EVER SINCE AYLA ÖZKAN WAS A LITTLE GIRL, she wanted to be someone in the big wide world of nobody's. Most called the girl conceited or self-absorbed, but Ayla was simply afraid of being forgotten. At first, she thought of acting or becoming a singer, but those things didn't interest her. She wanted to save the world somehow ━━ much like the superheroes she had grown up reading about in comics.

When Ayla was 14, she joined her middle school's newspaper. She enjoyed writing about the accomplishments of other students and just loved writing in general. As she progressed to high school, Ayla her was offered an internship at the Raccoon Times, the city's most popular newspaper, and she immediately took it. She loved writing about the people of Raccoon City and worked hard to expose the injustices against them. Ayla was a local hero, but she wanted to be bigger.

In September of 1998, a viral outbreak flooded the city and turned most of its citizens into walking corpses. Ayla's beloved city had turned into a nightmare. It was a chance to get the perfect story and expose the tyrants that destroyed the city. However, she couldn't do it alone, but fortunately for her, she wasn't alone. Ayla ends up meeting a rookie cop named Leon Kennedy who wants to save the city as much as she does, and together, that's what they set out to do.

NOTE.
Third times the charm, right? I have to admit this is the third time I am rewriting this book, but I am happy with what I have so far and I am really excited to share it all with you! This book is such a guilty pleasure because I absolutely love the Resident Evil fandom and I love Leon with all my heart. I have been obsessed since middle school. 💀 With the remake of the games, I decided to set my RE fics in that universe but I will be taking some events from the original games as well!

I do plan on going through the plot of the game, but things will be changed here and there to fit my own narrative. I have fics for Claire, Ada, Jill, Carlos, Chris, etc (literally everyone at this point) coming out soon! I hope to pre-write for them and then post them! But, we'll see what happens! I definitely see my book for Claire coming out first since it will be a direct parallel with this one!

On to Ayla's character! She is a complicated gal since she wants to save the city and expose Umbrella (the company that made the virus), but she's also doing it for some kind of fame. Ayla has her own flaws and mixed morals, but she will typically do the right thing! Ayla is 21 years old (same age as Leon!) I absolutely love Ayla and I am so excited to write her story!
