So uh- here's part of something I'm having a writer's block for. Enjoy-

This has nothing to do with the command game Shredblizzard is currently in. It may explore his personality a little bit. I'd imagine him to be (aside from professional) a very caring guy, this will be reflected in the story.

(TECNICALLY this was SUPPOSED to be for a writing contest, the topic "how your OC fell in love". But I strayed away from that and wrote more about how this love affects his life. How it blossoms, and crumbles. I personally thought that be more interesting than reading how it started. •3•)

●•☆•●

love is a powerful thing. it could bring people closer together, or tear them apart completely.

-"W-what do you mean, dad?"

At Wrenkit's question, the white furred tom looked at his son. "I'm sorry, Frostkit, Sparkkit, Wrenkit." His tail twitched and Shredblizzard could feel his heart acke a little. "But I'm afraid I'm not your biological father."

-"Are you questioning my orders?"

The accusion was heard loudly over the crowded clearing. The white furred Tom in the middle of it all staring up at someone. That someone stood high on top of their usual place (-a smooth surface of the highrock, surrounded on both sides with Castilleja - Bright red flower brushes with thorns sticking out form the sides).

The cat, a dark grey she-cat with icy blue eyes looked down at him. Her gaze challenging. A caramel coloured one stared back. No words were spoken for a long time, but the tension in the air was felt by everyone. And it only worsened when Shredblizzard opened his mouth.

"No, Wolfstar. However I am questioning your judgment."

Wolfstar let out a snort, her eyes filling with some kind of cold (oh, so very cold) amusement. "Oh?" Fake curiosity rolled off the leaders tongue together with the simple word. Her voice sounded different from the accusing tone she'd used just a moment ago. Too sarcastic, too cold, too dangerous. "You don't agree with my decision on this matter?"

It was a statement, not a question. And everyone knew that.

Shredblizzard, to his credit, answered anyways. His composure seemingly not breaking even in such a dangerous situation. "Indeed, Wolfstar. I do not."

That seemed to do something.

As if on cue, blue eyes narrowed, pupils sharpening. So much ice filling them even the deputy, who was seated on a slightly smaller rock on one side of the huge rock, (not facing, nor looking his leader in the eye,) flinched. The temperature seemed to drop at least ten degrees and it was dead silent amongst the clancats.

Wolfstar flicked her tail, it's tip pointing accusingly towards a particular she-cat. Said she-cat's reaction was a horrified look while she curled her tail around three smaller cats, kittens, pulling them closer. Wolfstar didn't look at them, her eyes trained on the white warrior in front of her. "Did you forget they broke the warriorcode? They lied about the father, lied to their clanmates- lied to you. And you still stand up for them?"-

-"Yo- you're lying."

Wrenkit's voice was no higher than a whisper, but heard none the less. His two sisters watched, tears in their eyes as their brother got to his paws. "This- This is some kind of joke-!" The small tom shook his head furiously. Gathering his last bit of strength before the mess of a break down could start. Wrenkit was running, as fast as his little legs could carry him. Running to the cat he's always called his father.

As if he was a grown warrior fighting an enemy clan, the small brown tom launched forwards, pouncing on his target.

Shredblizzard had to push down the urge to flinch.

The small cat he as always called his son, pushed against him. "Quit playing around! This- this isn't funny!" He squeaked. Brown eyes locked onto caramel ones, the former starting to tear up at the sorrowful gaze of the latter returned. "I'm not joking, Wrenkit." His father figure whispered back in response.

"Th-Then- you're lying!" Desperate brown eyes locked onto his mother's. "Mom! Tell dad to stop lying." Wrenkit practically begged his mother, to tell his father it was enough.

His whole body shook, his eyes growing more glossy by the second. This wasn't funny anymore. Shredblizzard had to be lying, he just had to. He couldn't believe his dad- the cat he looked up to and wanted to by like once he got older, wasn't his biological father. That couldn't be the truth! Anything but that.

To his growing horror however, his mother averted her gaze, ears dropping with the movement. "I'm sorry, Wrenkit.." The sentence was spoken so quietly, Wrenkit could have mistaken it for the early morning breeze. But he didn't.

