Word of the Day: Mellow

          The turtles diving underneath for treasure in the reeds,

The damselflies who wander in their opal reverie,

The swifts and swallows nesting in the old graffiti bridge,

The autumn oaks that ornament with golden foliage,

The dandelions dancing in the emerald expanse,

The little fairy-wrens fluting with blue elegance...

          We disregard the toxic parts that mar the scenery —

The cars and veins of traffic inking out our greenery.

Let's rest our weary sinews strained from working through the day —

Lulled by nature's gentle rhythms, mellow, here we stay.
