Moon's POV

Something felt off.

Which was unfortunately normal these days so I ignored it, hoping it was just a feel of uneasiness and some actual danger.

And of course, the one time I ignored it, it turns out that it really was an actual danger.

So, I guess that's what I get for believing that perhaps we weren't going to get attacked.

Making a decision, I quickly started to run to Ember's room, hoping that I could get there in time before we were attacked.

I was going to get Ember, to alert him that danger was here, and that we had to get lurselves prepared.

However, before I could get anywhere close to his room, there was a bright light that literally appeared out of nowhere.

It's the middle of the night! What could possibly be making such a freaking bright light?

Now I was concerned, really concerned. Was this really aattack? If so, was this their first move? To blind us?

That wouldn't be normal. Every attack I've learned from the Frostbourne, none of them required blinded their enemies.

But what if this wasn't a normal attack? What if...

Then darkness came and a pair of hands grabbed me.

All too easy... soon, Ember will have to choose.
