TESSA IS more of a on the side lines kind of person. She doesn't like being up front and center and if she is then she'll be anxious about it. Art is a way or her to express her feelings and show it to others while not being in the center of attention.

Tessa always had a passion for art and that passion grew each day. Her parents found it funny how she favored art over music since they thought that she would be like her uncle who had a love for music. They thought she might like music because of how much Tessa reminds them of Alex.

Speaking of her uncle, Tessa has never met Alex. She only knows of him because of how much her mom talks about her younger brother. In the attic they have a small space specifically for all of Alex's old stuff that his and Everly's parents basically threw out. There was an old drum set, a few drum sticks, some hoodies, and even a Sunset Curve t-shirt.

Unlike Tessa, one of her best friends and next door neighbor, Julie Molina, has a passion for music. But sadly, ever since Julie's mom died she gave up music. Tessa and her other best friend, Flynn, tried getting Julie to do music a few times again since she has the talent for it and each time Julie would get scared or come up with an excuse not to do it.

When Julie asks Tessa to come over and help her clean out her mom's studio Tessa didn't hesitate to come over. She knew it would be a tough time for Julie to go through her mom's stuff and she didn't want Julie to be alone. Tessa's and Julie's life changed after three boys appear out of nowhere in the studio.