Taking a step back the tom stared at his mother wide eyed, his sisters huddling closer together behind him. "N-no" the simple word was accompanied with something close to a sob. "No, this is some kind of- bad dream." The brown Tom whirled around, looking back at his father. "Y-yeah, this is just a horrible, dream."

He casted his gaze onto the ground, his little nails digging into the earth beneath his paws. "I-im going to wake up soon and- and every thing's going to be back to normal-!"

"Wrenkit." At the slight urge in his father voice, Wrenkit shut his eyes tightly.-

-Shredblizzard returned to camp that afternoon with a successful hunting patrol- well, as sucsessful as one can be in the middle of Leaf-bear.

They'd caught a hare, two crows and a small pika*. It's not much, but for leaf-bare, it was a successful hunt.

Carrying the hare up the mountain side, Shredblizzard climbed his way towards the entrance. An opening, which could be described as a large crack in the stone walls. To get through you certainly had to know how to climb, not to mention getting trough the gap. Oh no, that was a whole nother chalange on itself. But her manage, he's done so countless times before after all.

Slipping trough the opening his fur came in contact with the cold stones, like always. It was... refreshing, kind off- and it somehow brought a comfortable feeling with the cold. He pushed trough, the sent of other cats filling his nostrils.

Once trough the rocky enterance, his eyes automatically flickered to the nursery. It had become a normal thing for him to do so. Ever since Deerglaze had her kits, the tom spend practically all his time (while staying in camp) around the den.

More paw steps sounded behind him as the rest of the patrol emerged from the rocky entrance. He was veugly awear off them as they padding towards the fresh-kill pile, but he didn't pay that much attention. Only when he felt a tail on his shoulder, did he tear his eyes away from the nursery.

A reddish-brown tom dropped a crow on the ground before smiling knowingly at him, eyes glinting with amusement. "Get that hare to the fresh-kill pile first, old friend." The tom meowed. With his paw he signed towards said pile, where the other hunting patrol partisapants had already arrived and dropped down their two other catches. "After that, your dismissed."

When the red tom removed his tail off his shoulder, an almost unnoticeable soft undertone followed his words. "Say hi to my sister for me, will you?" It wasn't really a question, so Shredblizzard didn't bother to answer other than with a wave of his tail and twitching his ear. After he padding off towards the fresh-kill pile.

Once he'd disposed of his earlier catch, the white tom made his way over to the nursery. Fortunately for him, it wasn't that far away. Greeting the other queens with a flick of his tail once he passed the entrance, Shredblizzard padded over to his mate. Warmth spreading trough his whole body, just at the sight of it all.

Deerglaze lay a little to the right of the nursery, her head resting on her paws. Sun beams, while deffinetly colder than they'd be in Greenleaf, warming her brown-white fur while she watched her kittens play. Two she-cats, one grey with white speckled while the other was white, brown spots littering her fur. And a tom, brown fur, the same colour of his mother's, with some white flecks on his back.

When she noticed something- more like someone, moving in the corner of he vision, the queen lifted her head. "You're back." She meowed. It sounded more like a whisper, but Shredblizzard heard it non the less. Once there, he crossed the small distance between them and leaned over, giving his mate a comforting lick over the head. "Sorry it took so long, Redwood thought it was a good idea to hunt down the mountain side for a bit."

He lay down next to her, tail curling around her's. She smilled good neuteraly at that. Her brother always had these kinds of ideas and while they certainly worked, they usually ment the task was harder to execute. Shaking her head lightly, Deergaze decided to humer the tom. Twitching her ear she put up her best 'disbelieving face'. "And that's your excuse for leaving me to deal with the kids?"

Huh, so she wanted to play around with him? Well, two can play at that game.

Shredblizzard unrapped their tails and rolled over, laying on his back while his head rested in front of her paws. Putting up his best innocent act he stared up at her. "Oh, I'm sorry." It sounded more like a whine, but a playfully undertone hid behind his innocent act. "I didn't know my DEERest mate couldn't live without me!" He purred.

Deerglaze stared down at the tom with wide eyes, blinking a couple of times before snorting. She turned her head away, trying her best to keep her composure. "You Fuzz-brain."

Shredblizzard took that as a win. Grinning he rolled off his back again. "Only for you, honey."-
