just wish you were here. I need you."

Why did this happen? What happened to the necklace?

Guess I didn't have the answer to those questions because at this point, there was nothing left for me. My mates rejected me, my best friend is basically trying to control my decisions, and nobody really understood what I was going through.

Nothing.
